Hôtel Montholon, a Design Boutique Hotel Paris, France

"The Hôtel Montholon Paris is a charming 18 bedroom boutique hotel in the heart of Paris. It allows for easy access to the main attractions of the French capital. The roomy and pleasant bedrooms are decorated simply and elegantly, with natural materials giving a casual and trendy feel to them. The Hotel Montholon Paris is set opposite a public park, the Square Montholon, in a business and entertainment quarter very near the Grands Magasins department stores, the Opera Garnier and Montmartre, not to mention the Gare du Nord and Gare de L’Est train stations. Reception is open 24 hours a day, every day. It is the ideal starting point for any visit to Paris!" - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Wonderful experience at Hôtel Le Montholon! The service was excellent and the team made us feel very welcome from the start. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and ideally located. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and charming stay!

This was fine for a one-night stay but I wouldn't want to stay here longer. This was the final night of our stay before our flight home. The hotel is centrally located and very reasonable. Our room was clean. But it was very small and the furnishings were nothing to write home about. As there were three of us (a couple and a their teenage kid), the room had a queen bed and a single. The elevator was the tiniest I've ever seen—my son initially brought all three suitcases upstairs on his own. ||Positives: I found the bed to be very comfortable. The employee at the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is located across from Montholon Square, which is quite pretty, and there are a number of restaurants in the area—we tried a Vietnamese place that we enjoyed. And it's a short walk to Gare de Nord. ||While the room did not have air conditioning, there was a large fan. We found that by opening up the windows just a little and turning on the fan, the room was airy and cool AND the fan nicely drowned out the street noise, which otherwise would have been an issue. ||We had to leave early in the morning, so didn't try the breakfast.

The hotel had a convenient location and served as an excellent home base for a family trip to Paris. The breakfast buffet offered fresh food and good, strong coffee that set us on our way. It was clean and we were reasonably comfortable for our stay.||The family room was a tight fit for a family of 4 as there is nowhere to unpack or put away clothes. We mentioned a leak in the bathroom sink to housekeeping, but they left our improvised solution of taking the bin out of the bathroom garbage can and using the bag in place 🤷🏻‍♀️ Good enough, I guess.||We were there the week leading up to the 2024 Olympics so that might have increased the price, but otherwise we might have felt it was very expensive for what we got. All in all, we were happy enough with our stay and found the location convenient enough to make up for any shortcomings.

Friendly reception, small but comfortable rooms. Low ceiling. Shower is OK but needs a deep clean here & there. Overall good worth for money.

Perfect spot to be in, with the metro just a short walk away.||Boutique hotel so don’t expect anything big - but there was great customer service from the receptionists. There are a fair few restaurants and boulangeries nearby/within a short walk.||Lift is very small and not suitable for wheelchair users. I got in there with two suitcases but my partner had to walk up the stairs.

This unassuming little hotel is in a very convenient patch of the 9th across from the pleasant historic greenery of Square Montholon. Service was friendly and room clean with good hardwood floors.

I rated Hotel Montholon 5 star is due to their super helpful reception staff and all of them were just fantastic! At first, I did not book this hotel; however, I was using their space to store luggage through a third party app. When I first walked in, they were super nice to my friend and I (sorry to say, being Chinese sometimes get pretty unfriendly treatment in Europe). They let us settle ourselves for as long as we needed as we've landed Paris at 8am. Because of their hospitality, we were able to get some water, go use the bathroom and sit down to take a breather after 13.5 hours flight.||||What made us decide to switch from the originally booked hotel (around 10 mins walk away) to Hotel Montholon. /456567876654321`olon was their hospitality. The other hotel was fine but my friend and I had a gut feeling that we should just forego the booked hotel (and paid our fines) and stay at Hotel Montholon. ||||Yes, it's not an internationally branded hotel but the room was really cute and all the necessities were there (kettle, teas + coffees, towels, hair dryer). We were really lucky we got to book a room the same day (or once we were at the other hotel) and the rates were super terrific! ||||I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who's looking to spend around US$150-180 a night in a decent area! And remember, we're from Hong Kong which is one of the safest cities in the world; if I feel this area is pretty alright, it means a lot!
