Hotel Montemar

What a wonderful hotel. We just spent a week here and have no complaints at all. We were amazed at how clean everything was, even public areas including toilets. Speedy checking in and in our room within 10 minutes. Sea view room was adequate with stunning view of the sea but not very big, nowhere to sit inside unless on the bed. There are no tea making facilities and no fridge. The shower is incredible, the water pressure is so strong its like having a massage each time you took a shower. All Immaculately clean I must say. Rooms are serviced daily with fresh linen and towels if you require. The roof top terrace bar is a calm area to sit and have a nice relaxing drink before heading off (5 minutes walk) to the hustle and bustle of the old town, special mention to Deni the barman, serving our drinks everytime with a brilliant smile. We opted for half board but only really used breakfast facility. Food was ok, nothing out of this world, it's breakfast, but on par with other holidays we have had recently. Overall definitely 3 star + in our eyes, Thank you all at The Montemar for our wonderful stay at your beautiful hotel.

Great little hotel that’s beach front with amazing views. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are amazing especially on the front desk very helpful. We stayed in a standard room with a sea view, plenty of space and cleaned every day. We were half board and food was great what was good you could choose between lunch or dinner which ever suited. Ideally located for the beach and old town and only 30 minute walk up to the new town. Best part of the hotel was the roof top bar, amazing!!

What can I say about this 3 star hotel. It deserves to be a 4. The location is beach front right opposite steps to poniente beach. Opposite is a children's play area and a bus stop. Right near all the bars restaurants and shops of the old town. The harbour is in sight and a short stroll away with plenty boat tours and water sports. The rooms are basic no brew making facilities and no fridge which would be great if only to store water. We had a sea view which was amazing waking up looking out over the beach and harbour. Some early morning niose from delivery vans and buses The shower and hair dryer was great so powerful. Maid service every day with fresh towels. The roof top terrace is a great facility its open all day for sunbathing although only 3 comfortable deck chairs the other chairs just normal hard chairs.the bar here opens at 4:30 with a wide range of beers and cocktails. All staff very friendly. Breakfast is served between 8 and 10:30 with a wide range to suit all . The lounge was a nice size but very load and very busy. All in all a great hotel and we will definitely stay here again. .

On arrival had issue with room which was dealt with quickly and new room offered.||Worth getting a sea view room. Room cleaned every day with clean towels etc daily. Fab location good nights sleep.||All staff really friendly.||We were full board Food is nice plenty of choice. Drinks reasonable price ||Air con in room is great.||Roof top bar is amazing opened 5 till 9 during our stay but open for you to enjoy during the day with own drinks.||Great 3 star stay we will definitely be back.

Hotel is nice no doubt about it. Staff are great and very engaging, unless you're English then you feel constantly blanked. Danny on the rooftop bar, and the room cleaner are lovely and pleasant. The rest barely look up as you pass. Food is really poor I hate to say. I'm no gourmet, but food should be seasoned and not taste like cooking oil. Meringue should be stiff peaks, not white froth. The place was packed with aging Spanish and Germans who look at you as if the cat dragged you in. Never met such incredibly rude people. We tried to save a few quid this time as I've just become a pensioner but big, big mistake. Do yourself a favour, book the H10 Porto Poniente instead. It's about 60 yards away, and a whole world better. Below is the said, meringue pie....

JUST A FEW WORDS OF PRAISE FOR THE MONTEMAR DURING OUR TRIP.|The high standards we have come to expect from this hotel remain just that, HIGH.|Smiling professional staff are always on hand to assist. Roberto and Kanna on Reception greet you like family returning home and Dani and Pili, both longstanding staff members do the same to make you feel welcome.|The food is of a consistently high standard also with the dessert section deserving of an art award it looks so nice.|Negative points?|Abolutely none.

This was a lovely hotel, with great location, we didn’t have a sea view room, but our room was lovely, with comfy beds and very clean. downside was no fridge-but the room was very cool so didn’t really matter. Good breakfast with varied selection. Staff were really nice and helpful. No pool but the beach is directly opposite. Roof top bar was good value with brilliant views. Would definitely stay again

Me and my partner spent 10 nights in the Montemar hotel Benidorm, staff here are absolutely fantastic nothing is too much trouble and they are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is situated in the old town and it has excellent views of the beach from the roof terrace. The hotel is extremely clean and everything about it made our holiday perfect. Will be rebooking in the future.
