Hotel Moonlight

I stayed at Hotel Moonlight in Thamel during my trip to Nepal and I had a really good experience. The staff were honestly one of the best parts of the stay. Everyone was friendly, patient and always ready to help. They had great knowledge about what to do in Kathmandu and where to go, which made everything a lot easier for me. Any time I had a question they gave clear answers and good suggestions. The service at the hotel was top notch. When I needed help with anything the staff made sure it was taken care of quickly. They also checked in to see if I was doing alright which I really appreciated, especially after coming back from the mountains. The location was perfect. Thamel can be busy but this hotel is in a spot that makes it simple to walk to restaurants, shops and anything you might need. It is central without feeling too noisy or chaotic. My room was always clean when I got back. Housekeeping did a great job every day. The room was well stocked too with water, towels and everything else I needed. The bed was comfortable and the space felt safe and relaxing. Overall my stay at Hotel Moonlight was very positive. The staff, the service, the location and the room all made my time in Nepal much easier. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kathmandu.

Wonderful experience of their polite and loyal hospitality. I would stay here forever if I had no jobs to do. The natural gardens, their roof top view and the peaceful location elevated everything required in a best rated hotels. Highly recommended.

Nice western oriented hotel with good location. Very good breakfast bar. Room was comfortable and quiet. Staff very friendly. Would not stay anywhere else in Kathmandu.

We stayed at Hotel Moonlight after returning from trekking. Right from the moment we checked in, the staff were polite, helpful and committed to making our stay memorable. The rooms are basic, but extremely clean and, as the hotel is set back off the street, much quieter than previous hotels. The rooftop is beautiful in the evening to look out over the city and the buffet breakfast was one of the better ones we experienced.

This was my 8th stay at hotel Moonlight. Once again thank you to the management, reception & staff for making this an enjoyable stay. Hotel staff were friendly and we're able to answer any questions. The breakfast buffet suited many tastes with a variety of foods. There were numerous different foods available with the lunch and dinner menus. The rooms were clean, spacious with great attention to the small details. Eg complimentary coffee, tea and water in the rooms. The gardens and courtyards were well maintained, quiet and peaceful, a relaxing atmosphere. Don't forget to go up the 8th floor to see the views. I would highly recommend a stay in this hotel. I love the fruendkybhelpful staff at the hotel and I like the food and the layout of the space. The garden is lovely to sit it. The room had everything I needed. I enjoyed being here. It felt like home

The location is super central and close to the the marketplace.|Atmosphere is great, rooms are neat and comfortable, definitely value for money..... Manager Hari was very kind and accommodating to the whole group... I highly recommend this place and will certainly come back.

Stayed here before and after trekking up to Everest Base Camp.||The rooms are neat and tidy, with some obviously better than others, but I was grateful for the sleep after the trek.||Breakfast buffet is good, and the hotel is close to all tourist attractions in the Thamel area. You can change money for a better rate at the front desk than what is offered on the street.||The staff are very friendly and willing to help you should you have any requests of questions.
