The hotel appeared unfinished due to remodeling, but overall our stay at Hotel Milano was wonderful! Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, air conditioning, bath products that smell nice, and a good price for a night in middle of Old San Juan. I would stay here again.

Vianka Calderon

Google
Price was about $200 for a night and while the location was worth it, the hotel was not. Elevator worked the first day, but not the second and we had to go down 3 flights with luggage. The room was very small and old fashioned. Floor was carpeted and beds are small. Great view of old San Juan from our room. Bathroom was tiny, but had everything we needed (toiletries, TP, towels, etc). Check in process was very fast and check out was simple drop of the key.

Sarah Curl

Google
Staff is friendly. No thrills hotel. Mainly have 2 stars because felt it was overpriced for the room. Room did have AC that worked well but had a bit of a musty smell. Did have a mini fridge that worked well which was a plus. Staff was helpful and willing to answer questions. Quality of hotel Maintanence/ rooms outdated could be improved.

Google
Great place. The best feature is the fabulous rooftop restaurant. Seriously. Do not pass up a chance to dine on the veranda. Excellent food. Great service. You may have to wait ten or twenty minutes but sit at the bar and sip on cold beer or a delicious margherita. The food is worth the wait. Staff is amazing. Views are outstanding.

Google
The view was nice and the food was good (with some fun options like octopus-filled mofongo! It was very yummy), but the best thing about my dining experience was the service. The service provided by the manager, Marcos, and the servers was above and beyond my expectations. I have specific dietary needs, and the staff was so patient and accommodating. They also provided great recommendations for other local spots to check out. I highly highly recommend the Hotel Milano bar and restaurant.

Google
I loved this place. It was located in Old San Juan. There were do many options for heat food and souviners nearby, including a rooftop bar. The rooms were nice, and ours had it's own a.c. unit. This was great for taking care of the humidity. The staff was knowledgeable and provided great service. They were able to securely keep our luggage for me before check in, as well as after checkout. I would highly recommend this Hotel and would stay there again.

Google
Good location but not for light sleepers on a main road and has a bar with live music upstairs. The rooms are old and dingy with mold stains in the bathroom and stains in the carpet. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The air conditioning has no thermostat just a on and off switch. I don’t get the positive reviews for this property.

Google
The two best features of the Hotel Milano are the location and the price. Our room had a distinct odor so we went down the road and bought something bring back to the room so we could tolerate staying there. The front desk staff wasn't friendly. We tolerated one night before our cruise left and had planned to stay another night when we returned to the port, but we decided to stay at the a different hotel instead.

Yelp
Hotel Milano Rooftopbar has the best mofongo and homemade Sangria in Old San Juan. Not to mention, it's a must thing to do if you're traveling solo. Great friendly staff and if you want to get a good seat to enjoy the view, you better book in advance or you could always secured spot at the bar inside!

Yelp
Booked our hotel stay through booking.com to stay the night prior to our cruise sept 12, 2020. According to Hotel Milano, they would not refund our paid stay because we booked during a pandemic. The pandemic started in March. Who knew it was going to last until goodness only knows when. Submitted both cruise and flight cancellations with a letter from Carnival stating they will not be returning until 2022 to San Juan and this establishment wouldn't do the right thing because of greed. I wouldn't recommend booking here! "Dear Jana Fields, Thank you for contacting Booking.com. We approached Hotel Milano on your behalf to request the cancellation of your reservation. We are sorry to report that the accommodation is unable to make an exception in this case, and you will be charged the entire cancellation fee. Accommodation's comment: "Greetings Jana, We are sorry to hear you're not going to be able to stay with us. Unfortunately, you booked this reservation on June 4, 2020 which was in the middle of the pandemic. Therefore, we are not going to be able to offer a refund or a credit. We hope to see you in the near future so you can enjoy our new renovated rooms. Best regards, Valerie Cintron Assistant Manager" Your reservation is currently live in our system, and will remain so unless you cancel it. If you choose to cancel, you will receive a confirmation email with more details shortly. For any questions, you can contact the property at +1 7877299050 or send them an email."

Yelp
This place services it purposes. I have definitely stayed in worse places . But you can't check in until 3. And we found out why in the morning when we got up. The floor was full of water . They turn the air off for those two hours so they can stop the condensation and clean up the mess . Then when you check in the room is burning up. It does cool down in a reasonable amount of time. But I would stay here again because it's walking distance of cruise port. But I would book a higher priced room.

Yelp
This hotel's reception doesn't know good customer service. They share a lobby with a restaurant and we came early. The receptionist felt to be overly controlling and rudely told us not to sit on the reclining chairs. Apparently there are two different owners of the hotel and restaurant and whatever their problem with each other I think there shouldn't be any control of the guests where they want to sit to wait regardless where they are going, the restaurant or the hotel. By the way, the lobby was empty.

Yelp
We stayed here 3 days total before and after a cruise and enjoyed it. We stayed in two different rooms of the same tier, though they were vastly different. One was dated and the other seemed renovated recently. The signage around the hotel states that they are in the process of renovating their rooms, which can explain the difference in the two rooms we stayed in here. It is a convenient hotel right in the middle of Old San Juan, very near the cruise docks for arrivals but not near the cruise terminal for cruise departures. You can walk to every tourist site in San Juan from this hotel, so again very convenient. The other negative I've had with this hotel is that it they lock up the front of the hotel late in the evening. When we arrived from a red eye flight and went to check in very early in the morning, the front doors were locked and no one was at the front desk. We had to call the hotel, which rang the front desk, until someone walked out from the back room to get us in. Pros: Convenient location to tourist attractions and restaurants Cons: Inconsistent rooms, late night check in can be a hassle

Yelp
This hotel is very nice. Yes, the rooms are outdated and do not have flat-screen TV's, but if you come to San Juan just to sit in the hotel room, you're better off getting a chain hotel on Condado Beach with the rest of the gringos. The staff at Milano is incredibly friendly. They watched our bags until we were able to check in, called us a cab whenever we needed one, and provided us with advice or tips when we asked. There is a restaurant on the roof of the hotel, but the rooms are separated from that traffic by a locked door (each guest has a key to that door and to their room). You really can't get any better in terms of location and authentic Viejo San Juan.

Yelp
Let me first state that we haven't stayed at this hotel, but after my experience today I would caution anyone from using this hotel. My wife & I came to San Juan a day early for a cruise. My wife set up a reservation thinking it was the Courtyard By Marriott ( my wife travels a lot for business ) & uses Marriotts. When she talked to a man calling himself Carlos a week ago & specifically was asked if this hotel was the Courtyard Miramar ( which my wife stayed at 6 months ago) & he claimed it was. She then asked if she could use her Marriott points & he said no. But NEVER indicated this was not the Marriott Miramar as we asked. When we arrived at our correct hotel we found out about the error. The Marriot manager called Carlos & was very rude & REFUSED to correct the problem. He said he was going to charge us for the room anyway. I believe Carlos & the Hotel Milano is very rude & shady for the following reasons 1) the moment Carlos heard my wife wanted the Courtyard he should have said we had the wrong hotel 2) the moment my wife asked about using her Marriott points he should have said that we had the wrong property 3) Carlos NEVER sent a confirmation, nor did he say anything about the stay being non - refundable. 4) When the manager our the hotel called him to try to correct the problem Carlos refused to help. 5) when my wife tried to talk to him when we got to San Juan Carlos was rude, refused to help, & said he was charging our credit card. Then he hung up on my wife. Very shady treatment by this hotel. Use at your own risk FOLLOW UP -- I received the following on Facebook from at this hotel-- Hello John Mulloy, Every clerk that answer the phones answer it the same way. "Thank you for calling Hotel Milano. How can I help you"? The clerk stated several times during the conversation that she was talking with the HOTEL MILANO and not the Marriot. The conversation was pass to another clerk and he to stated that it was the Hotel Milano. Then the conversation was pass to the original clerk that answer the call. After each reservation a confirmation is sent to the e-mail provided by the guest that made it. If the e-mail the guest gave the clerk is incorrect then the e-mail won't get thru. The clerk specifies during the conversation all the detail after filling out the reservation. Name, type of room, etc. Including the type of reservation and she chose the non-refundable. She gave the credit card information and the clerk told her the total amount that was going to be charge to it. If she wanted to cancel the reservation by the hotel policies all cancellation must go thru customer service. They are the only once that can cancel a reservation and give back refund if any. When your wife calls back to the hotel at claim this allegation. She was hysterical and not very cooperative. This conversation was also handling by two clerks and both answer the same way to this review of your statement. She basically harasses the clerk to the phone constantly after they explain the situation and the hotel policies. Att: Richard D. Diaz Martin Hotel Milano Reservations Manager Tel. 787-729-9050 Fax: 787-722-3379 e-mail: milanohotelpr@gmail.com website: www.hotelmilanopr.com I sent the following back (continues to receive poor customer service) Hotel Milano -- INCREDIBLY POOR customer service RESPONSE & untrue. I listened to the original conversation as my wife had it on speaker phone. At no time did you let clerk say Hotel Milano & my wife clearly said she wanted the Hotel Miramar (Marriott Courtyard). So what your clerk said absolutely UNTRUE! If your clerk had said Hotel Milano my wife would have said wrong hotel & ended the conversation. Next --my wife already sent a complaint email the email you provided above & got absolutely no response!!! Furthermore, we NEVER received a confirmation email from your clerk. If he said he sent an confirmation email out he is LIEING! We, while at the Marriott, asked for an original copy of the Confirmation email & he could not supply one; this conversation was witnessed by me & the hotel manager at the Marriott. You accuse an customer of harassment! That is untrue & the manager at the Marriott can confirm that! Calling my wife hysterical is over the top, slanderous & the manager at the Marriott can confirm that my wife was not hysterical and acted professionally. By the way. The manager at the Marriott even had problems with your clerk. We have advised our credit card to block your charges & if you attempt to charge our card we will dispute it! I will also report it to the Police. I believe "Fraud by Deception" is a crime in San Juan. Your rude response will be posted on Travelocity, Yelp, & other social media services. I would think you would have handled this in a professional manner but obviously not!!

Yelp
I was so appalled with this hotel. I felt like I was in a run down hostel. Never stay here. There are so many other hotels in San Juan. The ceiling was dripping brown stuff, the ceiling was made of those squares that elementary schools had, like white cork board and the floor was linoleum. The moment we walked in the receptionist didn't even look up. Not welcoming at all. Then the smells that were wafting up the stairs were disgusting. It must be coming from a restaurant in the building. UGH. Luckily I had to stay only one night. Trust me don't stay here.

Yelp
Not sure why there's so many negative reviews. This is a great place for the money. It's a budget hotel (like Motel 6), so don't expect 5 star. But the room was clean, friendly service, and awesome location. You get what you pay for. Would definitely stay here again.

B L.

Yelp
Nasty rooms! I'm not a 5 star hotel kind of girl, but I do like warm showers and not feeling grossed out when I'm in my room. The location is very outdated and I didn't feel very safe walking around or even in the hotel. There is no one around except for the slightly creepy guys that sit at the front. Forget if you have a problem. The front desk can't do anything but tell you what they can't do. If you do have a problem (such as the spider I found in my room or the air conditioner that didn't work) you have to send an email where they will only address part of your concerns.
google avatar

Jack A.

Yelp
I honestly can't figure out why this place doesn't have a 5 star rating. Check in was quick and painless, our room was clean and in order, the hotel itself is located within walking distance of the cruise port and major tourist areas - not to mention restaurants and bars for days. The roof top restaurant was phenomenal - great local dishes and amazing waitstaff and bar tenders. This is a great place to have fun an experience the best of what Puerto Rico has to offer!
google avatar

Maricarmen O.

Yelp
Older hotel, but don't be discouraged - was clean, very friendly staff & literally in the heart of the city - walking distance to everything - really nice rooftop restaurant is a plus - they even let us do a late checkout & kept our bags until it was time to head to airport - will come back here for sure.
google avatar

Billye D.

Yelp
The hotel is great for the price and it sits in the most perfect location the heart of old san Juan. Everything is literally walking distance the parking is a few blocks away and it only cost $4 for 24hrs not bad at all. I think I found my go to spot from now on when I venture to the homeland on a quick R&R.
google avatar

Brandon Z.

Yelp
The best thing this hotel has going for it is the location. It's a small, private (non-chain) hotel surrounded by shops and restaurants. The people at the front desk were helpful, too. However, it's HOT (no a/c in the halls?), and the rooms resemble that of a cheap motel: double beds covered with 1970s bedspreads, rooms painted that motel-ish pink/beige, bathrooms that smell like b.o. and that the a/c doesn't reach, old school tv's with about 10 channels... you get the picture. Prices were high, probably couldn't stomach this place more than two nights.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
This is going to be short and to the point. Location is perfect. Hotel is alright. Employees are super nice. Price is very fair. We only stayed one night since we were waiting for a cruise. Perfect place for one night.

Karen C.

Yelp
Location, location, location! We stayed at the Hotel Milano two days prior to our cruise on 5/12. You are in the center of EVERYTHING. While the hotel is not a 5 star luxury hotel (it is a smaller, no frills, older hotel), it is the place to stay if you are looking for a clean place to sleep while exploring the city of Old San Juan. Elevator is quirky, but once you know the trick of how it works, it is fine! Centrally located, walking distance to many restaurants and historical sites, it was just what we were looking for. We would rather spend our money on things other than costly hotel rooms than we are only in for a few hours. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant on the roof, Punta de Vista which has the best food (mofongo) and drink specials. It is also near the trolley stop that takes you around the city. We also booked directly with the hotel rather than going through "money saving" travel sites, and found the rates comparable. We had all of our confirmations well in advance to avoid any problems. We would not hesitate to stay there again when visiting San Juan.
google avatar

Minjah K.

Yelp
This hotel was a piece of shit!!! No windows horrible customer service. Cleaning staff only cleaned our room twice in a week . We had no windows in our room. The bald guy in the front desk is rude!!! He denied us water. The elevator felt like it was going to break at any moment. The tv was smaller than a computer monitor . No iron or board in the room . Worst part of it all they have bed bugs . Get a air B&B instead . Only pro is bars are nearby & restaurants . Do yourself a favor and stay away !!!
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
I think I'm just repeating what everyone else is saying but you're basically paying for the location and nothing else. The location is great. The hotel not so much. Staff - the front desk guy was nice. Bags - we left our stuff there for the day after we checked out and it was so ghetto- they left all the bags in the lobby because they have no back room and just tied it up with a chain. Rooms - so weird they use an old school key to get onto the floor your room is on and into the room. The door to the floor squeaked loudly and was right outside our room. Very annoying. The room itself was like something from the 1960s (maybe the tv was from the 80s). The whole thing looked a little drabby and there was no window. They had a weird book everywhere that they were trying to get you to read. I didnt open it but it looked like a cult they wanted you to join. Very cheep soap and shampoo in the bathroom and the bathroom looked like a hostel bathroom. I paid the same price for a four star hotel in Washington DC a few weeks ago so I definitely feel that this place is overpriced and really ghetto. Just know that you are only paying for the location.
google avatar

Veronique B.

Yelp
Location, Location is wonderful everything at walking distance. This hotel is A classic piece of history. I was here just one night before my cruise and I'm very pleased room 209 was great With a awesome view of Old San Juan. If u like simple over elegant this is the place. I'm big on simple with a great location I'm happy and this it did it for me will defintely return and this place will be my choice thx u so much.
google avatar

Dan G.

Yelp
Perhaps it's because my wife and I stayed in a "street view" room, but we had no problem with this hotel. The TV was a (small) HD Vizio which had more channels than we needed because, as everyone has said, the location is fantastic. Also, the AC was very, very cold which felt great on hot days. It is what it is; an inexpensive ($120 a night) hotel with a great location. It could use some updating, but everyone is friendly. Yes, they do hold your bags in the lobby as one reviewer mentioned. They're unobtrusive and will hold them on the day you leave so you don't need to lug them around the city. I suggest finding a B&B in the area, or seeing what deals are being run on apartments for the weekend first, as this is probably the best bang for your buck. However, if you're looking to stay in a traditional hotel, this one is fine.
google avatar

Lindsey M.

Yelp
This hotel is a worthy consideration given it's location. It's fairly priced for being in the heart of OSJ, but it isn't going to win any awards for decor or amenities. The staff is very nice & helpful, the breakfast is standard continental & only $5.35/person, aka what you'd pay for 1 coffee at Starbucks! The rooftop terrace, however, doesn't provide much of a view. The AC worked well, the wi-fi was spotty. There's a tv w/ satellite cable, vending machines, etc. If you are a light sleeper, this might not be the best choice over a weekend, as I could hear music from the clubs until about 5 AM. Not loud enough to keep me up, but noticeable. We only stayed here 1 night, though if we had stayed longer I wouldn't have been disappointed. For those coming with vehicles - there are 2 parking garages on Calle Recinto Sur. Use the 2nd one! They are right next to each other & not easily discernable to a first-timer (like we were), but there is a major price difference. The first garage is $2.75/hr, 24 hours a day. The 2nd garage is $4 after 6 pm & $2.50/hr from 6 am. We paid over $40 for one night of parking & were not pleased!

Christian K.

Yelp
I only gave it one star because no stars was not an option. We had just dined at the restaurant on the roof which was a terrible experience but that's another review. After making our way down I asked to use the locked restroom in the lobby . The clerk, a bald male in his 50s said smugly "you should have used the bathroom at the restaurant". Being in the hospitality business myself I would have fired him on the spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Usually I don't care about food service when I'm on vacation but this experience was horrendous. Where is it okay to just get your table drinks and not follow up at any point. Our waitress pulled the whole I'm pretty so I don't have to worry about your table as much routine. I understand when some One is busy and she was not at all. At the end of the meal she asked me why "I was so cranky?" What an asshat. Service far exceeds food to me and this place lacked just that. Plus the mufongo gave my friend the runs.

Robert S.

Yelp
We were told to wait for a table, even though there were tables in plain view. We ordered drinks from the bar. Fine. Next we ordered our food. Our drinks ran out and no one ever came back to our table. We had to flag down another server just to get any help. 45-50 minutes later, our food showed up. I noticed that other tables around us had to wait a similar amount of time. Everything was cold. My son's fries were barely even cooked. My rice was dried out. My wife's seafood was cold. Our server was hanging out in other areas of the restaurant on his cell phone. Atmosphere was fine. Would be better though if you could get any service or a drink even. Would not recommend this place unless you are going on the wagon and on a serious diet.

Yelp
Hotel Milano is a small local hotel that is right in the middle of the action of oldtown San Juan. The innkeeper is friendly, and the location is great as a base to enjoy the restaurants, sights, and nightlife in the area. Due to its location, the pricing is also higher than some of the option, but the location justifies the price. Upside: Location is great for downtown sighs, restaurants, and nightlife. Downside: Somewhat pricy, older building
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
The good thing to say about this hotel is the great location. It is super smelly in the hallways. Room makes you feel very dirty and unclean. Very expensive for what feels like a super 8 motel. Very unfriendly hotel concierge and it felt like it was a chore for him to help us.

J T.

Yelp
This review is only for the rooftop restaurant Punta de Vista, not the hotel itself. Our family, a mix of locals and visitors from San Francisco, were enjoying a stroll in Old San Juan on a recent Sunday & popped over to this place for lunch. Wow o wow!! Started with bacalaitos & mixed empanadas with a pitcher of white Sangria. From the beginning we knew we were in for a treat. PR food at its absolute best & fantastic service...Those who posted anything bad DON'T know anything about authentic PR food. Our only regret is we didn't take any pictures. Way way better than Raices which is a tourist trap.
google avatar

Anthony T.

Yelp
The service was amazing but the food and drinks were average. The was a recommendation from someone friend that was in the group. She talked about it for 4 days so we tried it. We have better food since we have been here and a whole lot better drinks.
google avatar

Melanie B.

Yelp
I spent 5 nights at the Milano. The rooms are small but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was "upgraded" to a room with windows which you have to stand on a chair to look out of and which overlooked the air conditioning units. However, I still found the windows helpful as they only had a few lights with 25 watt bulbs which I found it very difficult to read by. (I finally went out and purchased a 60 watt to work by. )I found the staff to be somewhat indifferent, the food in the top floor restaurant to be very good and the location of the hotel excellent. On Friday and Saturday nights the music from a nearby nightclub actually vibrated the walls and my bed from 10:30 pm to about 3:30 am. but the music was so incredible I didn't care! All in all, still worth the stay and I would be happy to stay there again.

Lisa A.

Yelp
We needed to change the date for a hotel. I contacted Expedia, and they said that the hotel wanted to do everything by email. They took one week before they finally got back to Expedia, and said they would not let us change the date at all, so they kept our money. Please be aware they will not work with you if you need to change the date at all. Very disappointed.

Yelp
We stayed here 4 nights for the festival SanSe. It's right in old San Juan and close to everything. We didn't stay in the room much being that there was festival going on. Everything was clean and pleasant. Secure building with a desk clerk there 24/7. The hotel is not pricey but at this time of year with the festival gaining in popularity ALL the hotels were expensive. We didn't eat at the rooftop resturaunt felt it was a little pricey. With so much around you to eat the view wasn't worth the cost. Will visit again. If you're looking for something fancy, this is not the place. If your looking for something clean and a decent shower after your day this will work fine.

Nancy U.

Yelp
This was not a good overnight stay prior to boarding cruise ship. The AC never got cold but the shower certainly did. There was zero hot water. Also, the TV never worked. The desk told me how to fix it but did not offer to come to the room. The instructions didn't solve the issue. Other than location to the port, there is no reason to stay here.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
A very bare bones hotel, but it got the job done! The room is very plain, tv is teeny tiny and the tv is probably older than me, but you shouldn't be spending much time in the hotel anyway! No on-site parking but there's affordable parking just a few blocks away. Nothing special, but for the price and location, I'd stay here again.

tina b.

Yelp
A good stay for the budget traveler. Pros: great location in old San Juan. Close to shops & restaurants & sites. Room was clean & comfy but bedside lamp didn't work. Cons: room was tiny with no windows. Bathroom was really tiny. Had to do gymnastics to maneuver into the shower stall.

Yelp
LOVE THIS PLACE! Sweet, quaint, ultra clean and in the middle of it all. This is a positive energy place, and you feel it. This is a good place to stay. I recommend it to you and your mother. Good for all.
google avatar

Gordon W.

Yelp
Most of the reviews are on. We stayed here 1 night before our cruise. The location is fabulous. The price is relative to location, I suppose... It was fine for our use. The breakfast the next morning was fine too. If you are looking for luxury, it's not for you, however the hotel by the piers was more than double, so it really comes down to getting what you pay for. I'd stay the again. The staff was great too.
google avatar

Kathryn H.

Yelp
Decent hotel in a great location! We stayed here one night before a cruise. We had a 4th floor room on Fortalezza St, and it is noisy from the bars late at night. We were able to sleep, but it might be worse on a lower floor. The hotel is basic and clean enough for most. The staff were great, particularly Jose at breakfast! Breakfast is $5.35 for continental, with a nice rooftop location. I would recommend this hotel, unless you are looking for luxury.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
I stayed here one night during my visit to San Juan and sought other accommodations as soon as possible. Even though the location is amazing, my room was dirty. There was mold on the walls (a lot of it) and the carpet strongly smelt like urine. I do not suggest staying here.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Stopped here based on the 2 for 1 happy hour. Has a great view of the port on the roof top. Drinks were strong! Which is a good thing. Others in our party had food, which they thought was very good. Several locals highly recommend the food, so I believe it to be one of the better places for affordable and tasty food and drink. The owner talked with us and he and all the staff are very friendly.

Mary Q.

Yelp
The Hotel Milano is a very nice hotel centrally located and close to the cruise ships. We stayed at this hotel the day before we boarded our cruise ship. The staff was incredibly professional and helpful. The hotel room was very clean and very well organized. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in the city and close to the port!

Natalie G.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here our first night in San Juan and left the next day on a cruise. We will definitely be back! The price was great, and the location was phenomenal! We were within walking distance of every since place we wanted to visit, tons of bars and restaurants, even the cruise ship. The staff was great about giving us suggestions on where to eat, and they let us leave our bags for a few hours after check out so we didn't have to drag them around the city while we explored. The rooms weren't anything out of the ordinary, and the TV didn't work, but there's no need to watch TV when you're so close to everything. They do have a breakfast in the morning for a little over $5 a person, but we wouldn't recommend it. It was mainly toast and some pastries, nothing warm or cooked. In the end, I definitely recommend this place and will stay again when I'm able to go back to San Jan!

Yelp
Front rooms are noisy, back rooms are cell-like. The wifi might be "free" when it works at all, but was not functional for the 3 nights we stayed here. There is a functioning elevator. Pickup and drop off is a nightmare: you block traffic by stopping, and there is no one from the hotel to help with bags. The rooms (I got to see several of them) are in need of a good thorough cleaning and updating. Why have dirty carpeting? The bathrooms are sufficient. The breakfast is the most meager $5 breakfast I've ever encountered and is best skipped - just go around the corner to Starbucks. We love Puerto Rico and the neighborhood of Old San Juan but the price was the only thing that was right about this hotel.
