I have stayed at Mimos several times, both alone and with my partner. Every time the staff has been incredibly accommodating and helpful with any requests. The rooms are always clean, quiet and comfy with easy access to the pool/bar area. Considering the central location between Quepos/Manuel Antonio beach and the amenities offered here (at a great price), it's a fantastic launch pad for anyone wanting to explore the Southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica.

Dirty and stained bed sheets, no bed cover, no WiFi in the rooms, cockroaches, rust on the toilet, broken shower handle. this hotel could be good if it was better managed.|The manager didn't have the keys to our room, we waited 20 minutes for her to find the keys.||The place is between Quepos and Manuel Antonio so there is nothing near.||I would not go back.|Chambres : 1/5 | Service

The room, whilst dated, was perfect for us. We had a large comfortable bed, a beautiful balcony overlooking the surrounding countryside and a large bathroom. The addition of the green corner bath in there was interesting, but we didn't use it! We did have a smashed pain of glass in the door, which we had to go down to reception to get them to tape up to prevent any mosquitos getting in, but apart from that it was okay. There were plenty of eateries within walking distance, although the seafront was only really assessable via bus or taxi due to the distance.

The manager didn't have the keys to our room, we waited 20 minutes for her to find the keys. They also held our passports and luggages in a locked room claiming someone from our group had stained a towel and bed sheets trying to extort the family for 200$. They would not open the door for anyone not related to the event. The place is between Quepos and Manuel Antonio so there is nothing near. The road in front has no sidewalk and fast traffic, so it's very unsafe to walk around. I would not go back.

We love boutique size hotels. This hotel only has 10 rooms. Has a nice pool. Our room has a cooktop, full size fridge, coffee maker (no coffee provided)|Check in has never been so fast, but it was kinda weird. The guy asked for our last name then he took us to our room, told us the door code and said that’s your room. Nothing else was said. Went back to ask for wifi password. We weren’t instructed on anything about the hotel whatsoever.|Sunday we had to leave early to go on a tour. We left at 6:45 and there was no breakfast. Not even coffee. My travel agent booked us here BECAUSE of the free breakfast. |Our bathroom stunk of poop. The smell went away, indicating that someone was in our room pooping minutes prior to our arrival. Anyhoo. Not very impressed. Also huge cockroach in the room. Disgusting. For the safe you need to ask for a key??? Not very safe in my opinion. The windows have sheer curtains so it quite bright in the am. Shower head is old and water is luke warm. Glad we’re only for 2 nights.

Great budget hotel. Rooms could use a little t l c and paint, however rooms and pools were clean and spacious. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. No restaurant, however, restaurant across the street was very good. Twenty minutes from beach, however, bus is across the street and east to use. Wi-Fi in rooms was sketchy. However, in open areas, it worked well. Lots of greenery and three pools.

Very tired hotel in need of some love. Lots of pool furniture broken and ripped sheets on bed. There never seemed to be anyone at reception as tried to get a blanket because I was cold previous night and only a sheet provided. Had breakfast across the road as lunch was horrible. There is nothing much around and need to catch a bus into Quepos town 380 colon each way

I had previously wrote a review on the Villas Mymosa because the first morning was a disaster. (I removed the review and I've written this one now) No staff (apart from cleaners) were around and this was around 7am - 8am. The kitchen was empty. After witnessing people clearing the kitchen out the night before I thought that there must have been a staff/manager/company issue. We had no breakfast that morning but eventually the cleaners who were brilliant got in contact with the manager Jessica. She turned up about 30 minutes later. She didn't comment on the staff shortages but what she did do was resolve all the problems as much as she could which I and my parents and partner were happy with. Jessica and all the staff who are clearly new or knocking up breakfast who don't usually cook breakfast have been great and very friendly. The rooms have been cleaned nicely everyday. Breakfast is basic but perfectly fried or scrambled egg with toast and fruit. |The Macaws come here everyday to eat the almonds from the tree and the toucans next in the tree over the carpark. You won't see macaws in the National Park only here at Villas Mymosa. Monkeys visit daily too. Swimming pool is nice. I hope the business is back up and running as it should be from now.
