6 Best Hotels in Dubrovnik (Updated 2025)

"Perched right on the water, Hotel More is a luxurious five-star cliffside hotel where every room has a balcony facing the shimmering Adriatic and the property features the most unique bar in the city, Cave Bar More, which is set in an actual cave on the water. The rooms are massive with super comfy beds, lots of natural light, calming tones, simple-yet-elegant furnishings (wooden desks and a separate seating area), and in-room amenities like a desk, flatscreen TV, coffee/tea maker, minibar, and safe. The bathrooms are spacious with slippers, cozy bathrobes, luxe toiletries, and great water pressure, and a complimentary breakfast buffet is available each morning with fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, and pastries. If I wanted to splash out on luxury, this is the hotel I’d choose." - Matthew Kepnes

I really don't know how you could bad review this hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights and it wasn't long enough. We arrived early and our room was ready and upgraded. The rooms are so much nicer in real life- clean and spacious. The sea view was amazing. The cocktails were fab and the breakfast was lovely. The view and peace and quiet whilst having breakfast is amazing. There was always space to sit or lie down to soak up the sun. Towels were always available. The cave bar is a bit different and was nice for a drink. Ubers were available straight away and a good price. The staff were pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. We loved it and would go back tomorrow.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights and had a lovely stay.||We arrived and our room wasn’t quite ready, but we were offered complimentary drinks.||Food and drink is pricey here (and in Dubrovnik in general)- it’s also probably worth mentioning you do have to pay a tourist tax on checkout. Saying that, the hotel setting is lovely and the Setnica walking trail is very scenic.||The hotel leave fresh towels on sunbeds. On most days you could get a bed by the pool or the sea (but naturally the sea front is popular) so you need to get out earlier for that. We booked a boat trip for an afternoon to see the blue and green caves- we used a local company and we only had a small group and they offered beers, wine etc which was lovely - would definitely recommend rather than the bigger tourist companies.||Restaurant More at the hotel was lovely - seafood is a must. Breakfast was really nice too with a really decent selection and al la carte options. Cave bar is also really impressive but it does get busy around sunset. ||Location is really good - taxi to the old town is only 10 mins (€8 uber). Old town is absolutely stunning - we would definitely recommend the Marco Polo (amazing steak) and Gradska kavana arsenal (amazing view of the harbour) - both you need to book. Other than that it’s just a stunning place to walk around and explore.||Hotel is a 5/10 minute walk to the beach where there are more bars and restaurants. Trinity is a must book for sushi - again you need to reserve but the prices are really reasonable prices and amazing food. ||Rooms are nice but I wouldn’t say the hotel is 5* - we had a garden room with a balcony but it was too hot to sit out on it because of a generator/ air con unit underneath. ||All the staff were really friendly from our experience so we would definitely considering coming back!!

We booked a very last minute break to this hotel and it was a very good decision. On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming, explained the layout of the hotel and called a porter to take us to our room. The room.itself was a deluxe double on the 3rd floor room 310. It was on two levels. The bottom level contained two toilets and a lounge area with TV and settee. Upstairs had an extra large bed, shower room which contained a separate shower and jacuzzi bath which was quite impressive. The rooms were very clean and we were left chocolate by our bed side tables every night which was a nice touch. We had a balcony with a part sea view which we didn't really use because we had the vent from the kitchen which was a bit noisy and smelt of food which was a bit over bearing. TheHotel itself was split into two separate buildings hense the very confusing lift system. Sometimes you needed to get two separate lifts to get to your destination but we soon got used to the set up. The Hotel had two swimming pools and a beach area with sunloungers on. Although small we always managed to get one. Breakfast was very nice and an ample selection to suit all tastes. Unfortunately you needed to book days in advance for the restaurants and we never managed to get a table there. I think it would have been useful for their paying guests to be able to book directly with the hotel rather than using an app which everyone could book on. The cave bar was an experience and a very inventive way to use the space. We never managed to get a table outside as it was very popular with guests of other hotels. Staff were super friendly and the food was lovely in there. The rear of the hotel takes you onto a lovely walk way which takes you to a variety of restaurants. To be honest they all served mostly the same food which was very pricy! Take lots of Euro's with you as even an iced coffee will cost you €11 the best restaurant we found was called Pinos it can be found close to the main road at the end of the Promenade. We booked a boat trip to three Islands which was very good value. €65 very good value for money as food included at lunch time either wine. This can be booked at the booth next door to the children's amusements although thete were many booking places along the prom but not sure if they were the same company. They literally pic you up in a mini bus and take you back as well. The old city in Dubrovnik was spectacular. We used Uber which cost us €11 , got hit with a heavy taxi bill on way back €25 rip off and the bus which you catch at end of the prom was €2.50 each way. On the whole we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend

This hotel is in the most stunning location and this is its best feature. The rooms are very clean and comfortable (sea view), they are dated in their decor with an over bath shower. The breakfast is very good with lots of choice. The restaurants, pool bar and cave bar are very expensive. The pool bar menu especially, as many holiday makers prefer a slightly less formal light food for lunch. The hotel staff are okay, I wouldn’t say friendly and in fact some seemed as if it was a bother to help. A big negative is the lack of water supplied to guests, you are provided with one complimentary bottle and after that, the hotel advice is to use tap water. Alternatively, a bottle of water at the hotel is €7 which is steep. There is a supermarket approximately a 10-15 minute walk away. If the hotel does not wish to provide bottled water, that is their prerogative, however, the least they could provide is water coolers around the hotel. The lifts are a little confusing but this hotel is built into a cliff face so to be expected. The main pool area is clean, beds are limited. Overall, this is a good standard of hotel, however, being an experienced traveller, this is definitely not a 5 star hotel and I think it thinks it’s better than it is. For me, it’s the attention to detail which makes a hotel 5 star and this hotel lacks attention to some details.

I was only staying for one night so a little hard to give a full review but there were a few niggles I came across: 1. It’s a very spread out property on a steep hill so you could have quite a walk to your room. Mine was the opposite end of the building and I was originally told I would be shown to my room. However, once out of the lobby elevator, the porter simply pointed in the direction of the room which was still down a maze of corridors, through a parking garage and into another building! I thought this was a bit weird but maybe he was at the end of his shift…. 2. The rooms are impressive in size but have strange furniture that don’t really go with the style. Things like an ironing board are missing and it feels a little bare. Soundproofing is poor too (I was staying above the restaurant which was noisy). 3. The breakfast felt a little sparse and could get quite repetitive if staying for a few days. I know it’s subjective and the food is quality looked good but I didn’t find much of interest. 4. You need to reserve tables outside for dinner which is to be expected given the views but something to be aware of. It’s also quite expensive (cocktails shockingly so). Overall it’s a nice hotel in a spectacular location and judging by the reviews of people staying longer, very popular too. Don’t be too put off by my review but I hope it gives you a different perspective.

A beautiful hotel situated around 10-15 mins outside of Dubrovnik Old Town. A fabulous location on a hillside. Beautiful views. We were upgraded to a suite. The bathroom was a little dated but the room was comfortable. |The breakfast was absolutely beautiful, so delicious and the restaurant is overlooking the stunning coastline. |The hotel has a lovely cave bar which opens out onto the sea.|You can walk into the local town i. 10 minutes which has some lovely restaurants|The only downside, which is due to hilly structure is the lift system which is dreadful. There are several lifts which all go to different floors which is very challenging to navigate.

This Hotel did not disappoint . All the staff from reception to cleaners were very friendly and helpful . Our room was very nice as you would expect from a 5 star hotel , we had a coffee machine in there , air con worked very well and not noisy if had on low fan . The food in the 2 restaurants was of very good quality , we was on half board so just had breakfast and evening meal included , however you could trade evening meal for lunch if so desired , your main meal consisted of a starter , main and dessert , we found that it was difficult to eat all 3 😁 , on last day we skipped the starter , being on half board all drinks had to be paid for , you can pay at table or put on your tab , the drinks are very expensive but we expected this with it being a 5 star , the Cave bar is definately worth a visit , you can order snacks from here . The views from the hotel are something else looking out to sea . The main pool is on level -1 with a jacuzzi inside , there is also a pool bar there , there is a smaller pool on level 5 with a jacuzzi outside this warms up to 40 *c . The hotel is set in 2 parts blue and yellow , you can only walk straight from one side to the other on the Concourse on level 5 , this is very confusing however not a problem for us , we just found it very amusing 😁 . When we ventured out of the hotel we used Uber every time apart from one time when we got into a taxi at a rank , we got ripped off so best to stick with Uber . We recommend more than one visit to the old city / old port , walking the walls of the city is €40 each as adults but well worth it . Also we went on 3 boat trips - |1) we booked one just outside the hotel which took us to some caves on Kolocep island , we also went to the Kalamota resort on the other side of island .|We booked the other 2 in advance on the TUI app - |2) Game of thrones tour , part boat , part on land in old city / port .|3) sunset boat trip with cocktails and canapes .|We thoroughly enjoyed all 3 excursions especially the Game of thrones trip as I am a big fan 😁 , my wife has never seen a single episode yet still enjoyed .|Overall would recommend both the hotel and city of Dubrovnik .

10/10 for all aspects. Booked this hotel as a long weekend break and it certainly delivered. You are close enough to get an uber to the old town without costing a fortune but the peace and quiet too, you have the promenade along the waters edge with plenty of access to a variety of bars and restaurants and this hotel has it all. Great amenities, pool, variety of restaurants, a quirky cave bar and the perfect sea spot. Staff were helpful, made a fuss for us celebrating our anniversary too.
