Hotel Mondschein

The location was excellent and so lovely to walk across the bridge from the old town looking at the fairy lights adorning our hotel. All of the staff, but particularly all of the reception staff, were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The reception team gave us loads of tips and information on how to best spend our time exploring Innsbruck. Our room was really comfortable, and it was lovely having a bath to soak in after a day in the snow. Really comfortable bed, linen and pillows which is important to us. It would be even better if a small fridge was in the room, but it didn't cause us any real issue not having one. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. One brief piece of feedback - and not only at your hotel but everywhere! We wish the floor staff would ask other customers with kids to put earphones on the kids when they're using their ipads / iphones. Having to listen to kids cartoons / games while trying to have a peaceful breakfast is super annoying! (we think the parents should be more responsible and aware, but when they are not, we wish staff would intervene to ensure we can all enjoy our breakfast!)

I stayed here for three nights in November 2025 while on vacation. The location is top notch, right on the river, close to the old town, and the view from my room was fantastic. My room was well-appointed and clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel with our family and we couldn’t be more delighted. The location is absolutely wonderful – right by the river, at the foot of the mountains, offering stunning views at any time of the day. The rooms and the entire property are spotlessly clean and very well maintained, which made our stay extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were truly excellent – delicious, varied, and fresh. On top of that, coffee and tea were always available at the bar throughout the day, included in the stay, which was a fantastic convenience. The hotel staff are incredibly kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist. A special thank you goes to the lovely lady from Italy working at the bar – her warmth and friendliness made us feel truly welcome. This is a place we can wholeheartedly recommend – perfect for families, but also for anyone looking to relax in a beautiful setting and enjoy a wonderful atmosphere.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Excellent staff, a clean and comfortable room, and a great bed. No doubt, this is a hotel I would happily return to.

I stayed at Hotel Mondschein for four nights in October 2025 — my second time at this hotel. They recently renovated some of the rooms, including the single room I stayed in on the fifth floor. I really love the new modern look! The service and breakfast were just as excellent as always. I’ll definitely choose Hotel Mondschein again whenever I visit Innsbruck.

Great authentic hotel. Made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast is purpose built and well laid out. The cellar bar and the service there is great. I would stay here again.

Well renovated family room. Comfy beds. Great location, just a few minutes walk to old town and the cable car to the top of Innsbruck.

What a gem! I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mondschein. It is very conveniently located just across the bridge from the old city - 5 minute walk (if you walk slow) from the Golden Roof. The rooms are just beautiful! I booked a single room (since it was just me). It was rather spacious, excellent lighting, modern bathroom. I could not have been more pleased. AND the staff was GREAT! A lovely breakfast... I can't say enough good things. Even the booking process was great! I highly recommend!

I think that I found this hotel on Booking. It received decent reviews and was a fair price. I give it a 5 1/2 stars! It is located directly over the bridge to the new town. Our 4th floor had two big windows-that open for better pics and to absorb the sights and sound of the moderately busy street and the rushing river. Check in was great with good tips and maps provided. The room was a great combination of new and old - all maintained perfectly. And the breakfast buffet was excellent- pretty, tasty and the hotel folks running the place were very friendly and helpful. All in all - I would highly recommended Hotel Mondschein!

It's hard to imagine this hotel as a Best Western. It's located in a historical row of the oldest houses in Innsbruck and you have a beautiful view of the river, the town of Innsbruck and the mountains. You can open the windows and listen to the rushing river as you sleep. The bed is comfortable and the room is a typical European size. The bathroom is very modern and has a beautiful sparkly granite top. The shower and sink are separate from the toilet. The breakfast is included and there is a good selection of meats, cheeses, cereal and my staple-Nutella. This hotel definitely impresses!

Clean and comfortable and close to old town. Enjoyed my view facing the river. Beds were firm. Bathroom is spacious. Front desk was helpful. Its about a 5 min taxi ride from the train station

Fantastic hotel! We had a hard time finding a hotel that was open at 23:00, most where closed, this one, fortunately, had a friendly receptionist who could speak both German and English who immediately accommodated us with a fantastic room overlooking the isar river. The rooms are very clean and had both a sitting area and combo shower tub, which we enjoyed. It was also about a 4 minute walk from the Goldener Dachl and a great spot for the Innsbruck nightlife.
