Stayed here for 5 nights. Very good location! Walking distance from train station, downtown and all historical stuff. Quiet and very clean. Really nice and thoughtful with the water refill stations. There were 2 problems: it was very cold in the room; the AC was not working, meaning we couldn't turn on the heating function. We asked for extra duvets, which were put in the room, but they proved to be some kind of blankets. The other problem was the breakfast. Way too much bread, no eggs and hardly something healthy. For that money you can easily eat better nearby. LE: the air conditioning was not working, I can assure you. And I've seen this complaint among other reviews here.

Overall, an enjoyable, safe, comfortable launch pad for any traveller(s) that cares more about seeing what Porto has to offer, rather than a fancy room. The price felt on the expensive side for the style of hotel, but really you're paying for the prime location (and I would stay again!). It's easy walking to all of the main sights and restaurants in Porto Centro. Despite this, I found the room to be very quiet. The rooms don't have much to them but are very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were very helpful. I didn't end up having breakfast here, but they offer continental breakfast on site if that's your jam. I really appreciated the luggage storage lockers on site (you deposit euros to use, but get your money back when you take your bag) - This was great as my flight was later in the day and gave me more time to explore!

Moov Hotel Porto Centro is an exceptional choice for travelers seeking a modern, budget-friendly stay in the heart of Porto. Located in a beautifully restored Art Deco cinema, the hotel offers a prime location just minutes from São Bento Station and the city’s historic landmarks. The rooms are minimalist and spotlessly clean, featuring comfortable beds and excellent soundproofing that ensures a quiet night's sleep despite the central location. While amenities are basic—there are no minibars or kettles—the hotel provides thoughtful eco-friendly touches like filtered water stations on every floor and an affordable, fresh breakfast buffet. It is the perfect "no-frills" base for exploring the city on foot, though guests should be aware that the on-site parking is quite narrow for larger vehicles. They also have ATM on site and Staff was super helpful. Breakfast only has cold things , like pastries, muffins etc . Overall a perfect budget friendly hotel.

Minimalist vibe with great location. The staff are great and the hotel is relatively clean and quiet. Location on a budget are your drivers to stay here. We wouldn’t stay here again, though. The mattress was vinyl covered and a lumpy rock. We slept with the window open to keep cool in November as the room was 23c on arrival. The thermostat cannot be overridden. The whole function of a thermostat is to adjust and regulate temperature. The management response that it cannot be done is flatly dishonest. Overall a poor night’s sleep defeated any value provided. Rooms were very compact but otherwise sufficient. My wife lying in bed did notice a curious electronic device hidden in the ceiling which is depicted. WiFi was adequate as noted. There are luggage lockers in the lobby and front desk staff graciously stored our bags before checking in for no cost. The breakfast appeared to be similar to options from cafes nearby which we patronized at half the cost.

This is the most cost effective hotel in Porto. The room is simple, but cozy and spotlessly clean. Reception staff are very helpful. It’s located in the historic district, so most tourist attractions are within walking distance.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore Porto, and the price is very affordable. I really love the minimalist concept of the hotel, and the good quality coffee machine in the rooms was a great touch. Overall, the hotel contributed to a very enjoyable stay in Porto. We highly recommend it!

Short stay in downtown hotel, small, simple room but comfortable enough for one night. Decorated with simple furniture, picture , missing bit soul with some small details deco, making it lively. All most important historical attraction in walking distance. Breakfast is probably weakest part with low veggie part, too much bread 🥖, pastry, missing eggs 🥚. It is worth to think about more healthy food

We recently stayed at the Moov Hotel in Porto and had a great experience. It’s a very simple hotel, but clean, comfortable, and extremely affordable. The location was perfect within easy walking distance to many local sights as well as the train station, which made exploring the city effortless. Our stay included breakfast, which offered only cold options, but everything was plentiful and fresh a perfect way to start our day. The staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. A great choice for a budget-friendly and convenient stay in Porto!

Yelp
Can't recommend this place highly enough. Definitely will be my first choice if I am visiting Porto again (which I certainly hope to.) In fact, we are a bit disappointed that they don't have more locations, though the staff told us that they will be in Lisbon soon. Great value, centrally located close to main attractions as well as Sao Bento train and subway stations, super helpful staff, comfortable and clean room. They let us keep our luggage at their hotel for a few days when we spent a few days in Douro Valley, and when we asked for hot water from the cafe to make some tea, they lent us a kettle. It's a small hotel, so not a lot of rooms. Book early!

Yelp
The Moov hotel is a great bargain, in a great location in Porto. I was a little worried before arriving, with the price so low, but it's just a good bargain hotel that is new and kept up nicely. Definitely more than you would expect from a 2-star hotel. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed Porto. We did not try the hotel breakfast as the price was too high (7€) compared to the many other options just outside the door. The service was excellent. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We had to ask for extra pillows and blankets, as only one soft pillow comes on each bed, and the blanket is thin as well. The only issue I had with this hotel was the overly-scented room. When we walked in our room (room 315) we were greeted by a very strong air-freshener smell. It was so strong that I had to open the window and let the room air out. We decided to put the Do not Disturb sign on the door each day in case the housekeeping would spray any more air freshener in the room, it was just too much. After that smell had finally disappeared somewhat, it had more of a plastic/newly remodeled smell which is what I guess they were trying to cover up with the freshener. Either way, it made me have to keep the window open almost the entire time we were in the room. The bathroom is probably the nicest aspect of the room. Good water pressure, and it was very clean. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I was only in town for one nite, but I'd never stay anywhere else in Porto. It's an awesome value, close to everything, with remarkably friendly & helpful staff. I even got the Casablanca room! The shower facilities were excellent too. CR

Yelp
All you need in Porto downtown for 50 bucks per night!!!! I am a fan of this hotel! The staff is very friendly and helpful and well prepare: they speak several languages. The hotel is well located: close to all the main attractions. Definitely it is not a luxurious hotel, but it has all you need: clean rooms, a comfortable big bed, parking (although it is very narrow; it took me some time to park there a Citroen C5). Of course, do not expect many extras in the room: just shampoo and towels. I think they could improve a couple of things: the pillows (they are really flat) and the towels (they are small). But besides these two things, I was very happy with me stay. The breakfast costs 5€ and is very basic: bread, cereals, some bakery, coffee, yogurt and fruit. Not the best in the world, but I don't need more. Definitely a good experience overall!!!
