Hotel Moresco is a beautifully maintained property with sophisticated Moorish decor that adds a unique charm to the stay. Located just a convenient 10–15 minute walk from the Venice train station, it’s easily accessible yet tucked away on a quiet side street with a view of a channel river, providing a peaceful retreat from the busier parts of the city. The staff is attentive and welcoming, contributing to a warm and personalized experience. Rooms are well-appointed, thoughtfully designed for comfort, and provide ample space and storage. The breakfast is good with a variety of options to start the day right. A standout feature is the refillable water station in the lobby — a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a tranquil, elegant stay in Venice with top-notch service.

Love this hotel! Beautiful guest areas and rooms. All necessary amenities are provided. Breakfast and cappuccino was delicious. Espresso maker in room. Bottle of champagne chilled in a bucket in your room when arriving. They also had a very nice bar area for cocktails. We were a little late getting back for the happy hour but the appetizers looked amazing. Front desk was very helpful with lunch and dinner recommendations. The restaurants they suggested had the best food and service. Front desk also arranged a water taxi tour for our family and scheduled our water taxi to the airport. Top notch and we all loved our short stay and would definitely love to come back for a longer stay to venture out more and see even more of Venice.

Most enjoyable stay at the hotel Moresco. Front desk staff was very friendly and most helpful. The had a free fruit drink in the marvelous private relaxing patio to the side of the hotel while we waited for our rooms to be finished. The room was very well appointed and most comfortable quality bed. Front desk, lounge and breakfast areas were well appointed. Located on a canal for easy water taxi access.

Google
Beautiful hotel in a tranquil neighbourhood off the main tourist track. The decor had lots of character and charm, and everything was pristine. This hotel just made our time in Venice feel special. Smaller details like free snacks in the afternoon, a welcome drink, and robes and slippers made it well worth the price. The quiet outdoor space was also a treat when we wanted to recharge.

We are so glad we decided to spend a bit more and stay here in Venice. The decor is beautiful, there’s a nice garden to sit outside and rest, the staff is friendly, the AC was the best we had in Italy. It’s also great value as there’s breakfast and afternoon snacks included, plus a welcome drink was which lovely after a travel morning. The room was very clean, functional, pretty, and there were robes and slippers. Finally, I loved the location. The train station was walkable (10 minutes), and you are far enough away from the very touristy part of the city so walking around nearby felt peaceful and charming. This hotel really made Venice feel like a vacation and allowed us to sit back and relax more.

Google
Our first time staying at the hotel and it was amazing! I was a little skeptical beforehand since this hotel had so many good reviews but all of them were true. From the moment you walk in you feel taken care of and everyone is so accommodating! The rooms are exactly as advertised and the hotel is conveniently located near the bus station so you do not have to walk too far with your luggage. All I can say is thank you to the staff who made our trip to Venice so wonderful and if you are a tourist looking for a place to stay then STAY HERE!

As soon as the boat dropped us directly outside the hotel I knew we were in for a fantastic few nights at Moresco. |We were greeted by hotel staff and offered a drink and nibbles before being shown to our room, even though we arrived early. |The hotel is in a great location away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas which we walked to every day. |The area is much quieter with some lovely places to eat out. |The staff looked after us impeccably well, especially Enza whom recognised it was my wife’s 50th birthday and arranged a little treat for her 😊. |I would recommend Moresco to anyone seeking a quiet, luxurious place to stay away from the crowds.

Google
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very helpful, and offered lots of suggestions for where to eat. The hotel is small but beautiful and is next to a side canal so while you can hear the boat traffic its not excessive. We would stay there again. We particularly enjoyed the garden, breakfasts and the afternoon wine with cichetti.

Yelp
Great location, facilities and service. Unassuming exterior. Interior is stunning. The dining and cafe rooms bring old school charm while the rooms (and the bathrooms) blend that style with modern fixtures. Rooms are large. Bathrooms are well designed and spacious with sufficient hooks and counter space. Service is extremely friendly and thoughtful. When we informed the desk we would check out early for a flight and needed a taxi, they arranged a large taxi for our snowboard bag without even asking. They also offered to prepare breakfast for us ahead of their regular hours but we declined. Nice touches around the hotel and rooms for Carnvale too. Not going to reach many users as Yelp doesn't seem to be a big thing in Europe but I would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
After returning from northern Italy by train, I spent my final night in the country at the Hotel Moresco. I was here solo, since my traveling companions were staying deeper in the heart of Venice for a few extra days. (I was headed out on a flight the next morning.) Location was key for me - it was only a short walk from the transportation hub, so it was a quick walk here to check in; and another quick walk to the airport bus the next morning. Yet the hotel was located on a canal with very little pedestrian traffic. As for the hotel itself, I was blown away. The staff were friendly and attentive, the lobby and halls were luxurious, my room was embarrassingly large (for Europe), and the breakfast spread was over-the-top great. It was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my Italian vacation. Yet weirdly, the price was not obscene. That may be partly because I booked it several months ahead. For those considering this hotel, keep in mind that you'll be walking at least 30 minutes to reach Piazza San Marco, unless you take a water taxi. But if you enjoy walking, like I do, it adds an extra, pleasant adventure. That evening, it was no problem for me to walk 20 min over to Campo Santo Stefano to join my friends for dinner. In fact, it was perfect. The next morning, I admit was a little sad I hadn't planned in an extra day.

Yelp
Gorgeous, classy hotel steps from the bus with delicious massive breakfast included, stunning rooms, and in a quieter area of the island. Everyone who works there is so sweet, you get a welcome platter of snacks and drinks and happy hour snacks every day and it really felt like coming home at the end of the day. Recommending to everyone. 5 stars!!!!

Yelp
Booked on very short notice. Great price during the spring considering it is a 4 star hotel in a prime location. Great breakfast spread with options to order eggs which is served until 11. Tucked away in the corner are my new favorite breakfast food--pizzette. Extremely helpful front desk staff. I like to keep a low profile but even for simple inquiries they were always on point. During breakfast there's a constant stream of guests being helped in meaningful ways. The rooms are very nice, modern elegance, closer to what a visitor from the US would expect from a 5-star hotel. I had a ridiculous travel schedule which necessitated paying for 2 days that I didn't fully use (morning arrival, nighttime departure) but I was happy to spend the money here.

Yelp
Highly recommend Hotel Moresco, stayed here twice over the past 5 years and is truly one of my favorite hotels... I wish every hotel could be like them. Their customer service is second to none, calling them or texting them from the states they always answer your questions and have great advice. Rooms are beautifully decorated and try to book with a view of the canal and bridge.. just beautiful. Complimentary breakfast is served , great choices and unlimited with fantastic coffee anyway you want. Hotel is spotless and has a beautiful garden area to eat breakfast in on nice weather mornings. Some may thing it's a bit out of the way from the center of city but I love that it's a 5 min walk from piazza Roma when you take the bus from Marco Polo airport and you are a 6 min walk to the ATV ferries to travel around Venice, also the main train station is about a 7 min walk to catch bullet trains to other parts of Italy. Florence 2.5 hrs , Verona 1.5 hrs away. Hotel Moresco is a true Gem and its employees make it superb. Truly one of my favorite hotels in the world. Thank you guys , simply the best!

Yelp
It's hard to add anything different than what others have said. So convenient but just a bit away from the congested areas. Vaparetto main station a short walk away and turn station too. Five stars for every staffer at this hotel. It's a true gem. The garden is a lovely respite from being a crazy tourist. They grow potted mandarins, lemons and limes outside and the woman who tends to the plants was so sweet and proud. Loved the breakfast, the happy hour. You'd think a hotel would up charge the spritzes but they were 5 euro just like everyplace else. I love them for not hosing their guests. We were there in October and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
The most wonderful hotel in Venice! Hubby and I finished our honeymoon at this amazing hotel and we see why it has endless positive reviews here and online. The hotel is small, stunning and so clean. The staff genuinely goes out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed and have everything you need. The front desk was always there to answer any questions we had and helped arrange our car service back to the airport. Their breakfast spread is perfecta and their cappuccino is delicious. Their happy hour Cicchetti is such a nice touch! The most delicious little snacks and we met so many wonderful hotel guests that way. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to be tucked away from the noise but close enough to access all of the Beauty Venice has to offer!

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Moresco. We selected this hotel because it was on the canal but set back from the busiest tourist areas. In addition, the reviews were very good. We were not disappointed! The hotel is easily assessable, beautifully apportioned, and the staff is wonderful. Definitely a 5-star experience. It's location is about a 30 min walk to Rialto and 45 min to San Marcos, but the water bus that runs the Grand Canal is only a 5 min walk which makes getting around quite easy. From the beginning, the staff took very good care of us. We called ahead to arrange a water taxi from the airport (120 Euro but door to door service), then stored our bags while we were waiting for our room to be ready. Barbara, at the front desk, was super helpful. She explained the hotel amenities, to include breakfast and happy hour, and helped us decide on local attractions and travel. She was just a joy to work with all 4 days we were there. The room was just perfect. It was plenty large enough for the two of us with a large bath. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the canal. The windows were insulated and we couldn't hear any of the canal traffic unless the window was open. There was a complementary bottle of Prosecco in the room when we arrived. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. At least 2 waiters were there to ensure we had everything we needed. There was plenty of hot and cold items to choose from plus the staff would prepare eggs to order and coffee or tea. There was no rush and the food was terrific. And mimosas were on the house! The outside patio looked like a great place to enjoy breakfast but the weather was a little too cold in the mornings for us to use that amenity. We only went to the happy hour once but the food there was also good. Hot and cold snacks and an attentive bar tender. The alcohol is not included but that didn't bother us a bit. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. It's top notch with a terrific staff that makes the stay just perfect.

Yelp
Spent one night here. Checked in late around 6pm. After finishing at the front desk, the staff invited my gf and I to have complimentary snacks and wine in the "library". The snacks were amazing. The house red was good. My room was on the second floor closest and facing the river. That window view is forever engrained in my head. I would go back in a heart beat. The staff is extremely courteous.

Yelp
Wow!!! Hotel Moresco is just about the greatest hotel experience my girlfriend and I have ever enjoyed!! Our room was stunningly beautiful and sophisticated, the staff made us feel like family (especially Andrea, Barbara, and Mirco!!), and the daily breakfast buffet was so good that we wish we never left. And we must shout out a special thanks to a very friendly young man named Randell, who helped retrieve my girlfriends overly expensive earring after she mistakenly dropped it into the drain of our bathroom sink!! He saved us many hundreds of dollars!! When you go, DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FREE BOAT TRIP TO THE MURANO GLASS FACTORY!!!! This was mind-blowingly fun, and one of the highlights of our trip! Can't wait to go back again to this wonderful hotel!

Yelp
Fabulous hotel! Prior to our arrival we asked the hotel to make some restaurant reservations for us and they promptly made the bookings and notified us. We were not sure if the location was ideal but it was actually perfect! From the airport you can take the airport express and arrive at the bus station in 20 mins for only about 11 euros round trip. The hotel is less than 5 minute walk from the bus station and it is a very easy and quick walk. Walking to San Marco is about twenty minutes but there are plenty of random canals to explore along the way! Plenty of restaurants nearby too! Upon arrival you are provided with some complimentary snacks and drinks. We also were provided a free bottle of prosecco in our room. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast with eggs made to order as well as evening snacks. Free wi-fi too! Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable!

Yelp
Venice was our 5th stop on our month long honeymoon-adventure through Europe. In our last 4 hotels, we only had one dud so Hotel Moresco had a high bar to reach. And they exceeded it!! What an amazing, special hotel. We start at our arrival at Marco Polo airport. The hotel arranged a private water taxi for us for approx. €110. What an amazing way to enter the city. And the boat takes you right to the front door of the hotel. I highly recommend this!!! It was so cool and definitely worth the money. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly staff that checked us in promptly. They took our bags upstairs and showed us the amenities of the room. The staff is so nice!!! Our room was amazing. Not huge but normal for Europe. Plenty of room for my wife and I to put away our clothing and feel like we had some space to move around still. Plus, you're not inviting people to hang in the room with you so how much room do you ever really need on these types of trips. The bed was super comfy. It faced our two windows which both look out to one of Venice's fantastic canals. Omg. What an amazingly cool view to look out in the morning and night. The shower and bathroom were very nice as well. The location is perfect for us. We don't like to be in the middle of the touristy, chaos. We prefer to be closer to the authentic city life and neighborhoods...as long as we can get to the touristy crap easily. And as long as you're ok with a 15 minute walk, you're close enough to St. Marks and the touristy scene. There are a ton of restaurants, cafes, and such right around the hotel. One of my favorite pizza places in all of Europe is right around the corner. It's a "walk up and order and eat standing" type pizza place. Delicious. The breakfast and early evening happy hour at the hotel are amazing as well. We ate our made to order breakfasts in the courtyard area every morning. It's really fantastic. There is always food, snacks, drinks and fruits available for the taking (24/7) so we were always picking up a cookie or something whenever we came or left the hotel. One day it rained and the hotel had amazing umbrellas by the door. They saved us. We walked around the whole city while the streets were emptied out. It was perfect. Hotel Moresco and its staff made our Venice experience what it was. Thank you to all the staff and we hope to see you the next time we come to your amazing city!!

Yelp
I was first impressed by this hotel before we even arrived in Venice. I had emailed a few times for restaurant recommendations, directions, etc and I always received a detailed response back within minutes. When we arrived, we were not disappointed. We were welcomed with a drink and snacks and even though it was very early, our room was waiting for us. The room was very nice and spacious by European standards. The bed was very comfortable, the water pressure and temperature were great, and we had a canal view (room 109). Storage was adequate. The breakfast buffet was also very nice, though the same every day. In addition to pastry, meats and cheeses, cereal, and fruit, there were eggs made to order. The front desk service at the hotel was great - everyone was always very friendly and eager to help. In fact, Mirco was able to get us last minute restaurant reservations at La Lanterna (very good) after another restaurant turned us away despite having reservations (Antiche Carampane, do not recommend). Mirco did everything he could to get our original restaurant to honor our reservation, and when they refused, he immediately set to work on finding a new place. The location of the hotel is ideal for arriving via train or bus, but not as close to many of the sights as we might have liked. Although I'd prefer to walk a little extra to the attractions than drag my luggage across the city! It really only was an issue at night after dinner when we were tired and didn't relish the idea of walking back. There were a few areas for improvement: - there was a half empty water bottle left in our mini fridge from a previous guest (water is complementary) - our shower head was damaged - although you can adjust the temperature in the room, there is a limited range available and we were slightly warm (just kept the windows open) -service at breakfast was a bit disorganized and slow Our only regret is that we were not able to participate in the hotel happy hour - but it looked like everyone was having a great time!

Agathe A.

Yelp
Hotel is just great ! Location : It is near the bus / train station ,so easy to drag your luggage there. There is a vaporetto stop nearby. You do have a 15 -20 min walk to the main attraction of the place San Marco. The rooms : they are beautifully decorated, we had an inside balcony , if we wanted to smoke ( we don't , but that was a thought) . Beds are extremely comfortable. No noise. Bathroom was spacious with a huge shower and water jets , color changing lights and high end toiletries. Breakfast is just sooo good ! Everything you want ! Eggs made just for you, salmon, hams, salami, cheese, fruits , etc . Fresh made juice . We didn't try the happy hour buffet , but it did look delicious . Staff : the best and friendliest of all ! I would definitely recommend and we will be back .

Yelp
Wonderful boutique hotel with under 30 rooms centrally located in Florence. They have the best service of any hotels we stayed at in Italy. Beautiful little courtyards, quaint reception and library area with light snacks and food for happy hour each evening. Rooms are super quiet and you will be welcomed with smiling, helpful staff and a bottle of champagne. Great choice if you'll be in Venice for a few nights.

Yelp
Wonderful experience from start to finish during our stay. The staff was always incredibly kind and attentive, the hotel itself was gorgeous, and our room was a delight. We were greeted with a drink and a snack while they brought our bags to our room/completed our check in which was a welcome surprise. I look forward to staying at Hotel Moresco the next time we stay in Venice!

Toby F.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. Mirco was more helpful than our Rick Steves travel guide. Our room was perfect, breakfast was delicious and after a long day of exploring Venice we were always welcomed back with a smile. We look forward to staying at Hotel Moresco on our next trip to Venice.

Yelp
Simply the best, checking in, they seated us in their garden, served us prosecco and delicious appetizers. Nicky, the manager/concierge was totally helpful- gave wonderful local restaurant recommendations. The location was superb for us, off the grand canal so it was quiet and away from the crowds. The Santa Croce neighborhood was so inviting and beautiful that we decided not to go to the conventional tourist attractions and stayed local. The rooms are gorgeous, well fit out, top toiletries and exceeding comfortable beds. Everything worked to perfection. The price point of this hotel is really remarkable making it both a great place to stay and a great value at the same time.

Yelp
Can I live here?! I am in love with this hotel. They do everything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. I can't say enough good things -- and I sort of don't want to because I want this place all to myself. The rooms are clean and bathrooms gorgeous. The staff is attentive and courteous - my favorite being Lorenzo. DO NOT miss the happy hour. This place was my favorite stay in Italy.

Yelp
The nicest hotel during our visit to Italy because the staff here are truly one of a kind! Enza, petro, and all the team were always so welcoming and helpful. They gave our daughter a toy at welcome and we had our crib ready to go. There's a homey feeling to this hotel you won't get anywhere else. The location was great because we really got to experience all of Venice by walking down different roads from our hotel. We loved it. The breakfast was delicious and the crew at breakfast was truly the best ever. We will always miss our visit here and that's because of their amazing staff. We hope to visit again.

Yelp
This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is outstanding and ever so helpful. The room had a view of the canal. It was large and comfortable. The bathroom shower was spacious and tastefully decorated. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel. You will just have to come here for a stay!
google avatar

Laurie R.

Yelp
Fantastic! My room was beautiful. Loved the big window that opened to the garden. Big, beautiful bathroom with plush towels and bathrobe. Customer service = A+ The experience started with a welcoming latte in the front sitting room. From that moment, I was waited on and taken care of by the staff. My bag didn't arrive on the flight with me. Instead of my having to chase it down, the hotel staff took it upon themselves to locate it and get it delivered to my room. Both the breakfast and the evening reception were very nice. I'll be back!

Yelp
More from the Honeymoon. I will say that I didn't have super high expectations going into this hotel, but overall it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Rather than just doing a regular, narrative review, it will save time to just list all of the great things about this hotel: -Before arriving, they sent out a detailed email showing our various options from getting to the hotel from the airport, including a set of pictures showing what walking to the hotel from a certain drop off point would look like. -At check-in the room wasn't ready yet (we were early), so they took our luggage and offered us a complimentary drink in their lounge. -Luggage was taken automatically to our room when it became available (as we were walking through Venice) -Room was super comfortable, had an amazing view of the canal, and we were given a full room tour when we first went up. -Any time we left for the day, the room was not only cleaned but straightened. This includes hanging up coats, capping bottles that were left open, and closing up open suitcases -Free bottle of Prosecco and free cake upon leaving -We never took advantage of it, but apparently they offered free breakfast every morning and a free buffet dinner every night. Had we chosen to, we would not have had to pay for food the entire time. -Friendliest front desk staff ever. They helped us with bookings, recommendations, and made the process of traveling so much easier. We were greeted with big smiles every time they ever saw us, coming or going I know reading about hotels isn't as exciting as reading about food, but really if you are ever in Venice for a vacation I recommend this hotel highly.

Yelp
We were impressed from the start! Great service and staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was amazing. We didn't do the happy hour but we should have. Rooms were perfect for us two to enjoy.

Yelp
Stayed here 3 nights (on 2 separate occasions) and was very impressed. The staff was always on point and the rooms were very impressive. The hotel is quite a walk from the bustling shopping areas but it's a short walk to the train, bus, and cruise terminals and if you were willing to pay for it, just a 15 minute water taxi ride, door to door to/from the airport (which the hotel was able to coordinate). The little library bar was a cool hangout at night after realizing there isn't much to do in Venice after dinner, and the patio was beautiful and smelled of lily anytime there was a breeze. The complimentary breakfast, and food at happy hour were high end and the welcome bottle of bubbles on ice is a nice touch. My only real complaints were; 1.) A/C in both rooms I stayed in didn't really work well or was underpowered for the room, 2.) there is only one american outlet in the entire room so charging phones, laptops, cameras all required shuttling our devices to the bathroom sink - not the end of the world of course. The positives of this place more than outweigh these issues. Would definitely stay again.

Susan C.

Yelp
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Moresco. We had taken a cruise out of Venice, and stayed here for a couple of days on our way back. We had arrived in the morning well before our check in time, but the staff was very helpful and directed us to relax and have breakfast out on the patio while they got a room ready for us. Our room was gorgeous, spacious (especially for European standards), and very comfortable. Location is great; easy to get to the bus circle to get back to the airport. Very memorable experience, and one of our favorite hotels that we've ever stayed in.

Shantesh S.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel for one night during our vacation to Italy in December 2014. Hotel Moresco stands out as a gem in the lovely city of Venice and we could not have been happier with our stay. The staff was prompt during all aspects of our trip - right from emailing itineraries to the Italian consulate for our Schengen visa to providing us assistance into the local sights and sounds! When we checked in, Fabio at the front desk was extremely helpful and recommended the best places for cichetti and local Venetian food. Our room was nothing short of opulent and had everything one could ask for to feel special - a spacious, contemporary room, espresso machine, plush bathrobe and slippers, a mini fridge equipped with reasonably priced goodies and the best part...a spa bath! Finally, this review would be incomplete without a mention of the breakfast. The breakfast was, by far, the best that we've had in any hotel we've stayed. Made-to-order omelettes, yummy savory puffs, fresh honey comb (yes!), etc offered the perfect energy boost to walk through the narrow streets and canals of Venice! Thank you, Hotel Moresco and we hope to be back soon...
