If you got the money, use this place. Close to the center of action and a few steps from the JR (green) line. We had the breakfast with our reservation and enjoy it. Not much changes from day to day, but what they have can satisfy most taste buds. On the street plenty of places to eat and get snacks.

A couple blocks away from the station. I would give this a higher for rooms but it took a while for the ac to start when coming back to the room, had to get a fan… it’s summer the ac should be automatic! 🥵🥵🥵. The front desk is good, very helpful and can speak English for the most part. Free coffee, they also have coin laundry, ice machine, microwave, and vending machine. Lots of bathroom amenities and definitely get the bath salts after a long day of walking. Not bad for the price stayed over the weekend.

Had a quick one night stay here but wish it was many more nights! The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. They helped us figure out best directions to our destinations and were really kind about storing our luggage before and after checkin/checkout! The location is perfect for moving around the heart of the city and definitely try the yummy fluffy pancakes at the Hawaiian cafe across the street!!

If you are sharing a single room or staying in a single room yourself, the space is adequate. I appreciate the eco-friendly approach, as the amenities are available at the lobby (and there is an incredible collection). The breakfast is pretty good, although the selection wasn’t personally to my taste. The location is incredibly close to the shopping center nearby and to the train station. However, at night, you will hear trains going by, so if you are easily woken up by noise, you may want to find a quieter hotel.

Great location on a quiet street but still close enough to shopping, restaurants, etc. Clean, with nice amenities, and friendly staff. Rooms are reasonably large but lack clothing storage. The down side is that they have a key activator (your card goes in a slot to activate anything electric in the room). This includes the fridge, the AC and the toilet. When you turn the lights off at night, everything goes off. We had to stock the fridge with ice for overnights to keep food fresh, and buy a fan to keep the air moving. The toilet's flush is an electric button on the wall so you MUST activate the lights to use it. That was frustrating at night. Still, a solid property, would recommend.

Fantastic location. Impeccably clean, and lovely staff. We stayed in the suite apartment room and would highly recommend. Very convenient to have laundry and full kitchen in the suite. The room was spacious and bright with great views of the Kamo River. You honestly can’t beat this location. Consider yourself lucky to book the Stitch Hotel - I promise you will love it. Air con was nice and cool in the July heat. The staff, Harvey and Thea, are so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as can be. Thank you very much. We stayed 9 nights and can’t wait to return!

Great location just 5 minutes walking to Shibuya station. Super clean and staff very nice and helpful. I would recommend to family or friends traveling to Tokyo.

The rooms were incredibly cramped even compared to other hotels that are Japanese style. As a western leaning hotel, I expected it to be larger. The toilet seat heat was not adjustable and VERY hot. The bidet water was very cold and not adjustable. Our room was not cleaned despite requesting it and being there multiple days. We did not have enough towels per person and when more was requested, we were charged. The lobby was extremely hot in temperature where you would sweat upon entering. The doors leading to the train station locked at night requiring you to walk all the way around.

Yelp
Location, location, location! Centrally location in Shibuya by the Hachicko Square and Shibuya Crossing! Not only is it prime location for some of the most touristy spots, but it is also extremely convenient when trying to move around by train. The hotel we stayed at was right above a train station, so you can literally take the train to the third floor and you were at the train station! This was extremely convenient for us, especially when going back to the airport, as we had a lot of stuff we were hauling back, but it didn't really matter as all we needed to do was go to third floor. Unlike the hotel we stayed at in Shinjuku, this hotel was actually a little bit bigger, which gave us more breathing room. We did notice that this room was older, but as long as it was kept clean, that was the most important part for us. As it was fall/winter, the warm seats on the toilets were also everything! The beds are comfy and the room is also pretty clean. One thing I didn't like about this place was the fact that we arrive just an hour short before check-in time, and although they had rooms that were ready for us, they didn't bend the rules whatsoever as far as letting us into the rooms early, which was pretty unfortunate. Instead, they made us wait in the lobby area up until 3PM. They didn't actually officially give us a key until 3:45PM though, but I guess their free coffee and free amenities on the lobby floor makes up for it. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking to stay central for a reasonable price

Yelp
We chose JR-East Hotel Met Shibuya primary for its convenient location attached to the Shibuya station. We took the train from the airport directly to the hotel and our trip was off to a great start. As is expected for Japan, the room is very small, but well equiped. It included a mini fridge, humdifier and free phone for external calls (we didn't need it though). We were plesantly surprised at the shower - which provided hot water on high pressure within seconds (sadly have experienced many hotels with weak water pressure resulting in miserable showers). Also part of the mirror is heated so it says fog free while you shower. Near the entrance of the hotel there's also an extensive amenities table in case you forgot something, or simply want to enjoy a new product, including basics like toothbrushes and combs, or even facial moisturizers and bath salts. They also spoke English fairly well, and smoothly helped us have our luggage shipped to our next destination, Kyoto. We booked a superior single room with 1 large twin bed for 2 people at an avg $159 (including tax). Overall pleasant stay and good value.

Yelp
I'm a fan! This hotel is conveniently located at the new south exit of Shibuya Station. You don't even have to exit the station. The rooms are nicely appointed with a bidet and heated mirror to stay fog free while you shower. At the front by check in you can find most everything you need such as a hair brush, face wash and moisturizer, baths soaks to relax or invigorate, qtips, toothbrush, head band, and a variety of other travel necessities. The rooms are small, but it's Tokyo. Don't expect American accommodations. It close to lots of good places to eat and directly across the street from Lawson should you need some snacks and drinks. The rooms also have humidifiers which come in handy during the dry winter. You just have to put water in it. There is also a free cell phone to use during your stay. You can use it to get around or make international calls home or local calls as well. This place is definitely worth consideration if you are looking for nice accommodations close to trains that will take you everywhere. Also, there are super handy and cheap lockers just outside the entrance to the station should you have shopped til you dropped.

Yelp
Location location location! We arrived late in Shibuya and landed at the JR East station, this is connected to the Hotel Met (3rd floor). We certainly were so happy that once we got off the train, we walked 7 minutes under ground, went up the escalator and boom - we were at the front door of the Hotel Met. It's spacious and roomy for 4 luggage's and 2 adults. There's a queen size bed, a desk with a nice desk chair, a small fridge, an ironing machine attached to the wall, 4 hangers, and a TV. It's a bit older inside the room but hotel itself is in good condition. Best part? It's connected to a trendy restaurant called Public Place and in the Main Street, there's a Doutor, many Cafes, Tons if Japanese restaurants, Stream shopping center, and the cross bridge to walk to Shibuya center. It was an awesome experience.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this hotel. It was attached to the Shubuya station, which is SO convenient! But! It's located south of where you usually get dropped off from the station, so you did have to walk a good 10 minutes. I booked a "superior single room with a large twin bed", and it was nice simple room. The bed was practically a queen size and the walkway around the bed was small. It's not enough to have a large suitcase lay out open, but just to open up and get things out. The bathroom was huge compared to Japan standard and big enough for 2 adults to get ready in at the same time. Best commodity they had was the phone with internet you could take around!!! This helped us tremendously for using maps to get around the city and also for our convenience using the internet. I didn't read anywhere that the phone was provided, so it was such a great surprise. There was construction around the hotel, but it wasn't noisy and it didn't tape off anyplace we couldn't get too. I knocked off one star because I payed $145ish a night, which is pretty steep compared to some cool looking Airbnbs around the area. (I moved up the date of my trip, so all the best Airbnbs were taken). Also if you want to check in earlier than check in time they charge you by the hour (I think 1000 yen an hour). You can drop off your bag and explore a bit, then come back. Overall great hotel, but a bit pricey.

Yelp
This hotel is really only good if you are in the city for a night or two, and need to be near the station (it is attached). I had gotten it as part of a package, and I do not recommend it for a long stay. There is a TON of construction going on, I was woken up most nights with all of the whistles blowing and yelling. In addition, it makes it very hard to get to. To cut through the station, you need to show your hotel key to 'pass through' -- and also get a piece of paper from the aisle staff. On my last evening, I actually could not get to the hotel; the JR staff had shut down the sidewalk to pass under the track. I was advised to walk 1/2 kilometer (at midnight) next to the train tracks to the next crossing hour. When I found a taxi that was able to bring me back around, I presented the receipt to the front desk. They did nothing to reimburse me (basically $4, after I'd paid just over $2,000 to stay there). The 'in room' amenities are pretty slim, a multi-port charger, two packets of instant tea, and a kettle.
