I stayed one night on a business trip. The room size was sufficient for one person. More than the room size, I liked that the TV was large, and it was great that my subscribed services like Netflix and Prime Video could be linked and watched on the TV. The breakfast buffet had a limited selection, but I don't eat much in the morning anyway, so it was fine. The drinkable yogurt was delicious. However, I question whether it's appropriate for a hotel employee to take food for themselves right next to me while I was serving myself. Directly connected to the station, so you can check in without getting wet in the rain. Enter the Monterey building and take the elevator to the 6th floor for the front desk. The room had a calm atmosphere, and noise wasn't an issue at all. There are multiple elevators from the ground level and station to the front desk, but note that only one operates early in the morning and late at night.

- Windows cannot be opened. - Both of the pillows were very thick, I had a head ache because of that. - There's an air cleaning device / humidifier in the room. - Western food for breakfast is unhealthy and not worth the price: just scramble or eggs, sausages, bacon, Japanese bread (pure gluten), some sweet bakery, butter, milk, sweet muesly / cornflakes, sometimes a mortadela. They have fresh veg / fruit and juice (with sugar) as well. No cheese, porridge or any real healthy bread. - Good soundproof. - The memebers of the staff I met, struggled to understand and speak English.

The hotel is so conveniently located within the Takasaki station. Thjs means there are lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner (no need to get the hotel breakfast). The rooms are quite small, and the "queen" bed is small too, only big enough for 1 person. However it is safe and clean. Pros: 1. Location. 2. Clean (bathroom was immaculate). 3. All amenities available. 4. Drip coffee in the rooms (my first time to try this out and im hooked!) 5. Sleepwear provided. 6. Elevator from reception directly to station Cons: 1. Small room I would definitely come back here if I were in Takasaki.

Rooms were small and tight for a couple. Location was great with the rail station just next door. Eateries were easy to find and there is a mall. Super convenient if you need anything. Overall we had a great stay

We stayed here for four nights and had a very pleasant and comfortable time. The hotel is located on top of the railway station and is a bit hard to find - go to Floor 3 where the JR office is, and you will see an entrance with the name Metropolitan Hotel at the eastern entrance. Take the lift to the sixth floor, There is also an entrance at street level on the east side. The hotel lobby has a grand piano playing itself and is eerily quiet - think lost in translation. ||||The room on the 10th floor was quite spacious, compared to another I saw on the 7th floor. A good range of toiletries, PJs etc, kettle and tea and coffee, and a fridge. A good central location with many restaurants in the station and surroundings. Most however don't have an english menu, or english speaking staff which made for interesting random selections. ||||Takasaki itself has little to offer of interest to tourists. A grid network of haphazard buildings some nice designs, some awful. The castle ruins, moat and gardens near the city hall are nice to walk around, and the views from the top of the city hall are reputed to be beautiful on a clear day.||||We did a day trip to Haruna Shrine in the mountains which was well worth the trip. The number 2 bus starts outside the railway station, on the west side. Enter the bus through the middle door, pay the fare on exit Y1100; change is available from the machine. You can't miss the stop in Haruna village. Enjoy.

We stayed two nights at this hotel in a twin room. Overall a very good stay as parking is convenient, staff is friendly and the room was spacious and well laid out with enough shelves and hangers. No outside noise from the trains was heard in the room. There was a safe in the room, but we hardly use them as Japan is a very honest country.||Breakfast at a fee and had a nice spread including yoghurt and a variety of fresh food.||Would certainly stay here again.

Stayed 3 nights solo. Room was adequate, typical size for Japan, fine for 1 person and tight for 2. Clean, modern and efficiently functioning hotel with staff speaking English. The hotel is very easy to find from the train platform exit, just look to your right when exiting the gates and follow the signs to the lift, 6th floor. The "town"of Takasaki is based about 1 block either side of the station, there is very little to do as such but if you are looking for a base for day hikes in the area it is ideal and worked well for me. Recommend staying here
