Hotel Movich Casa del Alferez

Wonderful hotel located in one of the best neighborhoods in Cali. Close to some of the best restaurants and nightlife in town. The hotel has a quaint quality about it with beautiful wooden floors. The vest part is the breakfast.. it probably the best I've ever had in a hotel.

Well, this is a business and leisure hotel where you can prepare yourself for business meetings at the north of the city, nearby are places where you can chill after business hours, I always enjoy my stay here.

Stayed here during COP16. The hotel is located in a convenient location, so that was quite good. The staff at the hotel barely speak any English, which is fine, but it's a bit difficult to communicate with them. The food at the restaurant is pretty basic and the service is super super slow. Wait times for over 30 minutes for food to come which wasn't great given we had such a tight schedule for COP. They also jacked up the prices since it was COP. But that was expected.

Movich Casa del Alferez is a hidden gem! The ambiance is a perfect blend of charm and modern comfort. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The rooms are beautifully designed, and the views from the terrace are breathtaking. Plus, the restaurant offers delicious local cuisine that’s not to be missed. A perfect spot for a relaxing getaway! Highly recommend!

The hotel itself is a 5, attractive, charming with nicely created rooms and suites. The small street it sits on is not noisy and the building has good insulation assuring a good night's sleep. We would not hesitate to stay here again. ||But the restaurant in the hotel is a bit disappointing. Meeting the standards of the hotel's aesthetic appeal; the restaurant needs better management. It is not well organized.||We did not explore eating in nearby restaurants; but could be an option for those seeking a more sophisticated level of service

Excellent location in the northern portion of Cali. Many restaurants within walking distance. Very safe and comfortable feeling. Delicious breakfast every morning. Pleasant and friendly staff. Great value. I would recommend and I would stay again.

Truly incredible hotel where everything works like a charm. Located in a perfectly maintained old colonial building, the hotel is on a local street, very convenient for going out, but quiet. the rooms are spacious, absolutely comfortable and well maintained. In addition, the hotel restaurant is of a very good standard, offering a wide choice of excellently executed dishes between local and international cuisine. The only downside is the gym, which is practically non-existent.

UPDATED REVIEW: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I initially rated the hotel 3 stars due to issues with broken curtains and door lock in Room 105. However, I'm delighted to update my review to 5 stars. The hotel staff went above and beyond to address the problems. They made several attempts to fix the curtains and, when unsuccessful, promptly moved me to another room, which turned out to be much better. The immediate action taken to resolve the issue was truly appreciated. Special mention to Leider, who not only followed through on my request but also helped me move my belongings to the new room. He ensured that the curtains in the new room were fully closable. He's a nice guy. The staff's dedication and assistance were exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel for its great price, excellent location, and, most importantly, its amazing staff. Also, the breakfast options were really good! 👍 ORIGINAL REVIEW: 🌟🌟🌟 The hotel is decent and in a pleasant area; the staff is friendly, and common areas are well-kept. However, deductions in stars are due to a few issues: 1) Curtains don't fully close. 2) The bottom lock of the glass door leading to a patio is broken. 3) The bathroom is outdated, and water leaks from one faucet control. I feel unsafe because my room is visible from outside (curtains won't fully close, and patio door lock is broken), I reported the issues. It took some time for them to send someone. A helpful staff member attempted to fix the curtain but couldn't, promising further assistance. Another staff member arrived later, but I had to leave for dinner. I still have a few days here; let's see if they address these concerns tomorrow or offer a different room without issues. I'll keep you posted.
