Nice hotel on the outskirts of Guadix. The interior design is perhaps not very advanced, but the rooms and the beds are very confortable, and the price is very good making an excellent value-for-money option. The bars serves really nice typical Spanish breakfasts.

The staff were helpful. The Hotel clean and tidy. Our room was a little on the small side and very warm although Air Condition Unit was on the wall and very efficient. Some times we needed "Fresh Air" and opening the window we were adjacent to the main road into Guadix, which was very noisy and over looked a Petrol Station. The bed was hard, the shower unit required fixing and was to be replaced. There was no coffee/tea making felicities in the room and trips required to the bar for morning coffee to return to the room. Midday, "Meal of the day", the restaurant was full but in the evening was all but closed. The bar was busy and the 2 staff very friend and again very helpful. I think the timing of our visit may have had something to do with the restaurant being closed in the evening. Free Wi-Fi but we believe there was a charged for car parking. The week of our stay day temperature 22c, evenings 10c. The day following our return to the UK, it SNOWED. Overall acceptable but could do with a new mattress on the bed. .

We booked this hotel on the same day as we were travelling from Valencia to Tarifa. The drive in is very picturesque. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable. We arrived late and ate in the restaurant, which was delicious and the chef very hospitable. Great atmosphere and very reasonable price for both accomodation and food. Would definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant.

The most amazing service ever! We had the hotel booked for a trip related to the balloon experience. We had to cancel three times in a row, and the gentleman at the reception went above and beyond to make the necessary changes for us to be able to stay at the hotel.

We stopped at Guadix while walking the Camino Mozárabe from Almería to Granada, and chose the Mulhacen as a place to stay after a day of dismal wet weather. We were pleased. The hotel is located a few minutes' walk from the historic centre of Guadix but the walk was no problem. Our room was most comfortable and well priced. The air conditioning/heating worked brilliantly. Reception was friendly.

We were traveling back to Madrid from Garrucha and made a sudden stop in Guadix. We stopped for gas and realized we wanted to stay the night! Looked up and saw the sign, the making of a great stop over. The rooms were newly remodeled and the staff was beyond AWESOME!||Showers didn't have doors or curtains which was a little odd but still functional!||I absolutely want to return. The town was charming, historic and captured my heart.

Nice little 2* hotel - good value for money. Clean room - comfy beds and only a 10 minute easy walk to the cathedral.

Clean and spacious rooms. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Good prices. You must try the bar: definitely some interesting people, good tapas, beer and breakfast
