The hotel from a street view looked great, and the personnel were very helpful. There is an attached restaurant for meals all day long, and the food and prices were within reason. ||The primary reason for staying at this hotel is that it is within two blocks of the Madrid train and bus stations, several food services, a good park, a taxi, Prodo Museum, and an easy taxi ride to the Royal Palace.||The negative was that the room was a 'postage stamp' size, but for two nights worth the stay.

The included Breakfast is a very less.. unlike all other bookings we did ... They only provide limited items, 2 small pieces of bread butter jam juice and coffee! It's not at all filling !! It's not even mentioned anywhere while booking ! Even simple cereals, fruits and eggs are also not a part of breakfast !! Very dissatisfied and disappointed !! Attached image is for 2 people !!

Nice room, cleaned daily, but quite small. The bed was fine but the pillows a bit hard. A wonderful location. Although our room overlooked a very busy street, we did not hear any street noise because the balcony had double doors. We ate a few times at the adjoining restaurant which was pleasant. Fifteen percent discount for hotel guests at lunch and dinner (not breakfast).

Spending 3 days at this hotel in May 2024, my room was clean and organized. Bed was comfortable, room was good size with three windows/doors opening to a small porch viewing the streets and a huge park. Rooms are made daily and shower is very good. I booked and paid a suite but as at the time suite was not available they gave me a family room without any extra charge. Personnel are nice and polite. Location for those like me; getting to know the area, is just excellent and near by everything on foot. They do not have free breakfast but there is a restaurant attached to the hotel with a good food and breakfast for a fee. They have elevators and front desk 24 Hs. I recommend to everyone looking for a conveniently located hotel for the price. Train station and metro are very close walking distance.

I scheduled this hotel due to the proximity to The Prado Museum. It was a wonderful surprise! The room was very basic but it had an updated bathroom and great shower. The beds were super comfy & you just can't beat the location. They also offer breakfast plus there is a Museo del Jamon next door for a quick beer & tapas.

We did not sleep at the Hotel Mora but we did have a quick bite at the adjoining Cafe Tapa Arte. We had the Menu Tapas 1 which included a drink and two kinds of tapas. We also ordered a separate portion of patatas bravas with aioli sauce. It was nice to have the option of aioli sauce (which we prefer) rather than the more common spicy tomato sauce. We also had a coffee and a tinto de verano (a wine cocktail similar to sangria). The waitress was friendly and efficient. Total cost was $23.85 in Canadian dollars. The location and food was exactly what we needed after spending a few hours at the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum of art.

Booked a room with “twin bedS”, plural beds - received room with single bed for my mother and I to share. No manager available with any power to do anything. Best of all, the balcony which is connected to several rooms has a high wall you can barely see over, is totally lacking any kind of furniture, and is also completely insecure. The sliding doors which open from the room to the shared balcony have flimsy locks which are easily defeated with a good push. Great location if you don’t care about service, security, or beds. (Update) the balcony door was restored so that it could not be pushed open so easily, one would need a screw driver or a good butter knife to open it. But I also discovered in the morning that the bathroom window which is also accessible from the balcony is simply unlockable. It has another of the same locks, which in that case doesn’t even pretend to work. As I was checking out I asked again for a discount. The manager refused.

Yelp
Great place with friendly staff. Some drawbacks are that there is one very small elevator and no control of temperature in rooms. We reserved 2 rooms and both of them were locked on heat. Caution - showers are tough to get in and out without slipping.

Yelp
This review is for the attached restaurant. This place is not a tourist trap. Nothing is in English, and it gets full. Luckily I speak Spanish so I was eager to try out the menu of the day. You choose from a generous selection one course of a starter, a main, and a dessert plus a bottle of wine for 10,25€ per person. I had the caldo Gallego which is a chicken broth based soup with greens and deliciously nasty bits of chicken hearts, pig ears, and greens. My main was ternero asado which is like roast beef with gravy and potatoes. Flan for dessert. Everything was homemade and delicious! I went back again the next day because the choices vary daily and it was near my hotel and got the mushroom lasagna starter and the mero (grouper) in tomato sauce. Flan again for dessert. The house wine was drinkable and just fine and they give you bread as well. Service was gruff one day and more pleasant the next day but I loved it. Directly across from the Prado Museum. An affordable gem among many expensive or touristy places. Great place for a meal before the museums or to walk off in the nearby Plaza del Retiro. You'll be stuffed but not broke!
