Hotel Miss Blanche

I went to a conference in Groningen and the organiser recommended this Hotel. The room was so beautiful and cozy. I thought I would hear a lot of noise since it’s in the center, but I did not have any issues with sleeping at night. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Groningen:)

We were thrilled when we checked in to our top-floor suite at Hotel Miss Blanche - what a spacious, airy, and light-filled place! We had requested a balcony, as we saw you could do so, and the outdoor area was so clean and had a fantastic view of a main bridge and tree-lined canal in town. We absolutely felt that we got our money's worth with this beautiful suite. Two slight drawbacks are that you can hear a lot of street noise even on the top floor, and it's common late at night in this busy university city, but the hotel does provide earplugs. Secondly, the living room furniture did not quite seem the same quality as the rest of the furniture in the apartment--not as refined, with removable furniture covers--kind of like dormitory pieces. It's also important to know that the flights of stairs to the suites are steep and narrow. These issues were very minor in an otherwise perfect stay. The customer service was lovely, with an in-person welcome to the suite and a kind farewell at check-out. Will definitely recommend and return to if we are ever fortunate enough to come back to Groningen!

Wonderful boutique hotel in the loveliest area of town. Very warm and helpful welcome. Great breakfast and bar right by the canal. Room extremely well equipped and comfortable. The private car park is just 3 minute walk away and is a definite plus. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

We booked this hotel due to the positive reviews it has, and boy, they were sooo true! Hotel Miss Blanche is as close to the center as you can get! We highly recommend to book a parking spot, if you travel by car. It is totally worth it.... What impressed us the most by far was the hotel's staff! We hardly ever met personnel so dedicated to meet the guests needs as in this hotel! So: Thank you very much for everything you guys did, not only are we returning, we recommend your hotel in every way possible.

Thank you so much to all the team at Miss Blanche and especially to Bjorn for the past 4 years staying at Miss Blanche. We have loved every single visit and enjoyed staying in all the different houses and rooms and suites. You minded our daughter Lara throughout her 4 years at Hanze, staying in Blockhouse and Student Guest house. My parents stayed in Miss Blanche. My sisters and niece, other friends.... but this last visit last week for Lara's graduation was just magical. We stayed in the large 2-bedroom executive suite, overlooking the canal. It was simply perfection and it was so big that we could host pre-graduation drinks for friends and family. It was so fantastic. Breakfast quality of the produce was also excellent and all the staff are so nice and friendly. They even facilitated a late check-out on departure. Thank you so sincerely. Can’t recommend it enough. Very clean modern Hotel with premium touches in decor & amenities. Interaction with the very professional, warm and caring staff was of 5 star class. Great services, Restaurants and wine bar right next door in what is likely the most beautiful area of Groningen. And got an upgrade just for walking in…. Much appreciated!!

Had a 3 night stay. Only good words - friendly personal, clean and pleasant rooms. Got upgraded without even asking for it. Near the hotel plenty or caffes and restaurants. Parking also very convenient. Had a special request about receipt - was provided in exact form it was needed. Definitely will stay there again next visit of Groningen.

Cannot recommend this place too highly. Friendly staff, extremely clean and painstakingly looked after. There are 11 buildings and the one we stayed in was very quiet. Really comfortable bed, warm floors kept us cozy. Small kitchen area was a great feature. If you book a room that advertises a laundry option, check with the staff as to where it's located. Ours was just outside the suite in a closet. Washer and dryer. Took us a minute to figure out that the dryer has a compartment that fills up with the moisture from your clothes and needs to be emptied periodically. Breakfast was delicious to boot.

Furniture and look and feel are very nice, personnel is really friendly. We had a mini-suite - and thats where it went off track - mini was really mini. You could walk around the bed. Nothing more nothing less. ok for one night, not for more. The bigger suites seemed nice though.
