They should provide towels, soap and mineral water for offline booking guests too. But staff was cooperative

Very bad very bad reception, cleaning ladies, very bad washroom and very bad behavior today customer. Paying 1500rs for such a disgusting room with dirty washroom gave me bad experience.

The worst experience I had travelling in India for 3 months. Rooms are costly for what they offer. The bedsheets had stains and holes in some parts. The blankets didn’t seem like they had been washed. The ceiling fan was noisy. If you stay towards the back of the hotel the WiFi signal doesn’t reach your room. For this, they accepted after many requests to change my room location. |But the culmination of everything was the laundry service. Before booking, I asked if it was possible to get some laundry done. They said yes, I asked how much and they said the price would be per piece but never stated a price. The day after they wanted to charge me 450 rupees for 5 pieces of clothes (3 underwear, 1 T-shirt and 1 shorts). This amounts to 90 rupees per piece which I thought and shared with them was outrageous. All over India, I’ve been paying 20 rupees a piece sometimes even only 10. The maximum I paid was 50 a piece during Diwali weekend in Chennai. Still, this would have cost 250 rupees (for the 5 pieces). When I explained the situation the employee demanded the 450. I asked to speak to the manager who was only available on the phone. After speaking on the phone he slowly reduced the price to 100 rupees. I didn’t have the exact amount to pay the employee so gave him a higher bill and asked for change. The employee refused to give the correct change and when I pointed that out he just waved me out of the hotel together with the other employees. I’ve travelled to many places all over the world and never experienced anything like this.|I would recommend avoiding this hotel if you want to avoid being scammed and tricked by the employees working there. I stayed at another homestay in Badami and the treatment and cost of the accommodation were way better. Please consider other options before booking Hotel Mookambika Deluxe. I hope they change their treatment for future customers. At least tell your customers from the beginning the cost of the laundry and they will be able to decide upfront if that’s a price they find worth it.

Great value for price. "Deluxe" is not the word I'd choose to describe it, but it's comfortable and sufficient. The location is awesome, major sites all in walking distance. I was particularly impressed with the staff. The site through which I had booked the hotel had failed to forward my booking and the booked room was not available on the first night, but the staff was kind enough to give me different (bigger) room for one night with no added charges. Also extremely helpful in general with tips & arrangements.

The good part about this hotel is that location, which is hardly 10 minutes away from the Badami cave temples. The rooms were clean and we had a comfortable stay of two days. They should start the food service as well, we had to go out for the food. Also, the staff need to talk in Hindi or English, as a tourist nobody will learn Kannada.

I stayed only for one night. My booking was originally at some other hotel but i had to stay here for one night due to some issue with the booking. I was sceptical at first but the Manager/Owner was very helpful. He made sure I was comfortable and also arranged for a cab for sightseeing. Rooms are slightly old and a little rough around the edges. But they are passably clean. The hotel is located right opposite the bus stand. So it is very convenient but also quite noisy (although I did not face much of an issue). Do not expect 5 star service but f you want a reasonay comfortable stay for a couple of nights this will do the job. The hotel has a bar but does not serve meals. Veg snacks are fine but nonveg is not.

Badami is a small town with a bustling local market during the Diwali season. Hotel location is bang opposite to the bus stand.which makes it convenient for road travelers who are looking for cost effective accommodation. However the thin line between cost effective and cheap is crossed here. With a local liquor bar within the hotel premises makes this hotel the least preferred for family. With the hotel management frequently changing, there are no standard set of expectations which one can really look forward to. My experience was not so good since as a frequent traveler we expect few basic set of hygiene requirements which were not met. Holes on bed linen, gutkha spit marks in wash rooms to mention a few. Definitely not recommended for people travelling with family.

If you stay at Mookambika Deluxe, you'll find yourself right in the heart of Badami's main stretch which is a dusty, noisy, often dirty and crowded road. The upside to that is that you can find a shared auto to take you places very easily and that the bus stop is quite literally across the road from the hotel. (The railway station is quite a way away though). The rock/cave temples are also quite easily walkable from the hotel, which is a big plus. ||The hotel itself is not much to write about. It's old and pretty basic with a liquor shop right opp the lobby (so expect shady characters in and around the reception area). The rooms, however, have clearly been given a face lift. They're pretty clean and comfortable. There's room service with the standard fare if you should want it.||Pretty decent value for money, but if you can pay a little more (and have a vehicle of your own), look at the Heritage Resort or Clarks Inn instead.
