Hotel Motel One Wien-Hauptbahnhof

The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are clean but that’s where the positives end. The rooms lack basic amenities no complimentary water no coffee or tea and not even a wardrobe. It felt very bare for a hotel stay. The biggest issue however is the service at reception. The staff came across as completely unbothered and unfriendly. During check-out, we weren’t asked anything. The only thing the receptionist said was “That’s it.” I’m still not sure what that was supposed to mean but it definitely didn’t feel welcoming or professional. Based on our experience, I would give 0 for the service. The reception staff often looked annoyed, almost as if guests were an inconvenience. If you truly dislike working with people, this may not be the right field for you. Guests deserve at least the bare minimum of courtesy, especially when they are trying to relax or enjoy a holiday. That said, the ladies working at breakfast were the exception. They were hardworking, friendly and genuinely made guests feel welcome. They clearly care about their jobs and about the guests and they deserve recognition. Overall clean rooms but very poor service at reception which unfortunately ruined much of the stay.

Good location for train connection, a bit far from city center but with convenient public transportation connections. Room is a bit small, but very comfortable. Cleanliness was not great, there was some hair in the bathroom area. While entering, staff made us wait almost an hour due to some shift change, it was not nice since we have limited time of vacation why would we want to wait to enter a ready room because of some system issues.. But when we were leaving there were different staff and they were super friendly. Overall, if we travel again to Vienna with train, and airport has also very easy and fast connection with train station, we can choose the hotel for good value.

Motel One Vienna makes a very strong first impression. As soon as you enter the hotel, the lobby looks modern, stylish, and welcoming. The bar on the left, reception on the right, and the central lift area give the space a cozy yet luxurious feel. Downstairs, the design is really well done and creates high expectations. However, the experience changes once you go upstairs. When you exit the lift and walk through the corridors, the atmosphere feels completely different. The corridors feel old and tired, completely different from the ground floor. The room is small, outdated, and extremely basic, with no amenities such as a safe or fridge. While it may be acceptable for a very short stay, the contrast between the lobby and the rooms is disappointing. The good thing about this hotel is location and view from the room

The most arrogant welcome u get when u reach to the hotel . People working in the reception talk to u like u came to ask for a free service and free stay .when we finally reached hotel felling tired and to get relaxed and enjoy our vacation but the staffs behave like u r praising for free stay . Of course, there are good things also hotel at good location , rooms are cleaned and breakfast staffs make u feel good with there service and smiley face. I didn’t stay for 1 day ,for 3 days and there are not hot water boiler not even a bottle of water for clients, when u go to reception to ask for a water bottle they say u have to buy it urself in the bar , they don’t have room services and no phone to contact to the reception ‘’. I as a guest humbely request staffs of reception and bar .To behave ur guest feel good and talk nicely, in my point of view u guys are not loving ur job. Guest come to ur hotel and make it to fell like their home for short time but its very important that you guys need to respect and be welcoming .

Good location, clean rooms, friendly staff. The design is modern, beds are comfortable, and access to transport is excellent (located near Wien Hbf). That said, I feel the hotel is way overpriced for what it delivers. The room size is on the smaller side, amenities are minimal, and though the breakfast is okay, the selection isn’t particularly rich considering how much it costs. For what you pay per night, I’d expect more spacious rooms and more in-room features. So while I wouldn’t say it’s a bad hotel, it doesn’t quite live up to the value you might expect from the price tag.

A nice hotel near the station. A large reception area, not very well lit. The room was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed. It had a small sofa and desk . The bathroom was clean and had a good shower. The breakfast was a cold buffet, no hot choices.

Wanted to book an extra night after a business trip, the organizer booked a large amount of rooms for us in the hotel already. . Should have been really easy, but no answer to numerous emails or calls : do they even have staff? Worst customer service i have ever experienced. I had to book somewhere else

Excellent location right across from Vienna's Central Rail Station. Very reasonably priced, compact, clean rooms. A nice lobby with a bar, outside seating and a courtyard. Comfortable bed and a nice shower. There are many coffee shops (cafes) and restaurants nearby. The train station has over 90 shops and restaurants just across the street. There's two markets and a nice laundromat within two to three blocks. A great spot to explore Vienna from!
