Only thing good about it. It is clean. Beds aren't very comfortable. No refrigerator and no way to sit back and relax. And watch a TV with cable. After a long day of site seeing. Better off to spend the $20 extra. For a better hotel.

Lovely atmosphere in this historic hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, and found a good place for us to store our bicycles for the night (we were cycling the Ohio-to-Erie Trail). Very neat and clean, and our room was just like in the photo on the website. The breakfast restaurant wasn't open yet, but there was a good coffee house nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Google
We ( there were five of us) had an excellent stay at Hotel Millersburg - beautiful building, spacious and clean rooms, great staff and excellent location right in the centre of town. Highly recommended!

Google
I don’t know why this hotel has such outstanding reviews. It’s historic but it’s not that nice. It’s missing several hotel amenities I would consider standard - cable, mini fridge, night staff, ice, thermostat, fitted sheets…. If you’re staying here after a day in Amish country, there’s nowhere to store any refrigerated items. TV is tiny, pillows are tall and hard, walls are thin. Mattress was comfy, I’ll give it that. The room was generally not that clean - dust in the corners, dirty and dusty blinds. Overall overhyped and disappointed.

Google
Nice and attentive staff... Restaurant food decent and affordable Rooms small but cozy Everything closes at 8 pm Restaurant Bar Front desk Only drawbacks are amenities and parking.

Google
We're riding the OTET and stayed here. Very nice historic hotel with a tavern. The room was large and the bathroom was clean and everything in working order. The staff was very helpful and wonderful helping us store our bicycles. The only drawback is for light sleepers some of the rooms are along the street side and there was a lot of traffic noise until 1:00am. If you're a light sleeper ask for a room away from the street. It's a great place to stay if you're riding the OTET! We definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

Google
Best place to stay after a nice shopping day in Berlin! Short walk to the restaurants, brewery, and the American Legion and Eagles members only clubs. Jamie at the front desk is the best! We have been staying there for several years and just love it!

Google
Very dissatisfied with this hotel. Room was not clean and could not get the room cooled. Checked out after spending only three hours in room. Room as well as entire hotel smelled musty and moldy, no updates for upteen years. Still paid $141.00, what a waste. Chock this up to an expensive lesson learned.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at the hotel yesterday. Ribeye was a good recommendation from the bartender. She took very good care of us too!

Yelp
If the walls could only talk. There is so much history in this building. It's more like a bed and breakfast feel. It has been a hotel ALWAYS since 1840. The house manager was very friendly and attentive. We came in the area for a wedding. I plan on going back in the fall. Be sure to stop in the restaurant as that is just as good. It's on the Main Street in town with some unique shops. This trip we didn't have enough time to walk around so can't wait until next time!!!

Yelp
So disappointed. My husband's chicken was the smallest portion I have ever seen and he couldn't eat his baked potato because the sour cream he put on it was rancid. The server smelled it and apologized and offered to make another potato but it would have taken too long. I ordered a strip steak medium rare and it was medium to medium well. I ordered a sweet potato and got sweet potato fries. She also offered to make a sweet potato but again, it would have taken too long. The owner took my husband's $3 ginger ale off the bill (which he didn't even finish) to make up for bad food and service. What a joke. Should have gone to the Mexican restaurant across the street that Berlin Resort recommended.

Yelp
The hotel itself is quite historical and interesting, but needs attention. It has ceilings that are peeling or suffering water damage that are cracking and bulging. The staff are really great and do the best they can with what they've been given. HOWEVER, the new owner has spent no time taking care of the customers. For the price paid for a room, there are very few amenities. Breakfast is advertised but there is no breakfast. Given the in house restaurant closes at 7 or 8 and is not open for breakfast, there is no room service and no vending machines. There is coffee in the room but no coffee filters. The TV works at random when it wants to. The room door didn't close unless it was slammed shut. The beds are hard and made sleeping difficult at best. We left the day after we checked in. While the restaurant was good and the staff were great, we won't be returning.

Yelp
I stopped by the Millersburg Hotel to have lunch with my Mom at the recommendation of the Amish gentleman that gave us a buggy ride. What a charming old hotel built in 1847! The restaurant and bar had old pictures of the town featured over each booth. Loved the vibe! My mom ordered the perch which was the special of the day. My Mom is very picky LOL! But she ate very well and said she enjoyed her meal tremendously. I ordered the lobster bisque and half a ham and turkey sandwich on sourdough bread. This was a soup and sandwich lunch special. The lobster bisque was incredible! My Mom even liked it;) The soup was thick and creamy with just enough richness. The sandwich was heated so the cheese was melted which went well with the soup! The sourdough bread really pulled the sandwich together. In addition to eating here the hotel manager allowed my Mom and I to check out some of the rooms that were not occupied. The hallways were filled with old timey photos and mirrors. The bedrooms were gorgeous! It felt like we stepped back into time. My favorite room was the one on the front of the hotel as it had huge picture windows overlooking the main street. If you like history this is definitely a "must stop" in Millersburg!

Yelp
Third time going here to eat fettuccine Alfredo and a few hours later had food poisoning and was stuck on the toilet all night vomiting and having diarrhea till I cried.

Yelp
Old antique feel to the lobby, restaurant in the back not real large but nice. Clean and wonderful staff. I had the prime rib think it was $17. Came with green beans, side salad and I ordered Mac n cheese. Prime rib was very large and cooked almost perfect. Salad was good and fresh, nice sweet house dressing. Green beans were canned but the Mac n cheese felt homemade, it was not real cheesy but was very creamy, pretty decent. Princess had the build your own burger. Again very fresh, large hot and cooked perfect. Fries were good too. She also had the sangria and loved it. I had a glass of local wine and was not impressed but that isn't their fault. Other than needing some seasoning we were extremely satisfied with the place, food, prices, service...all was very good.

Yelp
The only two reasons for 3 stars is 1) The parking isn't clearly marked, makes it difficult to find, if you're not use to the area 2) The key situation, it's old school, still traditional door lock on the room doors Other than those two little things its cozy, quiet and romantic for couples.

Yelp
A wait to be seated. A longer wait for service. All 3 of us were ready to leave! Hubby had club sandwich with dark brown onion rings. A friend had fish sandwich. He literally banged the fish on table cause it was dark brown. It did have a fillet in it, tho. I had the croissant chicken salad. It was small on grapes n nuts! It was heavy on fennel. It could not be eaten on croissant because it was too runny. I ate it without the croissant. Not a restaurant we would return for a meal

Yelp
We traveled to Millersburgh to get away from the lunch crowds in Berlin and were glad we did! The hotel staff was polishing the front doors when we arrived which shows they work hard to care for the hotel. The inside is beautiful and if you like historical places I recommend asking the front desk for a guided tour, which if we would've known about prior to leaving after our meal, we would've done but our schedule didn't permit it. We were seated quickly and requested the outdoors courtyard. WATCH your step there is a small hole in the brick covered with a welcome mat that could cause someone to fall. The courtyard is so quaint but it was slightly windy and the umbrellas aren't anchored so they kept nearly coming out of the tables throughout our meal. We ordered fried alligator tail for an appetizer that was very tasty. The Reubens were delicious and the Mac and cheese was good with a huge prob of bacon if you paid a bit extra. I also got it as a side and was surprised by the option size, much bigger than expected. I wished the sauce was a bit creamier and maybe a different pasta like a cavatappi or fusilli instead of the penne but that's just me being picky. I have to say that of all the places I've been I've never had a more personable waitress. She was fantastic! She had small talk at every stop to the table, was attentive, accommodating and friendly (not forced). I hate that I can't remember her name because she really did a great job. Not only that but we had a fabulous conversation with two of the chefs that were set to be married the next day. They were friendly, comical but really just great people that are passionate about people, cooking and each other. My mom, sister and I wish them well. They sure we're having a great time celebrating for the next day and they brought us along for the ride and because of that we even commented later that that alone would influence a trip back to the restaurant if we ever find ourselves out that way again because you were made to feel like you were apart of the family. I highly recommend this restaurant and a tour of the hotel.

Yelp
We stayed in room 218 over the weekend. There was a GREAT singer named Donnie in the restaurant. The restaurant was very accommodating to young children. Millersburg is an ideal staycation from just about anywhere in Ohio. The Millersburg Hotel is Ohio's oldest continuously running hotel. The rooms and service EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. This property is right downtown, which is a BIG PLUS. It's awesome to experience small town America on a summer night.

Yelp
Have been to the hotel restaurant a few times over the years. Since new owners took over, the food is now great. Yesterday I had the best ribs that I have ever had. Food that used to be good is now absolutely superb. Well worth the drive down from Canton to eat here. You should give them a try!

Yelp
I got the room with one king bed - small and claustrophobic. No fridge or ice machine. Restaurant was closed due to covid. Breakfast served five days a week, unfortunately not when we were there. Parking was a challenge, either on the street or in the post office lot behind the hotel. Brass keys - no card reader. I give it a three because the staff was nice.

Yelp
Spent one night traveling through on bike tour. Cute and quaint but rooms were small and we were unable to control the temperature in the room. Had dinner and breakfast there. Dinner we had salmon and breakfast the next morning was biscuits and gravy. Salmon was just ok but biscuits and gravy was yummy. Oh and the salad with dinner...they make their own dressing (can't remember what they called it-sweet and sour something) that was excellent.

Tracy R.

Yelp
The room was nice and the bed was comfy. My complaint lie in the fact that they let dogs in the hotel and our neighbor had a dog that barked non stop for hours with no one doing anything about it. Not everyone likes dogs.

Yelp
Beautiful and cozy hotel in the center of Amish country! I stayed at a one bedroom by myself, and I found the room very clean and cozy with nice antique decor and furniture. Apparently the rooms are all different and they feature beautiful Victorian furniture. I stayed on a Friday night and I'm sure the hotel was booked full, but it was very quiet at night and I had a good sleep. I tried the restaurant too, unfortunately their live music was cancelled due to rain, but there is a courtyard for it. The people at the hotel are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back, and I'm looking forward to stay at a different room. When in a historic town like millersburg, it is so much more fun to stay at an old hotel like this, instead of chain hotels! Great experience overall!

Yelp
My daughter and I were passing through and decided to give the restaurant a try. Big mistake ! Waitress was not knowledgeable about menu ingredients and never bothered to go check . My Reuben was made with poor quality corned beef lunch meat . The waitress claimed she wasn't sure if it was house made, but she was unsure . She said it was prob house made as she never saw lunchmeat packages laying around . Well, it arrived and not house made . It was barely edible . I ate one half and threw the other half out.

Yelp
If you want to escape to small town America, you have found a great place. The Millersburg Hotel was a stage coach stop build in 1847. So expect to find some interesting things there. The hotel is not a cookie cutter generic type of hotel at all. The history of choices made over the last 172 years is evident everywhere you walk. The floors are uneven and rooms are all unique. This is what we came here for. Interesting. Jim checked us in and told us of all the things to see and things to skip. We asked him where to experience the Amish cheese, he said we needed to go to Heini's Cheese Chalet. All the cheese there is made on site but the Amish. The shops in Berlin stock mostly Chinese made decor you can find at any shopping mall anywhere. The stores in Millersburg have hand picked unique items bought at auction from locals. The prices on the antiques were half price of my local stuff and better quality. What struck me was how nice everyone was. Doors held open for us, friendly people not afraid to talk and answer questions. The food at the Millerburg was all fresh made and big portions. The drinks were in larger than normal glasses and again low priced. We drank all night in the garden for less than $40. Jim also visited us as we ate to check in on us and make pleasant small talk, taking interest in our visit, and answering any questions. This is a great low cost weekend get away with all the comforts to make it worth your time.

Yelp
My hubby and I stopped here during our weekend road trip for a late morning breakfast. The building is old and adorable so I knew it would be the perfect stop. We walked in and took a peek around at the gorgeous staircase and decor then made our way to the back of the building where the tavern sits. The hostess greeted us, cleaned a table then lead us to the booth. The tavern was busy and continued to get busier after we were seated. We both ordered the french toast with sausage. We got 6 half pieces of french toast and 2 large sausage patties. The food was served quickly and was very good! I took a star off my review because the service was extremely slow. There were only two servers that we could see and the place filled up very quickly after we arrived. It took over half an hour to have our plates removed from the table after we were done eating then another ten minutes to get the check.

Yelp
The hotel is quaint and pretty clean. However, the blinds don't block out all the light and there are no curtains.. Therefore our room was really bright all night. It might not bother some, but I can only sleep well when it's very dark. There were 2 pillows on the bed, my husband requested an additional pillow and they have no additional. On the bright side the area where the hotel is, is lovely to walk around. And we enjoyed driving around the Amish countryside.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch in the Millsersburg Hotel Tavern. Pretty good food, but pretty slow service. I think they needed one more server to handle the lunch flow. I wouldn't mind coming back when the leaves start to change and staying in the hotel itself. It is old, historic, and quaint. Downtown Millersburg is super cute. Antique shops, little bakeries, and other specialty shops.

Yelp
Checked in on a Sunday. All staff left at 3 PM so we were alone in hotel. It was a little weird...like The Shining weird. Don't stay in rooms at front of hotel. Traffic is extremely loud and semis start at 5 AM. No rest! Take my advice on this. Food was good. Hotel itself was nice and staff was very helpful and very nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Not good, I had the philly cheese steak. Probably the worse I have ever had. Very little cheese and the steak was steak chunks very dry and very few onions. The hotel itself is something to see but not for food!!!! Plus the service was very slow as stated in a previous post.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped in to have dinner hear by chance without doing any research. The hotel itself is really cool and vintage. The restaurant decor doesn't seem to match the era of the hotel and the lighting is really bright. I got the "whale of a cod" fish sandwich. The sandwich was good but the portion size was very small. It wasn't quite what I thought I was going to get. The Mac and cheese as a side was really good. The service here is very slow and not extremely friendly. Overall, it is an average restaurant and I would be willing to give it a second chance.

Lois V.

Yelp
Found this place because I missed a turn in the rain We decided to check it out... really glad we did! I had a bison burger and roasted broccoli; my companion had the half and half... a small soup and half a sandwich... we were both quite happy with our choices! My burger was perfectly medium cooked and the roasted broccoli had just the right amount of roasted to it. The resteraunt is in the back of the hotel... it had a very turn of the century feel.. we enjoyed the old pictures on the wall leading to our table .. liked the framed ledger of Grover Cleveland's signature too The menu was somewhat small but the food was good... a little pricey. We were served very quickly. Next time our business takes us to millersburg, we will check it out again... you should too!

Yelp
Listen, this place is worth a visit and i sincerely mean it. I know our town was traumatized when bill and shirley sold it and everyone was leery ( because nobody in this town handles change well) BUT, with that being said.... my husband and i padded in tonight and had a wonderful meal. I was super impressed with food quality, ambiance and service. The mushroom chicken was to DIE for, the reuben was delicious and the pickle chips with the horsy sauce was total Yum. Their wine selection is better than any other restaurant in town ( seriously) . Wishing them tremendous success! A wonderful asset to our downtown

Yelp
Hotel Millersburg is where I always choose to go when I'm back visiting friends and family, not just because Vickie is an awesome server (and mother) but because the food is great too! Grew up loving the tavern fries and my weird combo of mozzarella sticks with A1 sauce and now love that they have a tasty breakfast featuring some awesome sausage, biscuits, and gravy! The banquet rooms are beautiful with unique features and are a great place to hold baby showers, reunions, etc.

Yelp
Charming hotel with a lot of history. Very clean! Modern bathrooms. And there's a restaurant and bar on site.

Larry T.

Yelp
Be very careful about securing your belongings at nights. Our luggage was stolen ( mainly dirty clothes) but no one want to anything and their are no security cameras.

Brandi M.

Yelp
Very old fashioned! When into the restaurant and sat outside and no one even looked at us for 30 minutes we got up and told the girl in the front that the waitress didn't even Look at us and she said well that's the waitress ! The place is old and dirty and I'm sure the quality of the food is very poor !!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Heidi has been very friendly and attentive to our friends staying here from Cleveland. They are impressed with our small town service. Thank you.

Yelp
Had our first breakfast at the hotel. Food was great as well as the service. We have always enjoyed going there for lunch and dinner and now we can add breakfast. Love summer evenings in the courtyard!

Gary K.

Yelp
I've stayed in this hotel 3 times over the last 12 years, before my recent trip. Always stayed in one of the restored, antique rooms in the historical building, which were wonderful. This time, however, since it was a short-notice business trip, those rooms were all booked, so I tried one of the new rooms in the part of the hotel facing the courthouse. Nice view, and I'll give them credit for trying to decorate the room nicely, but the atmosphere was a bit disappointing. And, I guess because my room was in the far corner of the hotel, the WiFi was unusable half the time. They could afford to add wireless security cameras in all the hallways, but not a WiFi repeater?

John W.

Yelp
I have stayed in this area many times....this is not the hotel to stay at. No extras at all, not even coffee in the lobby. The outdoor patio is filthy. There is not anyone at the front desk between 9pm until 9am. Staff does not look professional (I will Leave it at that). Millersburg really isnt amish. Have stayed at the Wallhouse on multiple occasions and quality is night and day. I was sorta forced to stay here because we brought our dog......dog will be staying home next time
google avatar

Brittany P.

Yelp
Fun place to get away! My hubby and I stayed here for a night and it was fun! A little pricey for the area but it was a fun time! Staff was very friendly and helpful and the locals were great!
google avatar

Larry F.

Yelp
The restaurant mensroom smelled of urine. Those pink things don't work. Food is mediocre at best.

Sue S.

Yelp
Food is not fresh, is way overpriced especially for the poor quality. Long wait time. They actually forgot to give us our entree until we pointed it out on the bill.... & came home with food poisoning to boot. Avoid!
google avatar

Curley L.

Yelp
We tried the restaurant. Big mistake. Food was served cold and it was tasteless. Three of us dined there. The "Millersburger" is not worth the $8. It was served cold. The French fries were served cold as well. To their credit, we did order wings and they were done well and served hot. Not sure I would return.

Emily J.

Yelp
This is a very neat historical hotel. The food in the restaurant was good. The staff was friendly. Our room was very clean. However, the mattress was horrible!!! It was lumpy and WAY too worn!!!

Jim J.

Yelp
Stayed here before and after running a local trail race about 20 minutes away. very friendly and accommodating staff. the rooms were clean and cool - AC worked great. cozy hotel with a restaurant. the restaurant food wasn't amazing but wasn't bad by any meanss (i had the eggs, potatoes and bacon which was great but it was just like jersey diner food - which i do like a lot, the chicken quesadilla was ok, nothing special) but i don't think that should be expected quite honestly. the people are great and the place was clean which for me are important. if i returned to the area i would definitely stay here again.

Thuy T.

Yelp
Horrible! I booked a room with them through priceline. We got a call the next day stating that there was a "glitch" in their computer system, and that they would not honor the price they had accepted for the room. When we called to speak to the manager, he was adamant about not following through on the offer they had placed. He then offered us a 25% discount. So my husband is on the website and the room price was $119. So at 25% off, it should have been $89.25. Instead, we were quoted $119 because they room price was "$159." When my husband told him the price that was online, he called my husband a liar. This is just unacceptable business behavior. First, they tried to switch and bait us, then they straight up called us liars.

Kim S.

Yelp
After having the same owners for many year, the hotel has recently taken new owner ship. We have noticed a few changes right away. The environmental seems lighter. We love coming here because its a family place. The feeling of comfortable is definitely welcomed. The service is wonderful. The food tastes good. Im excited for the direction it will go based on the few changes I have seen so far. From adding new menu items to true vintage design, its a worthwhile stop in the burg!!!

Hamilton A.

Yelp
We had lunch there and I've definitely experienced better!! The battered cod was a very small serving and very frozen-fried cod. I've had much better cod. I do have to say though that the cole slaw was good. My husband had the Reuben and it was OK but not outstanding. I think they could do a lot better!!

Jill H.

Yelp
Such a disappointment! To be clear, we did not stay in the Hotel Millersburg, but we did attempt to patronize the restaurant/tavern inside. We have been to Ohio's Amish Country many times and were looking for a new place to eat. Upon reading a brochure on everything Millersburg has to offer, I told my husband we simply had to try this restaurant! What we got to see inside (on our way back to the restaurant) of this grand historic building was beautiful, but the inattentive staff and poor service left a bad taste in our mouths. To make a long story short, after an HOUR of waiting, we had received a cold meal that was not prepared correctly. We gave our waitress an opportunity to correct the issue, and she did the bare minimum, not caring if we were satisfied or that we had patiently waited for an HOUR for our meals. The place wasn't super-busy -- I would say business was steady -- but still, our server was nowhere to be found. My husband had to physically get up TWICE to go and find her. We clearly were not a priority for this young lady or this place of business. We paid our check and being absolutely starving, hightailed it to a fast food place down the road -- where, ironically enough, we received courteous, prompt service and a hot meal! Bottom line: Maybe this was just a bad night, but if you need a break from the typical cuisine while in Amish country, I'd take a drive to Canton or Masillon. Definitely bypass the Hotel Millersburg. Not worth the wait!
