Good location. Unfortunately we couldn’t sleep at all the night we spent over there. They had a big group of young teens , they had a party in the rooms !! Too loud.

A hotel that's definitely seen better days. I stayed here for a week after getting a decent enough deal online. I was first put in a larger room facing the street. I was able to move to a room opposite the street, which was much quieter (except for the barking dogs), but the room left a *lot* to be desired. The windows were literally held by tape, and there must have been dozens of bugs in the overhead bathroom light. Truly disgusting. Also, each morning at exactly 10:45am, room keeping loudly knocked on each door with a "Buen dia! Como estas!?" that could be heard throughout the entire floor. The internet? Barely functional. The bed? Sunken and squeaky. Bonus, my room card needed to be reset each day of the first four days of the reservation. The price was fine for what it was, and it was within walking distance to Centro and the ADO bus station, but I definitely would not stay here again. Having said that, the front desk staff were very friendly.

We spent a while at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. They have beautiful spacious rooms, and great service. Location is not great if you plan on walking but if you're driving it's close to the center and other great areas. The terrace has a beautiful view of the city also. My son loved finding towel animals on the beds. We would stay here again.

The worst hotel ever. Bed linings are yellow from the years and doesn't look clean. The building is falling apart. Not even the room's doors seal ok, they leave a space above which allows cold air flow inside. The breakfast is served in a poorly mounted salon, kind of a refugee warehouse lookalike.

On Dec 27th 2015, I have got my reservation done for a Master Suite room on 5th Floor and I did get a confirmation from the Hotel that the room is on the 5th floor and has a good view. A Master suite room has an Air conditioner and the rooms are bigger. We are travelling with a on year old baby.||||To my surprise, when I checked in on 30th December 2015, the hotel staff says that there aren't any master suites available and all are full!! How ridiculous it is for hotel to do an overbooking knowing that the rooms aren't available.||||They have given me a superior room which horribly stinks, doesn't have an air conditioner (Xalapa is cold so AC will help us to increase the temperature too), the shower head in the room doesn't work!!... The most surprising fact is I have been charged for the Superior Room with the same cost as that of a Master Suite!!! Isn't it horribly ridiculous.... The staff is so unfriendly and they aren't willing to refund the amount that they charged me extra which is a sheer looting of the travellers (foreigners).. This is something very strange that I noticed which is quite UNCOMMON with other mexicans.. Usually Mexicans are very friendly!!!||||Unfortunately, we still have one more night to pass... I would never ever return to this hotel, who doesn't know what hospitality is and would definitely never recommend it unless the hotel management addresses this issue on priority....

Hotel Mision Xalapa Plaza de las Convenciones is a nice hotel within a reasonable walking distance (16 min. walk) from downtown Xalapa and not very far from the Bus station (CAXA - 10 min. walk). Its old colonial style makes it a nice experience including a marvelous pool and a small but traditional restaurant. Just, beware of some rooms that may be very small and lacking proper ventilation. Xalapa is a must see in Mexico!!

Good location. If you want views of the city, ask for room on the 5th floor . Rustic but well maintained. Will definitely return.
