Update December 2023: I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Crucecita. Everything remains at the highest quality. We stayed for a week this visit and explored more beaches. I really enjoyed the fresh flowers in our room. The only added note: there is no elevator, so if you have some mobilty issues, ask for a room one flight up; there are no rooms on the ground floor. The restaurant continues to be absolutely delightful. Be sure to reserve a table on the weekends and if dining after 7:00 pm.
March 2023- Excellent hotel! We booked by chance at the last minute after looking at many other hotels on line. I feel lucky that we stumbled on such a clean, modern, attractive room just off the central park. The bed (linens and pillows); the bathroom and shower with hot water; the AC, are all wonderful. The front desk even provides towels for the beach! Ignacio, who frequently was at the reception desk, was especially helpful, providing us with a printed out map of the beaches and describing them for us in Spanish. Thank you! Always pleasant greeting from him.
We will definitely stay here on return visits. And yes, the 1st floor restaurant, Terra Cotta, is another reason to be delighted by our decision. On a hot night (or morning), the other nearby open air restaurants are not nearly as appealing: this is one of the few restaurants we have been to with attractive, non-deafening music. Lovely ambience and efficient service, with the choice of dining outside under fans or inside with AC. It was a favorite over a 4 day stay.
