Hotel Montañamar

We stayed 3 nights in this very pleasant hotel and I cannot thank the staff enough for all they did to make our stay a very enjoyable one. They even named us Mr & Mrs 111 which was the room we stayed in. The room had everything we needed. nice comfortable beds, lovely new towels and a great hot powerful shower. The hotel is spotlessly clean The pool area is lovely and spacious with plenty of room and sunbeds, again very clean and tidy and a nice atmosphere. We had pizza on our first night as we were quite late arriving and it was excellent . We did not have breakfast but enjoyed the snacks and drinks in the bar area. Would love to come back at a later date. Thank you to all the staff especially helping with the transfer to get us back to Girona Airport in time for our flight.

This is so funny, just decided to look this up stayed here 55 years ago, didn’t think it would still be here🤣🤣🤣. There were no roads whatsoever. Hotel had no balconies , very very basic then. The food was dreadful, didn’t eat anything just had Ritz crackers in the room. Really funny as girls at the dining tables with rollers in🤣 In our room, one afternoon, eating our Ritz, crackers and grapes receptionist advised/ complained that we were making too much noise! It’s made my day, finding this I even managed to find the route on Google Maps down to the beach. All I can remember is the sound of crickets as you walked down a dusty road, in the pitch black, hardly any hotels, then at all🤣🤣 Went on a Cosmos package holiday with my friend. We were about 16 and 18 went for one of the cheaper hotels, and that was what we got ! You certainly get what you pay for. Went on a turbo prop plane from Stansted airport which was a hut ,to France, and then by coach to this hotel, terrible journey it took hours! Seven hours delay on the way back and we came back to terrible floods, we were shocked as we had no idea it had happened as we saw no newspapers. Consequently the weather was really bad there also. Looks as if it’s improved over the years, but to be honest I'm shocked it is still there 🤔

The service from the staff was excellent. They were helpful and friendly. The room was a bit small but clean and good decoration. The hotel was 2 min walk to the beach and shops from the swimming pool. Food was ok but limited choice and would advise to eat outside on some days even if all inclusive.

A pleasant few nights once me and the other half where settled in. Floors where cracked and there was a problem with ants but other than that it was great. Nice view on the side we was on, rooms cleaned daily. Great budget Hotel. Not much to do though if you like to stay in the Hotel. No entertainment on site which might bother some. I also ordered a double bed room but was told they didn't have any available so had to sleep in a separate bed to the misses all of the holiday which had its ups and downs.

Just got back from a 4 night break away and stayed at this hotel. Myself and my friend were abit dubious after reading some of the reviews, but honestly we were pleasantly surprised. The reception area was spotless and have friendly, helpful staff 24hrs aday. Were were on the 3rd floor, the room was very basic but clean. The hotel is around a 10 min walk to the beach/shops/bars, couple of mins walk to supermarket. The hotel as a pool area with plenty of sunbeds, a bar area thats open from around 8am to 11pm ish, serving hot/cold drinks and snacks. They also have a buffet restaurant, we paid for breakfast one morning and it was only 5euros with plenty of options to choose from. A lovely little break, and I would stay here again. You get what you pay for in my opinion.

Basic, cheerful, clean but in need of some TLC. The hotel is on the outskirts of Lloret, at the top of the hill. Only a 5-10 min walk to the beach and a selection of shops and restaurants but the real life is prob 20-25 mins away. |Rooms very small but clean. Basic. No kettle or anything.|Breakfast was good. Plenty of selection and lots of it.|Pool area was the biggest disappointment. Very tired and in desperate need of a face lift. It’s kept clean, and a plus was the fact it was very quiet - but definitely not the type of place you want to spend more than an hour or two. |Bar area in the hotel was nice enough. Had pizza when we were waiting to leave, we were impressed.|Wouldn’t stay here again as it’s a little bit too far out and could really do with some updating - the hotel and pool area.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for a week at the start of September. The receptionist greeted us, she was very friendly and helpful with all that we needed and, despite my low level of Catalan, she spoke good English too.||||The room was clean, airy with a small balcony. There was a secure garage we could use (for a small extra cost) and the swimming pool was clean, deep with lots of sunbeds to relax on also.||||Lloret de Mar is a town full of loud, young (mostly British) tourists, but the hotel is a ten mins walk away from the main town, so it's usually quieter, which I appreciated also.||||All in all, a great, budget hotel, with friendly staff.

Good 3 start hotel a bit old but everything is covered by good service . There were some problems but the stuff was great and fixed everything! Food is fine for 3 stars, there is a free pool. The beach is 10 minute walk from the hotel. There also is a supermarket near by ~5 min walk. You can also play pool. Gracias!
