I had a great stay here! The location is unbeatable — super convenient, surrounded by so many good restaurants, and only about a 4-minute walk from Shibuya Station. Despite being so close to the train lines, it was surprisingly quiet; I could hardly hear any noise at all. The amenities were amazing. I loved that they offered Pola brand skincare in the lobby, from cleansing to moisture milk and cream, plus complimentary coffee. Such a nice touch after a long day out. The room size was decent for Tokyo, and the bathroom was also comfortably sized. Overall, a very pleasant and convenient stay. I’d definitely choose this hotel again the next time I come back to Tokyo!

Overall - fairly satisfied but some considerations. Hotel lobby staff is very courteous. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Location is very convenient but it is also hard to find. The entrance from the street is hidden and there should be a clearer sign from the street and in the street-level lobby about the hotel. Something more inviting than a bare lobby without much indication that there is a hotel upstairs. "Eco cleaning" of room should include straightening out of linen. My bedding was left untouched. I did not need a change of linens but it would have been nice to have it straightened by the cleaning staff. The room was tiny - "efficient" for sure - and it overlooked the train tracks - I could hear noise from trains below but it did not bother me. There should be more shelf space in the room. I don't need a microwave but I would have liked to have more shelves to store clothing instead of the microwave. The breakfast area was nice but there were almost no Western options like cereal or scrambled eggs. You could consider a small cafe just across the street for less with typical cafe options. The laundry facilities were very good. There were enough machines available and no wait.

This hotel was conveniently located for exploring Shibuya and Shinjuku. The building is connected to Shibuya Station through the New South Gate.||The hotel itself was fine and did the job. The bed was comfortable, the shower functional. Quarters were very tight with minimal storage, but this seems common for hotels in Tokyo. Staff was very friendly and gave me some band-aids when I asked.||Amenities and tea were available near the desk. There was also a laundry room on that level that we used for a fee. ||The check in process was a little strange as it is done through a kiosk while speaking to a staff member via video screen. She was very softspoken so we didn't even realize she was there at first! Check out was easier because we just did it through the TV in our room and left the keycard in a dropbox on the ground floor as we left.

It's our first time in Japan so we opted to stay in Shibuya. This hotel is close to Shibuya station with all the major train lines like the Yamanote and Ginza Line so it's really convenient getting around. That being said, Shibuya station is also a very busy station (although definitely not as busy as shinjuku station) and gets really packed in the evenings coming back, so this can be tiresome at the end of the day. There are also constructions going on, which adds some complexities in navigating. There are nice eateries around this place, close to the mall to get groceries and explore depachikas. The hotel itself is clean, nice amenities at the front desk. we stayed at a renovated room.

Nice room in a convenient location. Soft comfy pajamas are in the room and changed out every day. Hotel was a 12 minute walk from the famous Shibuya Crossing. There’s also a Jujutsu Kaisen anime location across the street. (Cafe Veloce) It wasn’t the hotels fault, but I chose this hotel because it was connected to a subway station. Unfortunately, the station was under repair/construction when I was there but it wasn’t a long walk from the subway.

My favorite hotel so far from my visit in Japan. The hotel is directly connected to Shibuya station. While it's still a short walk to the train gates, there's a direct new path to make arriving very easy. The rooms are nice, and the hotel is currently undergoing exterior remodeling, which will improve its appearance even further.

This hotel is very confusing to find. Very friendly staff with each encounter. Location is good. Rooms are not as soundproof but the housekeeping is good! Water bottles provided as well!

We stayed in a renovated room. Although small, it was functional. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was poor (no orange juice or similar, no omelets, staff were dull in their responses to requests, we couldn't find any jam, no cheese, olives, etc., and the croissants were frequently sold out).

Yelp
Location, location, location! Centrally location in Shibuya by the Hachicko Square and Shibuya Crossing! Not only is it prime location for some of the most touristy spots, but it is also extremely convenient when trying to move around by train. The hotel we stayed at was right above a train station, so you can literally take the train to the third floor and you were at the train station! This was extremely convenient for us, especially when going back to the airport, as we had a lot of stuff we were hauling back, but it didn't really matter as all we needed to do was go to third floor. Unlike the hotel we stayed at in Shinjuku, this hotel was actually a little bit bigger, which gave us more breathing room. We did notice that this room was older, but as long as it was kept clean, that was the most important part for us. As it was fall/winter, the warm seats on the toilets were also everything! The beds are comfy and the room is also pretty clean. One thing I didn't like about this place was the fact that we arrive just an hour short before check-in time, and although they had rooms that were ready for us, they didn't bend the rules whatsoever as far as letting us into the rooms early, which was pretty unfortunate. Instead, they made us wait in the lobby area up until 3PM. They didn't actually officially give us a key until 3:45PM though, but I guess their free coffee and free amenities on the lobby floor makes up for it. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking to stay central for a reasonable price

Yelp
We chose JR-East Hotel Met Shibuya primary for its convenient location attached to the Shibuya station. We took the train from the airport directly to the hotel and our trip was off to a great start. As is expected for Japan, the room is very small, but well equiped. It included a mini fridge, humdifier and free phone for external calls (we didn't need it though). We were plesantly surprised at the shower - which provided hot water on high pressure within seconds (sadly have experienced many hotels with weak water pressure resulting in miserable showers). Also part of the mirror is heated so it says fog free while you shower. Near the entrance of the hotel there's also an extensive amenities table in case you forgot something, or simply want to enjoy a new product, including basics like toothbrushes and combs, or even facial moisturizers and bath salts. They also spoke English fairly well, and smoothly helped us have our luggage shipped to our next destination, Kyoto. We booked a superior single room with 1 large twin bed for 2 people at an avg $159 (including tax). Overall pleasant stay and good value.

Yelp
I'm a fan! This hotel is conveniently located at the new south exit of Shibuya Station. You don't even have to exit the station. The rooms are nicely appointed with a bidet and heated mirror to stay fog free while you shower. At the front by check in you can find most everything you need such as a hair brush, face wash and moisturizer, baths soaks to relax or invigorate, qtips, toothbrush, head band, and a variety of other travel necessities. The rooms are small, but it's Tokyo. Don't expect American accommodations. It close to lots of good places to eat and directly across the street from Lawson should you need some snacks and drinks. The rooms also have humidifiers which come in handy during the dry winter. You just have to put water in it. There is also a free cell phone to use during your stay. You can use it to get around or make international calls home or local calls as well. This place is definitely worth consideration if you are looking for nice accommodations close to trains that will take you everywhere. Also, there are super handy and cheap lockers just outside the entrance to the station should you have shopped til you dropped.

Yelp
Location location location! We arrived late in Shibuya and landed at the JR East station, this is connected to the Hotel Met (3rd floor). We certainly were so happy that once we got off the train, we walked 7 minutes under ground, went up the escalator and boom - we were at the front door of the Hotel Met. It's spacious and roomy for 4 luggage's and 2 adults. There's a queen size bed, a desk with a nice desk chair, a small fridge, an ironing machine attached to the wall, 4 hangers, and a TV. It's a bit older inside the room but hotel itself is in good condition. Best part? It's connected to a trendy restaurant called Public Place and in the Main Street, there's a Doutor, many Cafes, Tons if Japanese restaurants, Stream shopping center, and the cross bridge to walk to Shibuya center. It was an awesome experience.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this hotel. It was attached to the Shubuya station, which is SO convenient! But! It's located south of where you usually get dropped off from the station, so you did have to walk a good 10 minutes. I booked a "superior single room with a large twin bed", and it was nice simple room. The bed was practically a queen size and the walkway around the bed was small. It's not enough to have a large suitcase lay out open, but just to open up and get things out. The bathroom was huge compared to Japan standard and big enough for 2 adults to get ready in at the same time. Best commodity they had was the phone with internet you could take around!!! This helped us tremendously for using maps to get around the city and also for our convenience using the internet. I didn't read anywhere that the phone was provided, so it was such a great surprise. There was construction around the hotel, but it wasn't noisy and it didn't tape off anyplace we couldn't get too. I knocked off one star because I payed $145ish a night, which is pretty steep compared to some cool looking Airbnbs around the area. (I moved up the date of my trip, so all the best Airbnbs were taken). Also if you want to check in earlier than check in time they charge you by the hour (I think 1000 yen an hour). You can drop off your bag and explore a bit, then come back. Overall great hotel, but a bit pricey.

Yelp
This hotel is really only good if you are in the city for a night or two, and need to be near the station (it is attached). I had gotten it as part of a package, and I do not recommend it for a long stay. There is a TON of construction going on, I was woken up most nights with all of the whistles blowing and yelling. In addition, it makes it very hard to get to. To cut through the station, you need to show your hotel key to 'pass through' -- and also get a piece of paper from the aisle staff. On my last evening, I actually could not get to the hotel; the JR staff had shut down the sidewalk to pass under the track. I was advised to walk 1/2 kilometer (at midnight) next to the train tracks to the next crossing hour. When I found a taxi that was able to bring me back around, I presented the receipt to the front desk. They did nothing to reimburse me (basically $4, after I'd paid just over $2,000 to stay there). The 'in room' amenities are pretty slim, a multi-port charger, two packets of instant tea, and a kettle.
