Hotel Monte Cristo

We stayed for a week in August 2024 and were very happy with this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good. The old building has a real charm to it and the rooms were very comfortable. It is true that there is noise from the bars close by, especially during our stay as there was some kind of festival. It wasn't their fault but the hotel staff were apologetic. They assured us that the noise would stop at closing time and it did. In any case, if you want guaranteed peace and quiet then Kotor old town is probably not the place for you. We originally booked for five nights but after check-in asked to extend our stay by one night. We had to change rooms for the last night but that was no problem. On the morning we were due to change, I had developed food poisoning and the staff were extremely helpful. They gave us late check-out from our original room and early check-in for the next one, as well as moving our luggage for us and directing us to a pharmacy. Upon departure, we had very early flights from two different airports and they arranged drivers for both at reasonable prices. All in all, very happy with this hotel.

In the heart of the old town of Kotor, Hotel Monte Cristo presents a very nice place to stay at. I stayed at the hotel for one night as I participated at the Boka Half marathon and had a very positive experience. The personnel was endlessly kind, polite and courteous as I was given a lunchbox given that I could not make it to the hotel’s breakfast as I participated at the half marathon which started at 9 am. The hotel as well was very clean and had a great atmosphere. The restaurant had also a large set of different meals, and offered rebates for the hotel’s guests. All in all a very pleasant experience and I am sure that it will not be my first and last time staying at Monte Cristo Hotel. Thus, and based on my experience, I can warmly recommend it and I am sure that other guests would certainly appreciate it, too.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of the old town, exceptional room (8)on the second floor, beautifully furnished, very clean, large comfortable bed, old style elegance with all modern conveniences. Local music went on rather late but we stayed on a Friday night so this was not unusual for a weekend. The restaurant served a fabulous breakfast with friendly attentive staff. The hotel has its own secure parking just outside the city wall a short walk away. They have a buggy to take you there when you check out, we very much appreciated Luka taking us. We look forward to staying here again when we come back to Kotor, so much to see to fit into such a short visit so we have to come back!

Went to the restaurant here for a late dinner in November during the week. We walked in off the street and had very attentive service, and had lovely food (including pasta and bread) which was very good value. The decor was cosy. Would absolutely return!

Charming hotel in the middle of the old town. I love staying in these old buildings. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and kind, and breakfast in the cute courtyard was a refreshing start to the day. If you have a car, their parking lot is extremely convenient too! The only downside is the jazz cafe right next to the hotel which runs past midnight, so can be stressful.

We are from Canada. We like pancakes. They have American pancakes on the menu. We thought close enough we tried said pancakes and they were fluffy, but the joy ended there. It wasn’t too bad, but didn’t quite meet our expectations. I will be back for the American pancakes.

Amazing experience at this hotel. Charming and comfortable, perfect location right in the center, delicious buffet breakfast, and welcoming staff. Jiovanna was a friendly and welcoming host, always making us feel at home. Great hospitality! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kotor!!!

Awesome hotel, very authentic and cozy in the heart of the beautiful vibrant city. Food at the hotel is delicious from lunch dinner to breakfast. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Melanie the waitress, was very addressing to the clients requests in a highly professional manner. She has an innate hospitality spirit. She is very skilled with heart warming character. Melanie is a role model that we hope to see everywhere in the hospitality field. We felt like we were home. Our best wishes for this lovely hotel along with its great staff to keep up and stay remarkable and memorable for everyone who got to interact with them 🤍🙏🏼
