Hotel Midland

Managed to accommodate us at 4am after the accommodation we had booked decided they could no longer check us in leaving us stranded, thankfully Hotel Midland was only a few minutes away & managed to secure 2 rooms for us - the service was exceptional, the rooms are clean & tidy, & the hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the shops we wanted to visit (we were here for wedding shopping). They don't serve breakfast but that's not an issue, as there is Gopal's literally a few minutes away. My only issue was the shower pressure didn't work properly (temp was fine)...but in the grand scheme of things given our situation, I can't complain. Oh, there is also no lift, so not wheelchair friendly as far as I'm aware.

Ensuring consistent cleanliness throughout the hotel would improve guest satisfaction. For instance, the absence of a fitness center or swimming pool may be a drawback for some guests. Additionally, the Wi-Fi service can be unreliable at times, which can be inconvenient for business travelers needing a stable internet connection. However, improvements in room quality, overall cleanliness, facilities, and the dining experience are needed to elevate the overall guest experience. It remains a viable option for budget-conscious travelers but has room for significant enhancements to better meet the expectations of its guests.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. We booked this hotel because of its location, near to airport. We arrived at midnight and tired. Room and toilet were dirty. Toilet flush was not working and so complained immediately. We asked whether they have other rooms to swap. But the staff said hotel was full and no rooms were available. I hardly see people during my stay. He checked the toilet but didn’t fix it. He said someone will come fix it in the morning meanwhile use bucket water to flush out toilet. Again, nobody showed up and fixed it for 2 days. We complained every morning but no use. Shower was not working and again we had to use bucket and mug to have bath. Towels, bedsheets and blankets were not clean. We asked to change them. If you are coming for a vacation, I would not recommend it, it is noisy and full of mosquitoes.

Good for night stay. Location is good. Surrounded by local veg and food market. Good street food around to enjoy. Overall lively area and atmosphere.

I've stayed at Highgates before, and it has always been a happy experience. The location is excellent, the service is courteous and prompt, the rooms are comfortable, and the price is very competitive, particularly given the prime

Sheets and quilt cover had stains all over them Aircon didn't work, just extremely loud ceiling fan. Fridge, toilet and shower were all dirty. Extremely noisy. Had to sleep fully clothed on top of the bed. Checked out the very next day. Payed for 9 nights and no refund for the 8 nights I didn't stay. Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Extremely disappointed and out of pocket for AUD $500
