Hotel Montemar

We chose the Montemar because of its good location and were not disappointed. The hotel was great. ||The check in staff were efficient and friendly. ||The room was quite spacious and the sea view gorgeous. Shower a bit cosy but super powerful. The room was very clean. ||There was a good choice of food for breakfast but it was a little enclosed for me. ||The roof terrace bar was a lovely way to have a drink early evening and the bar staff were again very good. ||Thank you to all at the hotel for making it a lovely stay. We’d certainly consider coming back again. RECOMMENDED

The beds were so soft it was like sleeping on a cloud. The room was so lovely & clean & the beds were made to a high standard not a crease on them. The staff were very friendly & always spoke. The house keepers always said good morning & had had a smile. The location of the hotel was spot on, rooms overlooking the promenade & sea was amazing. The bar area is quite small for the size of hotel but nice enough. We were half board & the food was lovely,meat, fish, past & loads of fresh veg. Was an amazing stay & have looked to go back in November.

First visit to Hotel Montemar and in July. It was a 5 day holiday in the heatwave of 2025 over there. Montemar is a fabulous location with a 30 sec walk over the road to the beach. No pool, but a rooftop terrace open from 5pm - 12am. The rooms are basic and cleaned daily, but not necessarily the bed sheets. No bath but a great enclosed power shower. We found the hotel was used by many older Spaniards so it was good for getting a good nights sleep. A/C was working well in the room. Small walk-on balcony suited our needs. Mainly for drying towels and t- shirts. Safe available. Meals were breakfast, lunch and evening dinner. A choice of lunch or dinner is available if you are having half board. The food was basic and you will never starve if you have paid for it, but we found ourselves eating out in the evening as there is so much choice in Benidorm. Refuel bar or Gusto bar has fabulous cocktails and food. This hotel suited our needs adequately. Perfect location for a walk into the old town and the new town as it was bang in the middle. Cheap cheerful in a great location. We will be returning for definite.

Just stayed at hotel Montemar for a week booked a room with sea view. Upon arrival we were given an upgrade on our room to vip which had a bigger balcony with loungers a fridge and coffee machine. The staff are brilliant right through from reception particularly karina to bar staff kitchen staff and the cleaners are brilliant. Room cleaned every day and towels changed. The breakfast was also very good would definitely recommend

Lovely Hotel, perfect location with amazing views. We got upgraded for no reason at all which went down a treat. I'm not really a fan of Hotel breakfasts but they had plenty of options which was nice. Drinks are very reasonably priced and you get the pleasure of a great roof top terrace to drink them. The location is brilliant, 30 metres to a quiet, lovely beach with a few bars surrounding. Five minutes walk to tapas alley with 100's of restaurants to choose from. This place gets a 10 from me.

Visited prior to family travelling to Benidorm to stay there. The location is excellent, near the old town, and although the hotel is small, it seemed clean and tidy. The small outside terrace is nice, with a sea view and there are plenty of other bars and hotels along the same street in which to sit, eat, drink and relax whilst overlooking the sea.

Visited as a couple in early April. Lovely hotel with wonderful view over the beach and harbour. Welcoming and friendly staff. Went half board and food was good and plentiful. Lovely rooftop terrace with bar. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Excellent hotel in an ideal position for the Old Town…… very clean with the rooms done daily with fresh towels supplied….. we were only bed and breakfast so can’t comment on the lunch or evening meals but the breakfast was spot on with lots of choice. Hotel very Spanish orientated but …. It’s a Spanish hotel…….. couldn’t fault it and highly recommend….we will be back
