Hôtel Misincu

A magical escape in Corsica. Nearly perfect. This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The setting feels like a secret, tucked just above the beach with a beautiful forest path that leads down to a stunning restaurant. The food there is exceptional, and the whole place has a calm, quiet charm that’s hard to find. The staff are the real highlight. From the warm welcome as you pull up in your car to the team at reception and room service, every interaction was thoughtful, kind, and effortless. You can tell they care. Why not five stars? The hotel itself could use a little love. It’s charming, yes, but certain areas are showing their age. A light refresh, not a full renovation, would elevate it from great to world-class. Would I go back? Absolutely. The beach access is dreamy, the breakfast buffet was genuinely good, and the atmosphere is unforgettable. This place is a reason in itself to visit Corsica.

Don’t miss the restaurant ! A great chef. Extraordinary view. Bring a light jacket if you come for dinner.

The hotel is beautiful and we really enjoyed our time in Misincu. All the staff was very helpful and pleasant during our stay and the location is really special. However upon check out, we respectfully expressed to the reception clerk that we thought breakfast was included in our room rate. After some discussion, the general manager came to us and abruptly and aggressively told us it is clearly expressed in the booking and that “she is not a thief”. Honestly we were very shocked by her tone and we didn’t expect this behavior from the general manager of a 5 star hotel!

Sebastian at the front desk was excellent, and went well and above every service request. The hotel is fairly isolated from restaurants but a good peaceful getaway if that is what you are looking for. 4 Stars only though as its not quite hitting the global 5 star hotel standards you would expect. I have all but one complaint - one older male server at breakfast who was exceptionally rude. But otherwise in general all the other staff were polite and courteous and the pool is as gorgeous as the pictures.

Our stay here was very disappointing. While on arrival the staff were friendly and the room appeared lovely, it transpired that the staff were very rude, the room was full of ants and the food was very poor. Not only did the barman give us a lecture on how to order a martini but, having dealt with an infestation of ants that then got into our luggage, we were then told it was probably our fault as our things were dirty. At no point did the staff offer to change our room but instead the trip culminated in three staff members vacuuming our clothing to remove the ants only for the ants to return and get into the other bags over night.

Nice French-style hotel. Not very international yet. All menus in French, French wine list......Friendly staff but service needs to be top-notch before being listed as the must-see place bij Condé-Nest. SPA is small, but nice. YOGA/Pilates is offered but has to be inside your room or in another vacant room, no yoga shala.

Not recommended. Location and accommodation layout was nice however this was tarnished by the poor level of service, particularly considering the high price tag and the claim of being 5 star. This was particularly highlighted by the lack of facilities for children despite the hotel advertising as children friendly. The worst example is probably the restaurant where there is no children option available on the menu and the waiters are reluctant to accommodate for simple dishes (an example of this was asking for a simple pasta with butter which was reluctantly prepared and in the end charged 25€). Also of note, whilst the website advertises a beach bar/food option and and all day food truck on the premises, this is actually not the case and you won’t be able to order anything else than water, juices or beer when at the beach…not exactly what you expect from a 5 star hotel in my opinion. Overall definitely not worth the price tag.

a hotel of 5* level is ashamed to offer guests rooms like 127 - it is corner room on the ground floor with access to the car parking 🅿️ and the path that Staff trod to access his space where they smoke laughting & chat. |Resume - this room is good for stuff not guest. Administration is totally responsible for such ‘respect’ to the guests
