The Best Ski and Spa Resorts for Après Relaxation | Condé Nast Traveler

"One of Europe’s most storied ski towns—and for good reason as it is home to Western Europe’s highest peak—Chamonix’s steep terrain is world-class and not for newbies. On the other hand, if navigating the mountain’s challenging slopes proves too much for jet-lagged travelers, at least respite can be found at Hotel Mont Blanc’s Spa by Clarins. Start your spa day in the outdoor hot tub or sauna, and from there ease into a Clarins facial which starts with a 25-minute massage. A personalized skin analysis and diagnosis means this is no one-size-fits-all treatment, though the common denominator is the use of pure plant extracts and high quality aromatic essential oils. We like the Power Hydrator best during ski season when dry cheeks are crying out for comfort."

Hôtel Mont-Blanc Chamonix (Chamonix, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"With a name as definitive as the Hôtel Mont-Blanc Chamonix, it’s clear this is no upstart — after a hundred years in business, though, the Mont-Blanc has been thoroughly redesigned by the interior architect Sybille de Margerie. The result is equal parts Alpine charm, Belle Époque elegance, and contemporary cool, and the comforts have kept pace with expectations in this most luxurious of ski towns — they details like Bose sound systems and Nespresso machines. Skiing, obviously, is central to the hotel’s appeal, as is the Spa Clarins, and the Restaurant Le Matafan and Le Bar Lounge are the icing on the cake." - Tablet Hotels

The hotel is very nice and room was specious, clean and wonderful. We arrived around 5 AM and Cedric was in the reception. He made our check-in easy and smooth, all the team in the front desk and room services were friendly and supportive. Thank you for making our stay great. We will definitely stay again in the future.

I stayed here with my wife in May 2025 and had a wonderful time. The hotel is lovely and cosy. The room was fantastic with the most amazing bathroom and shower. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we were very much looked after. They even gave me a prime parking spot right outside the front steps. The room has a view directly towards Mont Blanc and the same view from in the outdoor pool was an amazing experience. We will be back!

From initial booking, great communication. The hotel organised transport from Geneva Airport to the hotel. We knew in advance there was no air conditioning but a great fan was in our room, which worked well. Nice Clarins toiletries in the room. We ate breakfast in the hotel which had a really good selection - everything you could want. The hotel recommended hikes for us, and took us to the start (& collected us from the end point). Every member of staff was helpful and was really a credit to the hotel from front desk, concierge, housekeeper and breakfast staff. We used the spa which is beautiful - however the ‘relaxation room’ was being used by a group of young children who were having a lot of fun on the swing chairs totally unsupervised and literally running riot in there. Not the hotel’s fault, and not a problem as we didn’t wish to use that room but if that is important to you then likely avoid school holidays (couldn’t see their parents anywhere in the spa and it looked like the kids had just been left in there). The restaurant was very busy at lunch so suggest a reservation in advance. Faultless for our needs, and plan to return. Great location!

I am writing directly from the hotel. We booked 3 nights (2 + 1 night booked separately) in a prestige room (not a standard one) hoping to have a magical stay for my wife's birthday.||Our room is in the back of the hotel with views of a super busy street with trucks and buses. Not to mention the noise of the machines (A/C I guess). Impossible to sleep last night which is ruining our nice long weekend for a birthday.||While the staff is nice (they agreed to cancel and refund our last night after we realized the room would be even worse), I am really saddened to see that they are not organized and that nothing can be done. They are fully booked but the hotel appears empty and most rooms were off past night. That said, they tried to sell us the suite as a solution, or chocolates and flowers for my wife's birthday. Cheesy and at a price that made me laugh.||This hotel is ruining my wife's birthday weekend. At the price we paid for a prestige room, we expected something better than a view of a parking lot, and a super busy road (main street of Chamonix with buses and trucks - heavy traffic!). We live in Paris, so this hotel could have become our long weekend getaway but no thank you. Our apartment in Paris is less noisy when we open our windows, which we do every day. ||And the fact that there is no solution is an example of poor 5* hotel management. I wish we could check out early but since everything is prepaid and nonrefundable. ||The only positive is the spa and the outdoor pool. But I am worried I will drown since I barely slept last night. Do not stay here!

Location is fantastic, breakfast is superb, but staff is what sets this hotel apart though. Everyone is very attentive and helpful. Food at hotel restaurant is also top notch. Pool area is super nice for kids. We will definitely be back.

Charles at the restaurant is a JOY! He completely made our wine in the garden and time in the restaurant. Protect him at all costs he is a gem :) Please also big shout out and note to Ryan who led us to safe parking despite the road closures with the race this weekend. Ryan went above and beyond to get us in safe and sound. Biggest thanks to Ryan as well :) Amazing job selecting the most hospitable team in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

Beautiful hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Only let down was the small room with a portable fan for "air conditioning" not sufficient for this level of hotel and price. Pool was beautiful.

As a hotelier myself I was totally amazed by the staff. The cleanliness the facilities the ambiance from arrival to departure it was like entering another world. A true escape. While not cheap you can’t buy class and this was one of the classiest places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.
