This hotel is in a great central location and we were able to walk to all the local tourist attractions from it, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum etc with a baby in a pram. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and had a reception area that you could sit in any time of the day. Leaving the hotel you have to give your key in, and actually this was helpful as it meant you didn’t run the risk of loosing it when out. I left jewellery etc sitting out in the room and nothing went missing at all. The only thing that reception could make more clear on check in is breakfast times and location (as we were not told). There is a sign at reception with the WIFI code which is helpful. Reception staff whilst pleasant weren’t overly friendly but this could be a culture thing. There are steps down to reception and the breakfast room with no lift access or ramp so this is something to consider as these parts are not disability or pram friendly (unless there is alternative access I am not aware of). ||The bedrooms whilst compact were always clean and tidy and the bed was made everyday by cleaning staff. The bed was actually very comfortable and the bathroom was replenished with towels and toilet roll everyday. Our room had doors that opened and looked out to the Main Street, other rooms to the back of the hotel had mini balconies. ||The continental breakfast was good, the eggs were lovely and there was a good selection of baked goods. The staff were very good with our wee man and always interacted with him at breakfast. The juices were nice, there was always lovely fresh fruit and there were a few cereals to choose from. Some of the offerings were a bit random (like peas and carrots in the hot food section, mushrooms and tomatoes would be better) but overall it didn’t take away from breakfast. The hot water for tea wasn’t hot on occasions and the staff said they couldn’t get hot water from the kitchen but it was fine. The only real disappointment was not being able to get milk heated for our child. One lovely staff member did try in the evening, however a man on reception had an argument with him about it as the milk spilt (whilst I was standing at the kitchen entrance) and it really wasn’t the time or place to do so as it made me feel very awkward as a guest. ||Monchello (hope I’ve spelt your name right) the evening chef/bar man really made our stay. He was the nicest, most welcoming man and got to know us all over the days that we stayed. He always greeted us, always had time to ask how our day was and always interacted with everyone in our party. He truly made our stay in the hotel, and is an asset to the hotel! ||Overall, a lovely stay, I would stay here again, and I think it is a great hotel to stay in for exploring Rome.
