Amazing service with very attentive and helpful staff. Room although a bit on the smaller side it makes up for it with its extravagant decor. Great location within a very nice area although not in the city center very easily reachable within 15 minutes by bus. Breakfast with many options and served on a very ample and beautiful table setting! Overall a great experience. Most definitely will book for future Hamburg visits!

The most wonderful Downtown Abbey like place to stay while in Hamburg! My family and I enjoyed our stay a lot and wish to come back again:) Everyone working there was super friendly and kind, which made our stay even better! The breakfast was not only delicious, but beautiful. Also, upon request it was prepared to go, which was also sweet. The garden outside is amazing, taken care of and is a cozy place to enjoy a drink/a dish. Can definitely recommend! I wish I knew all of the names to whom I’d like to thank, but a special one goes to the kind woman in charge of breakfasts ❤️

The area is quiet, a few minutes walk from the Metro and about 10-15 minutes walk to restaurants. ||The hotel is a large property - sweeping staircase, interesting items of decor, paintings, etc. ||Welcome was warm and friendly. Breakfast was a good continental selection in an interesting room. ||It's a good place to stay but maybe not the best choice if you want to work into the evening. |Bedroom was small but fine. Wifi free and very good. ||Clean, interesting and good if you don't need the additional services offered by a chain. ||

The décor is old fashion, that is very true and in many other cirumstances I would have find it overwhelming, specially in the bedrooms but Mittelweg Hotel has its own quirky signature, its own character and that old fashion feeling just becomes inviting and charming. The building is located on a prime location, a fine district, so close to the outer Alster lake, and if you are a walker you will find very pleasnt to walk to town from the hotel either on the side walks where very big trees cover the streets while admiring the many amazing houses or by just going to the lake which is a few minutes walk and take the nature path all the way to town, absolutley stunning park and viwes. | |We had a three persons bedroom looking at the garden, the beds wehere comfortable, we had a living room too, the room and toilet were spotless. There are two lovely terraces, highly recommended to use time and sit there to rest and absorb the atmosphere, german spring can be a lovely thing. The garden is beautiful and must not be missed. The breakfast area is really charming and they take great pride in their service and how they present the area to the guest, the selection of food was perfect for us, north europe style so we are used to it.| |Our welcoming receptionist, I think his name was Till was extremley helpful and easy to communicate with. He left a very good imprssion on us with his attentive and friendly manner as we had lots of questions. Check out was smooth and well done.| |For only 10 euros a day we were allowed to park our car inside the property, so we used public transport at times, extremely efficient and affordable to get in and out the city, the buss stop is really close to the hotel. |||Overall money well spent. | ||

Every now and again it is rather nice to go somewhere that doesn't have a polished marble lobby with glass swing doors and fawning porters. This Hotel is a beautiful villa in a rather smart and quiet part of Hamburg with a lovely garden and parking at the back. The feel is of a smart pre-war villa and the decor does not disappoint. Sweeping staircases with oil paintings and quirky accessories complete the picture. Sitting in the lobby I even might have caught a whiff of expensive and delicious cigar smoke-how magificent. The staff are obliging and helpful and look a little more senior that the more characteristic hotel catering diploma students. The room: well appointed, clean, well furnished and a nice but small bathroom. Plenty of choice at breakfast too. I'll search the place out next time I return.

We pulled up to the Mettelweg and we were not disappointed, this charming boutique hotel was located in a beautiful part of Hamburg surrounded by historic homes, close to parks and transport.||||Parking is at the rear of the building and is easily accessible.||||Upon entry to the hotel we were warmly greeted and were excited to find our room was spacious and inviting. Big windows gave us views out to the garden and filled the room with light. Room 22||||The hotel is charming and filled with artwork and collectives. This boutique hotel is an experience in its own right, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there.||||Would recommend this to solo travellers and those who appreciate the nostalgia of bye gone eras.

Fantastic stay in this hotel. It is situated in a quiet part of Hamburg but it is still easy to access the city centre very easily by bus or if like me you can walk it. ||||The hotel has very unusual decor tht just adds to the charm of the place. The rooms are comfortable especially room 42 which gives you an excellent view over the garden.||||All the staff are so friendly and very willing to help you with anything including the booking of taxis and serving your breakfast especially the 'hard boiled egg'!||||In this day and age the wifi is excellent gave good coverage throughout the hotel.||||The garden is very peaceful and a great way to chill out and enjoy a book with a beer or glass of wine.||||No bar but it is not something we missed.

We booked this hotel due the recommendations from this and other websites. We paid euro 330 for two nights incl breakfast and ended up in a tiny tiny little room on the 2nd floor where no elevator available. Checking the hotel’s webpage when home again we discovered that the most expensive rooms were only euro 6,00 more expensive than what we paid in total, being much more spacious, at least as the hotel’s own pictures. We send a request for explanation to the hotel which remains completely unreplied and therefore we have the feeling that whoever books through tripadvisitor/booking.com etc will be placed at cheaper rooms than the paid rate actually require. It is sad that this otherwise okay hotel destroying their own reputation by treating guests like this. We would not book nor recommend this hotel due to this experience.

Yelp
Elegant hotel with aging decorations and facilities. Disappointing breakfast with no cooked eggs. Friendly and helpful reception staff, but elderly server in the breakfast room should learn to smile at guest. Tiny single room, comfortable bed. Quite a busy road, so room at the front quite noise.

Yelp
This is a gorgeous little hotel! When I entered the hallway it felt like I was going back in time; the decoration and furnishings are all georgian in style and very plush! My bedroom was all dark wood and felt very rich, which is what I would have had to be to drink anything out of the mini bar. EUR12 for a glass of wine!! The bed was extremely comfortable and the peacefulness of the place made sure I had a great nights sleep. There is no restaurant for dinner only breakfast which is a real shame as it was a delight to dine in such beautiful surroundings. The massive chandelier in the dining room is wasted at breakfast time! Unfortunatley I have to say that it wasn't really suitable as a 'business' hotel but I would highly recommend it for a romantic break!
