Great location of this hotel in Taxco. We stayed at "The Studio" room and has a wonderful view of the city. Nice coffee in the room and water. The only thing I didn't like is that you have to ask for the TV remote control and you have to deliver it when leaving (seems that they don't trust you). But other than that, the room and service was magnificent.

I stayed here for a couple of nights. The location is great and the hotel is very cute. You have a great view of the sunrise and sunset. You get hot water from the showers, but you have to wait a couple of minutes. Minimal amenities, which I was expecting. The only thing I didn’t like was that you have to ring the buzzer for the hotel to let you in and out. I’d stay here again if there weren’t any comparable options. I booked last minute so a few of the other hotels that are also centrally located were fully booked already. I forgot to mention. This has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but rather the location. I didn’t realize that people coming to Taxco party, and they party hard. On Saturday evening it was loud from around 8PM until 6AM. So bring earplugs if you aren’t out during those hours and you’re sensitive to noise. 😅😅

This is as lovely hotel, reasonably priced with an artistic flair in decoration. We recommend room 3 Los Libros - a corner spot on the main level where breakfast is served. Nice table and chairs outside our room for our use. Gorgeous view over Taxco. Breakfast is continental - just coffee/tea and croissants/jam. The only drawback for us are the many, many stairs up to the hotel (incredible views) and the many, many stairs down to where the action is for restaurants, shopping and Museo Spratling. My husband has trouble negotiating stairs at the best of times so it was wearing on our energy. If you are fit, there is no problem at all. The folks who work there were unfailingly polite and sweet. We enjoyed our stay very much. Taxis are super cheap, by the way - 25 pesos anywhere in town. So once we got down all the stairs in the hotel and on the winding streets, we were away to the races. No English TV stations.Wifi was fine in the hallways but not good in our particular room.

Stayed with my wife at “Secreto de Amor” (room 4). My sisters-in-law stayed at “Los Recuerdos” (room 5) and my brothers-in-law at “El Estudio”. Check-in was December 30 and check-out January the 1st. ||It is a cozy place one block from the center (zocalo) with friendly staff. Being so close to all the action also made it a little noisy at night. ||We had some minor issues with the room: |-pillows were too soft, so had to barrow a couple from the room next door.|-no direct access to the balcony as the other two rooms. We had to ascend 12 steps.|-bathroom door was out of frame and did not close correctly.|-toilet had an annoyingly hard button to flush.||If we had stayed at El Estudio I would have graded this review as Excellent, as that room didn’t have any of the aforementioned flaws and even had a refrigerator (which we lacked). El Estudio is slightly more expensive, but worth it.||It is a good spot to watch the New Year fireworks, but not handicapped friendly at all. |

Great hotel! Beautiful rooms! But you have to walk up 6 flights of steep stairs! No elevators..

We have visited many places Mexico over the past twenty years and Taxco is among a small number of the most beautiful and interesting. There can be no better hotel from which to appreciate this gorgeous place than Mi Casita, a historic building conveniently located a block from the zocolo. We had the good fortune to stay in El Studio on the top level but we peeked into a number of other rooms, all of which were spacious and beautifully decorated with stunning views of this amazing place. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The room (actually 2 rooms) was clean and equipped with a refrigerator, WiFi, a large closet with lots of hangers, etc. Rooms on the top floor have private balconies while those on the second floor, where the breakfast area and reception are located, have a large shared balcony with tables and chairs. Our room had two large wood and glass doors that opened on to a private balcony with a metal table and comfortable metal chairs that overlooked a small street leading to the zocolo and provided stunning views of the city. Minutes after our mid-day check in we heard music from the street below as a parade of mostly young people passed the hotel and proceeded up the narrow street into the zocolo. Taxco is a noisy place in the daytime but we found that things quieted down at night and that the heavy balcony doors and curtains provided an effective sound barrier. Driving in Taxco is best left to the professionals. We arrived by bus from Cuernavaca and found the ubiquitous VW beetle taxis convenient and inexpensive to use. Taxco is a great city for walking with many restaurants, shops, museums and other sites of interest accessible by walking from Mi Casita. The entire town is steeply uphill or downhill, so a taxi back to the hotel can be worth the small cost after an outing.

Such a great beauty. Great location especially in the heat of this beautiful town, and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are small and quaint. Noise, but that is to be expected this close to the liveliness of Taxco.

Location of this nice little Boutique hotel was great - near zocalo. Room size was large enough, however bit dated. Breakfast is limited and simple - bread, butter, jam and coffee. Water is complimentary and wifi is free. Staff is nice and cordial.||Something was lacking at this place for me to come back again. Of course I will come back if nothing else is available !
