Very good restaurant and beach. Very private and chill vibes if you are looking for a low-key place for you and your family. I recommend the Mojarra frita if you like fried fish. It's delicious!

This hotel is located on the best beach of the island. It has a nice structure and a very good chef in the kitchen. Unfortunately it is a text book example of how NOT to run a hotel. The receptionist is just about the unfriendliest person on earth who does not know how to smile or great. The waiters at breakfast are permanently on the phone while buffet items run out or coffee cups are empty. The manager is non-existent, during our entire stay he was nowehre to be seen, does not answer the phone and does not read his whatsapp messages. When finally we got a hold of him we found out that he does not speak English at all. Unfortunately we also found out the hard way that most of the rooms seem to have problems with hot water meaning that for 2 days in a row we had to take cold showers until we insisted to change rooms. No one cared, no one took care of the issue and no one showed any sing of trying to compensate us. Not even a bottle of water we got, not even an apology. For the prices charged warm water must be "included" in the rate and not be an optional feature like we were told. Too bad, the location is amazing but staff and non - existent management make this place a really bad experience. Be warned if you go there, nobody cares and there is no hot water!

Run, don't walk away from this place! It'sin need of a l9t of maintenance. We checked in 1/2/24 and were given a room where the outletsdidn'twork, the toilet didn't flush and was not taken care of. They gave us another room the next day where the door was broken into, the sliding glass door would only close from the outside because it was so rusted. The breakfast buffet is Very limited. It's located about 20 from the city center. The only thing it has in it's favor is the beach.

Our expectations were definitely different. The photos presented in the description of the hotel should be renewed immediately because the deterioration in which the hotel is found, is not observed in what Expedia sells. Although we were accommodated in a room with a sea view, the door of the room was difficult to open/close. The safety deposit box did not work and although we asked for help at the front desk, they never sent us the requested support. The refrigerator in the room was very rusty and deteriorated (although it worked). The food in the restaurant was average, when it was available. Due to the location of the hotel there were no other options nearby for dinner (only for lunch) and with a very limited menu, it is incredible to hear that there is no seafood (when you are on an island). Every night we had to ask which of the dishes were available. The hotel has no wifi in any room, nor in the common areas and it is a service offered in the description. The beach was dirty (plastic waste) and there was a high accumulation of seaweed on the shore, which may be normal for the season, but in our opinion, it should have been picked up by the hotel staff, however it was increasing every day. On the beach there were only chairs for guests, no umbrellas (these had to be paid for separately from a private person) and no beach towels were offered.

Stayed for two nights in may, the hotel is okay but a tad overpriced. Breakfast is really good, although coffee is terrible. Rooms are fine, with AC, mini bar and nice beds, although they could use a bit more maintenance. Had problems with water at night, and the hotel has no potable water to drink from, so be aware of that.||It has a nice beach front, with chairs, umbrellas and a bar. ||However, what made me put it only 2 stars is the management. It's horrible, only the night shift was somewhat okay. They didn't inform us of anything, for example closing hours for the restaurant. It closes at 9 pm (really early for some tourists) and we had no idea of that, even the receptionist seemed unaware of that fact when we asked him. They gave us no indications of where we could eat, or what to do around town. They messed up something as simple as making a taxi reservation for the airport at night, so we had to rush to get one.||It's really far from the town center (20 mins by cab), and there is only one restaurant next to it to go to (no shops or anything else around) so bear that in mind when thinking about renting a room here.

The view is amazing, i enjoyed my stay..However, it is overpriced.. The rooms are rusty, doors hard to open and close, the towels smell. Food and Drinks overpriced. Go Downtown if you want to eat to a more reasonable price. Also i don't understand why they charge a fee for you to go to a dirty place. The beaches are not clean and the island looks kind of abandoned in most places. Also the people seems to be overwhelm. No costumer service skills.

To be clear: I did not stay at the hotel but enjoyed the lovely Beach from the chairs of this hotel. They are free the use if you are consuming from the bar. Prices are very reasonable. We also had food here and the portions were big and tasty. Recommended if you want to enjoy the best beach of Sam Andrès!

I should have listened to the poor reviews. We showed up a little early, around 1pm. We were told check in wasn't until 3pm on the dot. We waited until 3pm and went back to the front desk where we were told our room wasn't ready. The hotel was mostly empty mind you. We had to wait another 30 minutes while they cleaned our room. Their excuse? The people before us were having so much fun they didn't want to leave, yet we never saw anyone check out, and regardless why should that be my problem? There was no apology given.||The beach was covered in trash and seaweed, they made no effort to keep it clean. There were stray dogs wondering the beach as well, in addition, these stray dogs liked to hang out in the hotels restaurant and be fed by inconsiderate guests. ||Our room had a sliding glass door that couldn't be locked, anyone could have walked up and let themselves in. In my opinion this was an unacceptable security risk. I ended up shoving a dresser drawer on the track so it couldn't be opened. ||The shower and sink water had the scent of sewage in it. Gross.||In the end, we checked out a day early. The front desk worker asked if we had an issue with the hotel and we said yes. We were met with silence, indicating they really didn't care. The worst part of all of this was we moved to a luxury hotel for 50 dollars more a night, so you're really not saving any money by going to Hotel MS. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this hotel.
