Love this hotel! Will definitely plan to book again. Superb location just within the wall. Right on the Camino and beautifully decorated. Such personal service like going back in time. Comfortable. Clean. Great bath and huge room, bed and bathroom. Our room had a great view of the wall. One of my favourite hotels I have stayed in.

An unforgettable and unique experience to stay in this charming hotel with so much history and elegance. The owners have put their hearts into every corner of their beautiful palace and I cannot recommend staying here more. Maria is a brilliant hostess and breakfast is unlike anywhere else. I hope to always return ❤️

We had two stays here in July, both for a number of days and all I can say is that we really loved it. It is situated within and close to the Roman wall. It is within easy walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants and some of the key tourist attractions e.g the cathedral and the Museo a Domus do Mitreo, both of which are well worth visiting. The hotel is also close to steps leading upto the top of the wall so, if you are up for it, you can enjoy the 3km walk around it.|We had what we felt must be, the best room in the hotel with 2 balconies overlooking the wall, the modern city beyond and the countryside. The room basically had everything we needed apart from perhaps a second chair and a perhaps a box of tissues. The bed was comfortable and they kindly provided a kettle so we tea mad English could have a cup when ever we wanted one.|As said it is a bit quirky with artifacts absolutely everywhere and some of them we felt would be worth quite a bit. There are even full sixed 'mannequins' in the outdoor seating area which is a great place to sit and have a drink and people watch! Breakfast is available every morning and dinner is from Wednesday to Sunday evenings. The breakfast is fine but there could be a little more variation while the evening dining experience which we did a few times was excellent. |What was amazing was the staff. We could not praise them enough. Everyone did everything to make sure our stay was enjoyed. So, BIG THANKS to Maria and Manuel, their 'grown up' children, Maria, Manuel and Nikolas and not forgetting the cook Alejandro.|We are likely to be in Lugo again sometime next year and there is only one place we will stay - HERE!

We had a superior room which had amazing views of the wall and sunset. Large comfy bed, airy room, good bathroom. Safe parking although prebook this as spaces limited, the place is filled with antiquities and knickknacks , pots outside filled with acre trees give a great garden feel in a enclosed space. Only downside was no kettle in room, but friendly owner happily filled my thermos for me to take to room.

Tourist trap! Hotel looks nice, good location, close to cathedral square but very noisy at night. Hotel looks charming but is a tourist trap. A.o simple breakfast is ridiculously expensive, so is the minibar and they charge 24 euros to park 2 bycicles in an open, outdoor parking area! So dear fellow cyclists, stay away. There are plenty of decent alternatives available.

They aim to “be a different kind of hotel”, and I’d say that true — the decor is curious but fun, and great to be so central. Clean, large rooms and a welcome reception. Good last minute room rate. Thanks for a great stay

My partner and I stayed here a year ago (visiting from Canada) for two nights and we loved our experience. The hotel had a classic decor but all the functionality we required. We had breakfast one morning and it was an incredible spread - various meats, cheeses, fruits, cakes and more - we felt very lucky! The location is excellent. Despite its close proximity to bars, we couldn't hear noise from outside in our room and had a great sleep. The owner was very friendly and efficient and helped us book a taxi for early hours on our departure date. There are a few chain hotels in the area but I would most definitely recommend staying here instead. Thank you for a lovely stay!

On the back of some challenging days on Camino Primitivo our stay at this place was delightful. Very clean, spacious, elegant and very well located next to the wall. Very good service, nothing was a problem. Great breakfast and cafe/bar Highly recommend.
