The 'hotel-motel’ designation seems to register the fact that there is both a large, impressive building (probably a former residence) with individual rooms and some low-rise building nearby with different kinds of units, some with kitchenettes. We stayed in rooms in the main building that were very comfortable, although the set-up was a bit unusual: each room had a small sink and toilet, but guests in 3-4 rooms shared a bath/shower down the hall (which was roomy and clean). The place was quiet, and we had no trouble with crowding or competition for the bathroom. ||The “Rocher Percé” is the famous giant pierced rock formation just offshore, and the hotel is very near to the bustling center of Percé from which the rock can be viewed, sightseeing boats can be boarded, and a number of good restaurants can be found. The hotel offers a protected free parking area (essential - parking is at a premium in the area during the high season). ||We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the welcoming vibe established in the colorful lobby. One point to bear in mind: our rooms did not have mini-fridges, coffee makers, or microwaves, so be sure to check the amenities of the type of room you book if any of those things is important to you. However, there is in the main building a kitchen used by owners/staff in which you could ask to store something in the refrigerator or use the microwave.
