Perfect location for our 2 night stay in Rome. Room was on the small side, but absolutely perfect for 2 people with small suitcases. Very clean and the air conditioning was nice and cool which was an amazing relief during our 39 degree stay! The little balcony was great to relax on in the mornings, but way too hot in the evenings during the summer. If you are looking for a small boutique hotel a short walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps you will not regret staying here! Breakfast was well stocked with lots of choice and the staff were all polite and helpful. We had no issue getting a taxi from the train station (you could easily walk if it isn’t scorching hot) or from the hotel to the airport.

Good location. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection. Would stay here again. Close to Barberini Metro and easy walk to the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps. Easy to organise pick up from airport

Quiet and nice hotel. Rooms are a good size for Roman standards and the AC worked great. Comfy bed with updated bathroom. Perfectly adjacent to the tourist areas (5 min walk to the Spanish steps and 10 to Trevi fountain) while being on a quiet street away from the noise and crowds. 3 minute walk to the metro stop with direct service to the Vatican and other parts of the city (and one transfer to any other line) Would stay again.

Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean. Staff were really helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was buffet style and the staff were constantly refilling everything and making sure everything was clean and tidy. |The receptionist were lovely. They booked trips for us, a taxi to the airport and arranged for the driver to go via things we hadn’t managed to see. Recommend places to eat, gave us a map to find things we needed, including the closest atm. They even lent us an adapter for our phone charger. |The rooms are absolutely, spotlessly clean. We had a room with a balcony. Some reviews say the rooms are small, we found it fine. We didn’t go to Rome to stay in the room! The sheets were crisp white and the housekeepers cleaned daily. There is a fridge in the room containing water, you do have to pay for the water if you use it or there is a small convenience shop almost opposite if you want to stock up with pop etc. |Should we ever visit Rome again, we would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last 18 years.|Although this it is our first visit to Roma in eleven years the hotel did not |disappoint. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable of their city. The room |was small and functional and everything worked. Although we didn’t have a balcony, we had a good view of the Roma skyline. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here, it is also very well positioned for sightseeing. hopefully not too long before we are back.

Thank you team Modigliani! That is the abiding memory, a team doing all they can to make sure your stay is all you want it to be! The hotel is small for sure, but it is in a fantastic location for tourists and has the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in at a hotel. The entire premises is excellently maintained each day, with the rooms being returned to the same condition as when you arrived. There is a lovely little courtyard to get away from it all and the breakfast service is fantastic (don't expect a 'full anything'). All four of us on our trip loved it, nothing in Rome is cheap but this hotel represents good value! I need to be honest and say the normal rooms are not big, but for us that was not a problem, we were not there to stay in our rooms, and as somewhere comfortable to put our heads down they were perfect!

Lovely, small hotel. All staff are so friendly and helpful, even with our minimal Italian it was easy. In a small quiet street. Room is a good size, renovated and comfy , clean bed the bathroom is renovated and really clean with bidet. Rooms cleaned and bed made daily. Breakfast is substantial, coffee machine, tea avail. Egg station cooked fresh on request with ham/ Tom’s/cheese and toasting machine for bread. There is a central table with fresh fruit/cereals, cornflakes, Rice Bubbles, granola. Cakes avail inc croissant/donuts and pastries and all condiments , Nutella/jams. You self serve as much as you wish, served 730-10. When you arrive you are greeted by friendly staff and there is a notice board with all the info you need on it. The reception is manned 24/7. There is a beautiful courtyard to sit in. Lounge to relax as well with comfy couches. Mini supermarket down the street with essentials and a super friendly man who serves you. This hotel is so close to Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. There is a main square called Barbarini where you can catch hop on/ off bus to do your for the day $25 each to get bearings. There is heaps of shops nearby and you can walk everywhere. Would highly recommend this hotel and would 100% come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in April,2025. The staff was super courteous to a couple of old American tourists. And....the complimentary breakfast was delicious. If you are looking for a hotel in the best location, with the best staff, try Hotel Modigliani.

Yelp
Very Nice Boutique Hotel, on a quiet street. Three minutes down hill to The Piazza Barberini with Taxi stand and Metro station. It's close to Spanish Steps/Trevi Fountain (15-20 minutes), but folks with mobility issues, be careful, some is uphill, but doable. Staff is efficient and friendly, breakfast is great, my room was comfortable, large bathroom, good elevator. Sunday Mass in Englisg (10AM) at Saint Isidore's College Chapel, 5 minutes walk from hotel Enjoyed our stay!

Yelp
They told me that they did not have a room available so I booked elsewhere. They charged my credit card for a no-show. It was clearly their mistake and they refused to refund me. There are so many ethical businesses/hotels in Rome. I recommend going elsewhere.

Yelp
Modigliani was a nice hotel to meet our needs while in Rome. It isn't a huge fancy hotel BUT our rooms were comfortable, staff was always friendly, great location, and breakfast downstairs daily was a nice bonus. Location: 5 stars. Close to the Spanish steps and other tourists attractions. It is also down a small street so it was quiet and peaceful. The perfect balance of intimate and secluded but close enough to walk towards the main hubs/areas. Rooms: cozy and on the small side. These rooms are not grand but they did the job. Everything was clean and organized in the room. Free WiFi, hot water, and cool air should you need it (we needed it). Service: 5 stars. Everyone was beyond friendly and helpful. They maintain this hotel very well. Felt safe and knew we were in good hands throughout our stay. Breakfast: just wanted to add/speak to the little bonus of free breakfast downstairs which was a highlight every morning. Self service small buffet set up. Surprised at the spread of cold meats, cereal, fruit, and delicious fresh juices. They also make you eggs on request. Nice little perk and a money saver every morning.

Yelp
We were supposed to visit in April 2020 but due to the pandemic we could not enter Italy. This hotel refused to refund our money and instead gave us a voucher however, 2 yrs later much changes and we are no longer able to visit but the hotel still refuses to refund our 386 euros even though no services were used. This is unacceptable and very frustrating. Don't use this hotel for your travels as they have poor business practices. Teresa Walkovich

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here on a trip to Rome and we were very happy with our stay. It was very close walk to all major things in Rome, as well as tons of places to eat near by. The rooms were clean, although quite small which is normal for Rome. The price was great, especially for being so close to the Spanish Steps, and it was easy to get in and out of because it was on a side street which allowed for the rooms to be quite. They had a small little restaurant that had a couple games in and the served a wide variety of drinks. If we went to Rome again, we would definitely come back.

Yelp
This is a wonderful, small, clean, well priced, great location yet quiet; updated and remodeled including double pane windows, our room has a balcony and bath ( they all may?). A block and a half from a central metro stop, 5-10 minute walks to trevi fountain and Spanish steps, great restaurants in and all around hotel!

Yelp
generally a good experience (4 nights October 2014) - clean, great location, price ok, small room as expected - only two suggestions or complaints - we had their breakfast 4 mornings in a row and it was the same with only variation - a little more change would have been welcome along with better scrambled eggs - but the real complaint was the WIFI -- as we use Apple iphones, it wasn't a snap to connect based on their system, but the real problem was that every time you left, you had to go through all the user/password sign up to get back on - don't understand why they have such a complex and antiquated way - not at all simple and for us a pain in the a$#. Otherwise a great stay
