Hôtel Montholon, a Design Boutique Hotel Paris, France

"The Hôtel Montholon Paris is a charming 18 bedroom boutique hotel in the heart of Paris. It allows for easy access to the main attractions of the French capital. The roomy and pleasant bedrooms are decorated simply and elegantly, with natural materials giving a casual and trendy feel to them. The Hotel Montholon Paris is set opposite a public park, the Square Montholon, in a business and entertainment quarter very near the Grands Magasins department stores, the Opera Garnier and Montmartre, not to mention the Gare du Nord and Gare de L’Est train stations. Reception is open 24 hours a day, every day. It is the ideal starting point for any visit to Paris!" - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Despite the hotel’s problematic location — directly above a busy metro station and with guests who enjoy playing and making noise late into the night — I feel it’s important to highlight the exceptional service. Mr. Nourďine deserves special recognition: warm, caring, and truly dedicated service. Without him, this hotel would struggle to earn more than one star. It is largely thanks to him that it deserves far more. Thanks as well to Hamza for his kindness and professionalism. In the end, it’s the people who make a place — and in this case, they made all the difference.

The staff was really friendly, offered me a coffee when I said that I had to rush and did have time for breakfast. The room was very clean as well. They were also very responsive to all my mails.

This hotel is a scam. It‘s NOT like on the pictures. The places feels run down and almost abandoned. We arrived on Thursday night and left the next morning to another hotel. Everything is broken and dirty. The window was broken, the room was super cold, the bathroom was extremely dirty (stains, mold, hair etc), furniture was damaged or broken, floors were damaged, hair and stains on all kind of surfaces. I‘m currently waiting for a refund from the 3rd party booking website, I‘m ready to sue everybody involves in this scam.

The hotel had a convenient location and served as an excellent home base for a family trip to Paris. The breakfast buffet offered fresh food and good, strong coffee that set us on our way. It was clean and we were reasonably comfortable for our stay.||The family room was a tight fit for a family of 4 as there is nowhere to unpack or put away clothes. We mentioned a leak in the bathroom sink to housekeeping, but they left our improvised solution of taking the bin out of the bathroom garbage can and using the bag in place 🤷🏻‍♀️ Good enough, I guess.||We were there the week leading up to the 2024 Olympics so that might have increased the price, but otherwise we might have felt it was very expensive for what we got. All in all, we were happy enough with our stay and found the location convenient enough to make up for any shortcomings.

This was fine for a one-night stay but I wouldn't want to stay here longer. This was the final night of our stay before our flight home. The hotel is centrally located and very reasonable. Our room was clean. But it was very small and the furnishings were nothing to write home about. As there were three of us (a couple and a their teenage kid), the room had a queen bed and a single. The elevator was the tiniest I've ever seen—my son initially brought all three suitcases upstairs on his own. ||Positives: I found the bed to be very comfortable. The employee at the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is located across from Montholon Square, which is quite pretty, and there are a number of restaurants in the area—we tried a Vietnamese place that we enjoyed. And it's a short walk to Gare de Nord. ||While the room did not have air conditioning, there was a large fan. We found that by opening up the windows just a little and turning on the fan, the room was airy and cool AND the fan nicely drowned out the street noise, which otherwise would have been an issue. ||We had to leave early in the morning, so didn't try the breakfast.

Rooms don't look like on the photos and bit old. Ceiling is quite low, cca 2.2 meters.

Yelp
Awful. Save your money and go anywhere else. No wifi, no A/C, dirty, tiny rooms. Shower had missing and loose tiles all over the floor.
