I’ve stayed at Hotel Mulberry many times over my year and a half backpacking and volunteering in Nepal. It has truly become my home base in Kathmandu. Every stay has been consistently wonderful. ||What really makes Hotel Mulberry special is the people! The staff are not only professional and attentive, but also genuinely warm and caring. On my most recent visit, I experienced some very difficult personal circumstances. I had to extend my Neapal stay as the father of my host family in Nagarkot was very ill and eventually passed. The kindness of the staff, especially the manager Niraj, left a lasting impression. They checked in on me by WhatsApp throughout the month. When my host father finally passed and I had to quickly return to Kathmandu. They immediately made sure I was comfortable, and offered a level of compassion that went far beyond what I expected. It was exactly what I needed at the time, and I’ll never forget their support.||Another thing I love about this hotel is the atmosphere. You can feel the excitement of travelers preparing for their treks, and at the same time, it’s easy to find a quiet corner to yourself. I’ve even met a few inspiring people by the poolside bar, including travelers on their way to summit Everest!||I can honestly say that Hotel Mulberry will always be my first choice when I return to Kathmandu. The rooms are spotless, the beds are very comfortable, and there’s a calmness that feels like such a relief after being in the middle of busy Thamel. The rooftop pool is stunning. It is a perfect spot to relax before or after trekking and I also appreciated their well-equipped workout room when I wanted to stay active. Above all, it’s a place where you’re made to feel truly welcome.
