Wonderful location. Good food. You can sit there, have an idle chat, watch people and traffic pass by. Usually pretty full and it might take a while to get to order or pay your bill. So relax and enjoy the surrounding. It was very nice to see people of all age groups gather there. Has an old charm. Loved the Turkish coffee that's served with Turkish delight. The Moskva Šnit cake comes highly recommended.

I find it difficult to review this place. STAFF: The woman receptionist was lovely, kind and efficient. The staff who took care of luggage at early check in are very efficient. The breakfast staff are mixed: the lady with long brown hair seems useless, the gentleman making omelettes is very kind and efficient, many of the other older male staff seem miserable/they don't seem suited to hospitality. ROOM: Traditional which is what you'd expect for such an old hotel, however our bed was particularly old and uncomfortable. We woke up sore, it was super soft and sagging in parts. BUFFET: More signs were missing or incorrect on each of the food items than not. I pointed out 9 incorrect signs which were then changed. It's not a big issue for those who can eat anything, however for those with allergies like myself, labelling nuts correctly, gluten free bread correctly etc is very important. Staff were very dismissive of this. I only wish I had the luxury of being so apathetic about these things. Saying this, they are one of the few places that do have gluten free bread on their buffet, which is worth mentioning (they didn't label it until I asked twice though). Overall the spread is reasonably good (salads, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, hot cooked eggs/sausages/tomatoes etc). They did finish up breakfast serving early though and started to pack everything up before it was meant to finish. This is very poor and they turned off the coffee machine 5 minutes ahead of time too. It's poor form. The Serbians next to us complained and the staff didn't seem to care. Something to note: go early. I also went out for breakfast after, as I didn't see much I would want to eat and only later upon pack up found out there was someone who could make you fresh omelettes. I asked if this was possible when I sat down initially and was told that they didn't speak English, I decided to leave it. FACILITIES: The general bathrooms for when you eat at the restaurant etc are in a pretty bad state: no toilet paper/all wet floors (see video). OVERALL: I don't think you miss much just going there for a coffee, enjoying people watching and the gorgeous interiors and beautiful piano playing, so I'd skip staying personally and regret doing so. OVERALL: Definitely visit - it's gorgeous, I wish the staff were more proud of working in such an establishment, with great hospitality. I don't recommend staying.

I don’t casually hand out 5 stars, although in fairness and balance, I have to declare that I was prepared for it to be good, and so it was. I knew of its history and many famous guests, enough in itself to attract us, so forgive me for the cliché but it really did exceed expectations. The word ‘grand’ is well applied here. The rooms are big and the bed was huge. We had a lovely view out over a grand boulevard, the breakfast was first rate, service was efficient, well choreographed, and there was a 5* choice. It’s historic, important and a worthy addition to your collection of fine European capital city hotels stayed-in …and the spa is great too!

We didn't stay in the hotel but visited it most days to have cocktails, cake or tea. Our tour guide said that it's one of the most memorable experiences in Belgrade. Service was hit and miss, but you are there more so for the live piano player and general "old time" decor. Recommend the Cremeschnitte!

Hotel Moskva is one of the most iconic hotels in Serbia — and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was lovely and more than enough, the rooms were spacious, airy, and very clean. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout my stay. One of the hotel’s most charming features is the live piano music playing in the café-restaurant area at any time of day — it really sets a wonderful atmosphere. I also found it fascinating to learn that many famous figures have stayed here. If you're looking for a stay that combines both history and comfort, this place is a perfect choice.

Beautiful hotel, with an excellent location. It seems a bit old, but it has an air of restrained, balanced elegance, without anything spectacular or opulent. The reception is quite small, but the pastry shop and the Tchaikovsky restaurant in the lobby add a great deal of elegance. At first I was given an extremely small room with a disastrous view of an interior courtyard. Later, upon insistence, my room was changed to a suitable one, with an interior staircase and a view of the city. They did not have slippers in any room or a spoon for putting on shoes, surprising for a hotel of this category. Another shortcoming, the lack of an iron in the rooms. For parking, which is quite expensive, you have to make a reservation in advance. I did not do it and I had a bit of discomfort. All in all, Hotel Moskva is a place with personality that I will return to with great pleasure.

We were at Hotel Moskva tonight a place I’ve loved since childhood and always considered a symbol of elegance and tradition in Belgrade. Sadly, our experience with a waiter named MİLOŠ was incredibly disappointing. When we politely second time asked for the bill (after waiting quite a while ),with "sorry can we have the bill" he responded with: “I don’t have six hands,” in a rude and dismissive tone. Instead of showing any professionalism or basic courtesy, he continued to argue. He even passed our table carelessly, hit a chair, and didn’t bother to put it back. When my husband tried to point out his behavior, the waiter raised his voice and starting accusing him of yelling not taking care of his own high voice. He did the same to me as well. Rather than de-escalating, he behaved arrogantly and rudely. His behavior was arrogant and completely unfit for such a reputable hotel. Sadly, when we later looked through other reviews, we noticed a pattern many complaints also mention poor service and impolite waiters. This shows that our experience is not an isolated case. Hotel Moskva deserves better. I truly hope the management will take these reviews seriously and work on proper staff training and have the right people. Staff like this can damage the image of a hotel that has always been a pride of Belgrade. A heartfelt thank you to the General Manager for taking the matter seriously and responding to my email with such warmth and genuine care.

An important hotel in Belgrade, an historical place. I appreciate the live piano music, the fact that it's now non smoking 🚭 inside. The food is decent and the breakfast options too. The cakes are recommended especially the Moskva cake, their speciality. The rooms are small and the spa too. Even the presidential suite is not that big compared to the one in Hyatt or Square Nine. The location is perfect. Overall a good choice especially if you like traditional places.
