The best location. Friendly staff (special thanks to Sergio who was super accommodating and humble). The only downside is that you have to pay 15 euros per day for the pet fee. Rooms are nice, and it’s quite hotel. Had great time! They let me check out an hour later without extra charge. Gracias, amigos!

Great location. Lovely modern hotel. Lovely decor comfy bed. Very efficient staff. We didn't have breakfast as we were meeting family. Perhaps a little expensive for the kind of breakfast on offer but the only negative is lack of proper seating to accommodate people for breakfast at busy times. Had drinks in the evening which were fine.

This was our first trip to Europe and the first place we stayed. What a fantastic way to start the trip. Super clean and modern with great decor. The room was super clean, and not small for Europe standards. Also for london the price wasn't bad either. Would highly recommend.

Hotel in a very convenient location. I was in one of the rooms that overlooked other buildings as opposed to the road, so the volume of traffic doesn’t impact every room. Check in was quick but impersonal. Rooms are a good size, mattress and pillows were to my liking but could be too soft for others.||One thing that lets this hotel down is the curtains in the bedroom – something that most hotels don’t seem to get right. They are too short and are not blackout, so on a very sunny Friday morning like today you are going to be woken up as the Sun rises. ||In addition, there are no USB ports on any of the plug sockets, so very difficult to charge your phone if you only have a USB card.

The rooms are small even by London standards, manageable for a solo traveller but I wouldn't want to try it with someone else. Spartan, with a couple of coat hangers on a bar behind the bed head, otherwise nowhere to unpack - plan to keep your clothes in your suitcase. Front desk staff are affable, and generally helpful. Took a couple of attempts to secure an extra blanket. The breakfast buffet is decent at £15, fresh fruit, juices, cereals, plain and chocolate croissants, multiple breads, a toaster, cold cuts, and probably something I've missed. Hi-tech coffee machines serving multiple variations, brewed to order. Splurge for a higher floor and the view over the City is spectacular. The lower floors are calm towards the rear of the building.

I walked into the lobby, out of curiosity, and was really impressed by the furniture and lay out. It gave the impression of high quality while still feeling quite homely. I was greeted by a young man called Lewis, who asked me how my day was going, if I needed any help checking in. After I explained I wasn’t staying in the hotel, he recommended I visit the bar for a cocktail. After a long day at work, this friendly attitude was so inviting and made me feel comfortable and welcome. I had a few drinks and went home happier than when I arrived. Thank you Lewis!

Google
It's true to the Motel One style. Small and basic, yet good quality rooms. Love the lobby for breakfast and just to hang out. Just bear in mind99% German frequent it (it's a German chain). Super service! Friendly and supportive - free tea in the lobby last night and just a nice place to hand out with a very reasonable price.

Google
Over priced for what you get, and I have stayed in central London frequently. The rooms are small with very minimal services. The full height windows means there is no privacy as you are overlooked by an office block. Additionally the windows can't be opened so there is no way to get fresh air in the room. It quickly became clear when we arrived at the hotel that it is a German chain, not an issue in itself, but very much caters for the German market as a result slightly to the detriment of English speakers. For example the program guide on the in room TV was available for the German channels but not the UK stations.

Yelp
This is a basic hotel. The lobby is very fancy with a bar and a Lively scene at night. I arrived at 9:30 and thought I was entering a lounge. The receptionist was professional. The room had no amenities...no refrigerator, mini bar, toiletries etc... The fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning without explanation. We almost evaluated the premises. Shout out to Kofi and the very tall Italian gentleman. They were very nice.

Yelp
Second time to London. The last over 30 years ago. The room was London typical, a lovely king bed and tripping over yourself everywhere else. No closet, no fridge, no ice. Nowhere to put open suitcases. Even closed. Walking to bathroom could break 3 toes stumbling over a suitcase on the floor. Will be back soon and will try another hotel to compare. Lovely hotel lobby. Spent hours there in our down time as room a cubbyhole.

Yelp
One of the best hotel for the price. Motel One London near Tower of London is very close to the top tourists attention. Walk to Tower of London or London Tower Bridge for just minutes. The check in was fast. From the time we walked in to the hotel and to the rooms in less than 10 minutes with 6 rooms we have. The employees here are very nice and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bed is little too soft for me. The shower is excellent. Only one thing I will recommend for the hotel is if they can install USB ports (I cannot found one) in the rooms will be very helpful. Most of the tourists needs USB for their phones or tablets. They have Euro and UK sockets inside the rooms, but no USA sockets! I bring my only adapters. But for customers who did not bring one. An USB charge port is all they needs! Motel One London is the hotel I'll recommend to all my friends and who read this reviews!

Yelp
Why Pay More for Great Design and Service! A Great Choice for London City Visitors Review of Motel One London-Tower Hill Pending review I stayed at this hotel for three nights in May 2018. I was not disappointed. I am familair with Motel-One from Germany, and I will definitely be back at this London location again too. It is n excellent choice for the London City business traveller or London visitor looking for a stylish, happening, and interesting place to stay. The staff are friendly, every-ready to go that extra mile (or kilometer!) to please guests. The amazing buffet breakfast is up to the usual high Motel-One standards I am familiar with from Germany, and the bar options are equally great (toasts, drinks, snacks). My room was clean, spotless, same decor as usual from other Motel-One locations, and I really liked the large number of power outlets in the room - ideal for business travellers and families with mobile devices. A big improvement over the Berlin rooms I have stayed in. I particularly liked the location (close to Tower Hill and Aldgate tube stations) and very close to the best that London has to to offer (Tower of London/Tower Bridge, and so on). Why pay more for great design and service? Awesome! I could choose to stay in much more expensive hotels on my employer's expenses policy, but I don't it's Motel-One every time. The decor is modern, swish, and will resonate with you if you've stayed in Motel-One elsewhere. It's still got that German touch, some of which is quirky - e.g., the Do Not Disturb signs for your room have German language on one side, and when you use your credit card with PIN you're asked to enter it in German! I hope they keep those quirks!

Yelp
This was my third year in a row at Motel One while on a business trip to London and I can't wait for my fourth visit next year. The hotel is still brand new and offers essential but comfortable rooms, absolutely perfect for a few days stay (you also get a decent view if you are staying on the top floors). The lobby area is pretty big and it's a nice place to relax or even work, there's a bar offering various drinks and some basic food which could come handy at times. Breakfast in the morning is continental, but it's worth the extra money as it's rather cheap. Service is great and always handled all our problems and requests promptly. A lot of public transportation options, including DLR, just a few minutes away makes it a perfect spot to go anywhere in London. 100% recommended.

Yelp
I stayed here in December on a work trip to London. It's in a great location and the price is excellent compared to surrounding hotels - less than £100 for the night. Closest tube station is Aldgate but it's less than a 10 minute walk from Bishopsgate / Liverpool Street station. Check in was good and staff were very friendly, explaining the breakfast option, bar area, free wifi etc. all without prompting. I was very happy with my room, it was very clean, well laid out and bigger than I was expecting. The bed was large - but it's two singles pushed together not one big bed which kind of bugs me but I'm not sure you can expect any more from a budget type chain? There was a small desk with seating and still room to move around. The ensuite was really good, a nice big walk in shower with a rainfall shower head. With shampoo and shower gel provided. Breakfast is extra £8.50 I think and is continental in style (no fry ups here!) but they do have boiled eggs. Lots of bread, rolls, muffins etc. A great selection of cereals, fruit, juices and meat and cheeses too. I was very happy with the food and would add this on if I stayed at the hotel for business again. I like the concept of this hotel chain and I'm glad my first experience was so good, Motel One I'd happily stay with you again :)

Yelp
Stayed for 4 nights visiting from Seattle and found it to be a great stay. I suspect they're not the only hotel in town with small rooms, no phones in the rooms, and some unique electricity limitations (must use card to keep lights on, and no regular electrical outlet in the bathroom), but I assume that must be a British standard I'm not used to. Their breakfast is better than most I've experienced, it's just a little pricey at £10 per. Location was great and the ambiance and quality of the hotel itself was very nice. Overall, I would stay here again!

Yelp
I booked this cozy hotel for a business trip on the recommendation of a colleague. I was told in advance the rooms are tiny, so I was prepared. If you can imagine the tiniest room possible, you will need to imagine smaller than that. At best there is two feet of space between the bed and each of the three walls. The design is clever, taking advantage of every space. The room has a few strategically placed bars to hang clothing, as the room does not contain a closet or drawers. The lighting is integrated into the walls and paneling. The lamps attached to the bed framing do have switches, although they are difficult to find. The bathroom is designed to use space economically as well, with only a stand up shower. A hair dryer is provided in the room and an iron with a ironing board is available upon request. You may wish to consider ironing all of your clothes on arrival and returning the iron, it takes up precious space! The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, never too busy to answer questions. Communication can be a bit of a challenge as English is spoken, some with a heavier accent than others. The location is fantastic, right in the Financial District near the tube lines. I do recommend this cozy hotel if you are traveling alone on a budget.

Yelp
The elevator is not really quite: We had a room not in front of the doors but heard it when moving even when it didn't stop on our floor. The room was good, but too small for a couple with two big suitcases. We couldn't open the window.

Yelp
The hotel room is clean and the lobby area is suitable. There is Internet connectivity but no phone in the room so if anything happens, you're out of luck getting any help. There is no laundry service. There is no ironing board in the room - and without a phone you have no choice but go down to the front desk to get one. There are no amenities in the room except a "for everything" soap/shampoo dispenser. Your room key is required for any power so you can't leave anything to be charged when you go out. There is a "for fee" continental breakfast - which in most European hotels is included. Housekeeping came very late in the day so even if you were out all day and wanted to come back, chances are they are in your room. Head of housekeeping makes the rounds every day. She taps on the door while simultaneously opening it and walking in - this one almost gave them a -1 star rating. I couldn't be more furious with the everyday barging unannounced into my room. She doesn't even give me time to respond and she's in the room. It is unacceptable. The hotel location is far from most of London's sights except the Tower bridge & London Tower so be prepared to walk. I am here on business for 2 weeks and I found this hotel unsuitable for that amount of time. I think it would be great for a night or two - maybe 3 tops. For a 2-week stay, I would give it a single star. I gave it 3 because I think it would be suitable for a shorter stay. Keep in mind that it is clean and relatively new with a very minimalist Scandinavian look which is nice.

Yelp
Like most Motel One outfits, it is light on the amenities, but the decor and architecture are very inviting. The endorphin-blue interiors and warm lighting, bathing everything in this place with a comforting glow really make it easy to relax. Chatting with the bartender while sipping drinks at the bar, having tea in the lobby in the wonderful overstuffed chairs, or just people-watching through the large glass windows out front make this a comfy place: till you get to your room. The rooms here are lovely--but small! There is very little space to walk around in them, and despite the INCREDIBLE panoramic view I had of the Gherkin and the surrounding London urban landscape ( from my 12th floor corner-room with gigantic full-length windows on two of four walls!), I found it uncomfortable to stay in the room for more than a couple of hours per day. But the view from that room is unforgettable, and after a day out, I had no problem staying in and enjoying it at night with the lights of the city aglow ... One major architectural flaw is that the check-in desk is immediately off the elevator hallway. Especially if you have been called to the part of the desk which is the furthest in (toward the elevators) you'll be in the way of people going to or getting off the elevators. If you're the one getting on or off the lift, expect to play dodge-the-suitcases-and-travel-bags just about each time. This is the one difference between this Motel One and others, like the one in Vienna just off the Westbahnhof, the public spaces of which are much roomier. Finally, though, considering its location, Motel One 24-26 Minories, London, is still a bargain.

Yelp
They lost my reservation and 'couldn't accommodate me' even though I arrived at midnight from New York, Place is gross....don't stay there.
