Stayed here for two nights. I guess because the hotel is in Freiburg, they already get enough business, so it seems they haven’t bothered hiring staff with even basic hospitality skills. I hoped it was just the person who checked me in, but it turned out that the whole team seems to dislike their jobs and their guests. The rooms are fine, but don’t expect warmth or friendliness from the staff. Even if you greet them with a big smile, it won’t be returned.

The hotel doesn't have rooms with two separate beds. I paid €133 for a room. Breakfast isn't included, costing €18 per person. I stayed only one night and had breakfast at a bar near the hotel. I've never seen anything like it before; they certainly didn't make a good impression.

We will never stay here again. We booked under the assumption that when a hotel advertises it offers parking, that it will have parking. That was not the case. We arrived very late after a full day of driving and the receptionist was sarcastic, rude, and incredibly unhelpful. When we asked where the parking was, he just said it was full, so we asked where we could park since we would be staying here for the night and had a car, the receptionist then proceeded to say I don’t know and give nothing further. We also had our dog and paid a pet fee, which is fine….but the room had hardly space for two people and definitely not a dog or a suitcase and no way if you have both. We eventually found parking, but it was a walk from the hotel, and we had to pay for the entire night. We were not the only ones, we ran into another couple who were hauling all of their stuff because the parking garage was full. Overall, I think the whole experience could’ve been okay if the staff had been friendly and provided solutions to their own problem of a full garage, instead of simply saying I don’t know.

Great location in centre of town. Welcome / check-in really pleasant. everything was ready. ||Bar is great too. ||Room was usual - size-wise and comfort good too. ||A tip - parking is cheaper at nearby Zaehringer Tor

We stayed one night (2 people), without breakfast. Pros: - Great location just a short walk from the Münster - Clean - Parking was an extra 15€ for the night, but quite convenient. - Friendly service/easy check in/out - Good Wifi - Checkout at 12:00 Cons: - Room is a bit cramped and basic. - No good place to put a suitcase. No closet - just hooks and hangers. - No tray/basket in the shower to set toiletries

The bald guy at the reception today declined to give us a coffee at 5 in the morning when I leaving for work. He was super rude and instead of being the lounge 24 hours open he said he doesn’t feel like giving the coffee. I never seen such racist behaviour in a hotel and it’s not great. He should be fired immediately. Disappointed

Room price is reasonable for the location. However, the mattress of my bed was two mattresses put together and both of them were very worn out (left one more than right one). They also are pet friendly and have carpets. So since I am allergic I would appreciate if they had rooms which aren’t pet friendly, or without carpet but I get the carpet is for acoustic reasons… Anyway the room felt very clean. And it was quiet. Also my room was too warm and I guess I should have asked at the reception but I wasn’t able to change the heating of the room. Another minus is that only android phones can connect to the TV. The breakfast is a bit over priced for what you get (only boiled eggs, no scrambled or fried), but the staff is incredibly friendly! Ambient is quite and relaxed, seems like most guests are there for business.

The lady at check-in was very friendly and managed to find me a quiet room, just as I'd requested. She also recommended some late-night food spots, which was really helpful.||The room itself was basic but very clean. They only provide one bottle of water for your entire stay, so you might need to buy more from nearby, but this was a minor inconvenience considering the hotel’s lower price compared to others. It also would have been nice to have access to a hot drink, even if it was from a communal area. As I need my morning coffee, I discovered a fantastic café across the road that serves delicious Vietnamese coffee - a nice surprise in Freiburg! ||I appreciated that the windows opened, allowing fresh air in, which meant I didn't need to use the air conditioner and the room stayed at a comfortable temperature. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure.||My only minor gripe was with the TV. While it was a premium brand (Loewe), the HDMI port on the side was disabled, and the one on the back, which you can't physically reach, was the only one available to select. When I asked about this, they said it was by design, which I found quite odd - why have the option to select an external input at all? You can cast with an Android device (not with iPhones), but this didn't work well for me. With most channels being in German except for a few news ones, it would have been nice to plug in my phone via HDMI and stream something.
