Hotel Murano

"For glass lovers, this is the place to go, with each of the trendy but exquisite floors of the glass-and-concrete structure dedicated to a different glass artist. The lobby has white-terrazzo flooring and black-wool carpeting. Beautiful and comfortable rooms are wrapped in off-white walls and have pewter accents, rich wood, white bedding, and violet lamps. In the lobby, a Venetian chandelier and multicolored Viking boats are suspended from the ceiling. At Bite Restaurant, the menu mixes Continental fare with Pacific Northwest accents, the lighting changes with each meal, and its blue bar glows."

Absolutely love this hotel. Every floor features a different artist and the art around the hotel is spectacular. The rooms are very spacious and the amenities are great!! Prime location and a quick walk to the convention center. Book the ROOM!!!! All the staff provided excellent customer service.

Fantastic stay! The best place to stay in the area. Walkable to great dining options (Over the Moon cafe, Wooden City, Third Space Coffee etc.) - cool vibe to the place with their art and large lobby with nice bar. Comfortable beds and bedding! Great views of the area from the rooms and service was excellent from the moment we arrived to departure, thank you!

Where do I even start!? I got put here through a twist of fate, and immediately was drawn into a world of Art that has been beyond inspirational. Having a salon on site, a spa, a gallery gift shop, an ATM?? Tops!! My favorite piece about the Hotel Murano has by far been the front desk staff and the staff of the restaurant, BITE. I love that the menu makers have chosen to focus on fresh and local, seasonal ingredients. We immediately felt our health improve choosing to "eat in", and the beautiful warmth of the restaurant, combined with the servers and management, has made our stay feel less like an evacuation and more like home with family. The way we get to interact with those who are learning our names and preferences has made us feel taken care of in a human way that absolutely no technology or automation could ever replace... That being said, I wish these amazing folks in the hospitality sector were being better taken care of by the new managers and owners of Hotel Murano. I am incredibly disappointed at the non-functioning state of the business center, as I am someone who works from home and owns a primarily online business, with clients around the world and a schedule that varies greatly. I was not able to fax something or print something when I needed to, though the front desk was able to help me print. The phones that are meant to dial out, only dial the front desk and are not routed to the outside. There's also several nonfunctional panels in the elevator carriages, and apparently the freight elevator the banquet staff must use to serve, has been down for 8 months so they have to go from floor to floor and spend extra time and energy pushing extremely heavy carts to serve... They say it's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it. But shifting that responsibility onto those doing manual labor, will have far reaching outcomes when seasoned staff get broken down and burnt out. If I could say one urgent and appealing thing to the owners of this hotel, As a former customer service manager and worker in the hospitality section, it would be to get your things fixed. Then let your front desk staff know who they get to contact for IT and electrical/engineering issues. Also? Acrylic pour and Sims are not my idea of beautiful decor, but I'm just a multidisciplinary artist from Oklahoma lol.

Good room rate, clean enough. Location was central to everything we needed and easy to park and get around with rental car. Lobby bathrooms and bar are super nice. Rooms have full size beds... would have expected queens and there is more than enough space in rooms, seems like a short cut 🤔

Google
meh... underwhelmed for the price. zero counterspace in the bathroom (probably my biggest complaint), too much perfume in the lobby, TV remote wasn't working well, trash was left in hallway for days, walls in the room looked splattered in places... staff at the desk were friendly and helpful, views from 15th floor were nice.

My stay was exceptional at the Murano with the warm and friendly staff all around. I highly recommend this hotel even when traveling alone. There are many guests coming and going but people move smoothly throughout the property.

Located in downtown Tacoma, WA., convenient and easy to find. Plenty of parking with several EV charging stations. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and nice artworks located throughout the main lobby and every floor! Staff is helpful, polite, and friendly. The bar is nicely situated on the main floor. The bar staff are excellent! Rooms are spacious and expertly cleaned. Some of the floor carpets areas are a bit worn and could be replaced, but that is the only negative comment I have about this excellent hotel.

Google
Positive: The room itself was large, lovely and had a great view. It was in a perfect location for where I was headed for one of the two days. Staff was very friendly and wanted to be of service. Negative: A VERY loud noise, which sounded like a plane landing overhead or a very, very large fan, existed for the whole 38 hours I had the room. It was intermittent about 20-30 per hour. I told the nice guys at the front desk, but never heard back.

Yelp
We stayed here for our off time (we drive trucks). Check in was smooth and quick. The elevator does go fast so be prepared to feel a little bit of pressure while going up or going down. We stayed in a king bed room, and the room was clean and tidy. They have a bowl like sink, so when washing hands or face, water does go everywhere on the counter. They have a restaurant/bar inside. We didn't try the food, but we did get drinks and they were good. service was good as well. We didn't get to try out any of the amenities because we were only staying for one night. Overall, it's a nice hotel that's not too expensive.

Yelp
The only good thing I could say about my. stay, is the front desk people were very responsive. But the hotel is seriously lacking in housekeeping, maintaining the building and it's accommodations The room phone did not work. Call the front desk and told him about it. They sent out a technician and technician told us that all the rooms are like that because they're not used anymore or they can't replace the batteries on the handset Furniture scratched in gouged The cleaning that is not up to par whatsoever You have to request housekeeping every morning Loose, or broken items throughout the room They're using very old items. Still trying to maintain that old legacy of the hotel but it needs a face lift. There is no pool whatsoever

Yelp
This is my first time staying at Hotel Murano but my second time attending a conference at this location. Upon entering the lobby, you are hit with beautiful glass artwork, with each floor providing a themed piece of artwork as well. From the comments of my coworkers, the 7th floor art piece is a sight to see. Customer service was great! They came in clutch with a print job that we needed. The business room which houses two desktops and a printer were great offers, however, their printer was not allowing me to print. Though staff mentioned it was free to use, I couldn't print whatsoever. In lieu of that, the front desk staff offered to print it themselves. Overall, all of the workers I've had the chance of interacting were wonderful! Cannot say anything bad whatsoever! The reason that they get a 3 star from me is because they really need to remodel and fix their rooms, or at least the one that I had. The room we had was very spacious, however, there were things that were very suspect. Having two toddlers with us, I always check the room for any items that could hurt them. The coffee table was certainly a disaster waiting to happen, kid or no kid. The top of the table (see one of the photos provided) is made of glass, however, it isn't anchored to the wooden part of the table. I was in the process of moving the table somewhere else when lo and behold, the glass top slightly slid off. Other issues I found during our two day stay: - Bathroom issues: One of the bathrooms (we had two) wasn't functioning. The toilet, for one, did not flush. Secondly, the outlet to this same bathroom did not hold my hairdryer plug well. The plug kept falling out of the outlet because of how loose it was. The shower head was rusty too. - Dining table: Previous guests spilled coffee on the table. Because the top of the table is made of glass and it sits on wood, the coffee dripped in between the glass and the wood. Pretty gross wiping the sides since it wasn't wiped down at all. - Door: I found it weird that the door didn't have a latch because every hotel I ever stayed in had it. In particular to this, the room I stayed in was near the stairs. I've heard of horror stories so having that latch would have helped with my anxiety. After mentioning this to my coworkers, they all mentioned that their doors had the latch. - Elevator: Management should consider using guest keycards for elevator use. Anyone can come and go on the floors which is not very safe. This is certainly not a bad thing and seems to be new from my last visit last year. They now have a vending machine on the bottom floor- where the conference are held- with medication such as Aleve, etc. And if you want some hanky panky, condoms are also available for purchase in the vending machine.

Yelp
Underwhelming for starters, feels like they put a larger amount of money into making the entry/lobby/lobby bar feel fancy. Then they thought a touch screen elevator was important, the elevators take forever. Then you get to the room after your fancy touchscreen elevator trip and it's basically a motel 6 room with a 20 something inch flat screen tv from 2007. The towels feel more like sandpaper rags, the showerhead feels like it's in "misting" mode. The beds are "comfortable when tired" but in reality not even close to as impressive as the lobby lol I wasn't planning on leaving a review despite not enjoying my stay these last 3 days however when asking if I could get a late checkout since I have a very late flight, I was told no because "housekeeping said so". Not even offered another option like paying a fee for a late checkout or at least being offered the extra hour like almost every other hotel Ive stayed in. To sum it up, this place is a disguised motel charging mid tier hotel prices. Don't bother staying here, there's nicer hotels nearby that are roughly the same price or cheaper

Yelp
Such a lovely hotel, with amazing Mountain views! Parking was a bit of a hassle to figure out (+ $30 a night) but we loved the restaurant on the 4th floor. You can also walk right across the street to Ebony and Ivory coffee. Would definitely stay again.

Yelp
-Not worth the money at all. -Feels more like a motel. -Staff made you feel like an inconvenience -Had to go floor to floor to find an ice machine that worked -Only water they offer is a small dispenser in the lobby -Shower head was broken -Just grody rooms in general The lobby looks nice at first glance but the couches were also grimy, 10/10 would not come back for how much they charge.

Yelp
The room I had on Thursday night was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I've ever slept in before. The only positive thing about my stay was the bed was very comfortable.

Yelp
Very disappointing stay after a great first stay last time.....STILL have not received my deposit back and its been 16 days since i checked out, but the managed to take $86 in parking fees when I very clearly stated I would not. My stay at Hotel Murano for New years from December 31, 2024, to January 3, 2025, was extremely disappointing. Despite the beautiful decor in the lobby and upstairs areas, my experience was overshadowed by rude staff, hidden fees, poor cleanliness, and ignored concerns. **The Issues:** 1. **Hidden Parking Fees:** I was not informed of the $26 per night parking fee when booking. Hotel Murano only offers one parking lot; otherwise, you must park on the street, which is free only from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., requiring daily car relocations. As someone with severe asthma, this was impossible for me. When I texted the staff before my stay, they were dismissive, telling me to check the "Frequently Asked Questions." When I suggested this fee should be clearly disclosed during booking, they stopped responding. I emailed the manager one or two days before my stay but received no reply before, during, or after my stay. Forced to pay $78 for parking over three days, my partner parked on the street and had his car broken into, losing all his belongings, including a suitcase. 2. **Unclean Room:** The room was not cleaned properly. There was glass on the carpet and under the bathroom sink, which I discovered when I dropped my makeup. The coffee maker was moldy, making it unusable, and as someone with asthma, this posed a health risk. 3. **Dirty Lounge:** The lounge was dirty and unstocked despite multiple complaints. I paid extra for lounge access, yet the conditions were unacceptable, there was literally a giant pot of cereal in the drawer? Amongst a huge mess 2+ days straight. The Staff:* The front desk staff were dismissive and even gossiped about my friend and me within earshot. I am also confused as to why I paid for three nights when the offer I was sent was buy 2 get 1 night free? Was also supposed to be comped for not having room service all three days and never was.

Yelp
The Hotel Murano lobby is beautiful. But otherwise, the place is a tired, not too clean disappointment. Great view, but the windows are grimey. The vents are covered in black dust. My bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke, and the room smelled like nursing home cleaner. The patron lounge is just a big room with a mini fridge of cans of soft drinks and a then a couple single serve packages of cookies or chips. I thought parking was included, but no. $26 per day, or simply find free downtown parking. There's ample within walking distance. This hotel is overpriced and shabby. Stay at Elks Temple Hotel instead!

Yelp
The hotel has this funky vibe with great art/glass all around. The bar area is very cool and the restaurant "Bites" is mediocre at best with a limited menu. We stayed here about 10-11 years ago and loved it. Really looked forward to returning. It looks like nothing has been done to this facility in a decade. Here's where the problems start - we entered in the lower floor from the parking lot. The carpet at the entrance was ragged and lumpy, dirty and kinda' gross. The reception area is fine. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Got onto the elevator, nice glass art in the elevator but it was cracked. Only one of the 2 touch screens for getting to your floor was working. The carpets on our floor were clearly old and stained. Now comes the room. I rarely notice/complain about these things but this was an amalgam of issues one would not expect from a "hip, boutique" hotel. If this was one or two things, fine, let it slide. Here are the things I experienced in our room: 1.) Carpet was stained and worn 2.) Cabinet hinge was broken and cabinets were banged up and chipped 3.) Coffee machine lid broken 4.) Hole in the ceiling 5.) Have black-out curtains but no other sheer curtains behind them (despite clearly having the curtain rods to accommodate) 6.) the couch was stained in several places 7.) No matter how low you turned the A/C the room stayed too warm It seems that this hotel has skated on its reputation and done nothing to maintain/upgrade the facilities/rooms Doubt we'll be back.

Yelp
It was all I could do not to steal the pillows at Hotel Murano in Tacoma! I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Murano last night after assisting with an evening event in Gig Harbor and was so pleased. I am a big fan of boutique hotels, and this one did not disappoint. Here are just a few reasons for my happy review, let's start from the start: As a woman, they provide ample and safe parking. The security guard on staff was perfectly professional. Just saying, especially when arriving after 10:00pm last night, he made me feel I was safe without coming across as forbidding or unwelcome. The entrance into the hotel from the parking area is spacious, well lit and filled with lovely displays of incredible glass artwork. FYI: The entire hotel is a glass art museum! The gal at the front desk smiled. She was both efficient and genuinely seemed happy to see me. Remember, this was after 10:00! Like many hotels, but still worth mentioning, you have the added security of needing your room key to dash up the elevator. The groovy bar, across from the check-in area, is spacious without feeling like it is a warehouse. My bartender/server was so sweet. Perfectly attentive without hovering. What was his name??? I will call tomorrow to find out and add it in. I upgraded to a King Corner Room, and it was still REALLY REASONABLE! The bed was heaven! The pillows were heaven! The windows were fabulous, and the blackout curtains were even better! I am pretty sure there were people in the rooms next to me, but I could not hear them. Delightful robes! And an umbrella in every room! It is the Pacific Northwest for goodness' sake! Super Clean! Yay!

Yelp
Horrible! Room smelled like smoke. Refrigerator broken. They had to replace. Then I turned on tv static and no reception. They sent security up who could do nothing. No apology. Mom and pop shop gone wrong. Don't bother

Yelp
During a three day power outage my husband and I were looking to get warm. There weren't any local hotels available, so we traveled a little further to Hotel Murano in Tacoma. I am so glad we did. They were so kind, letting us check in super early and waving the early check in fee. We had a King suite that was clean, quiet, comfy with great views. Everyone was very kind and supportive. I can't thank them enough and highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! Here is the list of things wrong with my room, which they claim was an "executive room." There was a leak in my ceiling and the building engineer said "I don't see anything wrong." The desk clerk checked the pipes above my room and guess what, there was a massive leak. The sink had a softball sized crack. The bathtub was broken. The curtains were ripped away from the rod. The furniture was stained. And there was a massive crack in the glass of the elevator. So that was all super fun. When the desk clerk finally found the leak, they moved me to a much smaller room next to the ice machine, which sounded like fireworks going off all night. I will never go back.

Jessica M.

Yelp
I loved this hotel! But I've run into an issue with my deposit being returned on a timely manner. I stated there April 29th, it is now May 16th going into a 3 day weekend and I still haven't had the $75 put back on my card. To add insult to injury they tested a 1 cent transaction which processed!!! The reason a week ago was that it somehow got stuck in their system. Do I need to go sit in the lobby to get my money back,?? This is ridiculous!!

M H.

Yelp
No hot water. The restaurant is small and has endlessly long wait times. The staff is rude. They blamed it all on the conference being held at the same time, but it's a hotel attached to a conference center!! How can that possibly be an excuse? Overpriced for not so nice.
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
Well there's so much I can say but I'll just say Patty on the 25th floor snack room is amazing and the management went above and beyond to make my stay memorable definitely that and I look forward to another stay to post more. Parking was easy check in was easy but the night staff check in could have educated me more on amenities and the evening security was great chasing out ruff raft. It's not an easy job. But the management did well. The view was impressive and my stay was non forgettable to say the least. I'd definitely recommend staying here the location is so center point of the city and again the management went out of their way to make everything right. Btw the lemongrass soap smells amazing. What a beautiful hotel. A true asset to Tacoma

Yelp
Our room was dirty. The curtains were ripped in multiple places. The window sills were dirty. The vents for the airflow were cracked and covered in dust. The desk was not wiped down, you could see fingerprints on everything. On arriving I picked up one of the pieces of glassware provided and there were chunks of things in it, lipstick smears (I wish I got a pic of this, but was so grossed out). I immediately had to find a house cleaner to change out all of the glassware. The paper cups appeared used and stained as if rinsed and placed back.I pulled back the bedding and there were stains all over the mattress which looked like urine stains. We left as soon as we woke (530 AM), not because we needed to, but because the room was gross.

Yelp
This was a great dog-friendly hotel. I believe it's the old Sheraton. It's nicely remodeled with lots of art everywhere. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean; even the grout was very clean. The lobby bar is great. The Patron Suite has 180 degree views of commencement bay and Mt Rainier. There's a "CVS vending machine" if you forgot the types of things you might need at CVS like a toothbrush. I didn't try the restaurant but got Zeeks Pizza delivered which is nearby.

Joanna T.

Yelp
Dismal, grimy, run-down rooms with laughable amenities. Not only old, run- down room with battered furniture but it was grimy. Crusty grime on the one place to sit. Crusty spots on the carpet. Dirty grout in the bathroom. And ONE bedside LAMP for the whole room. And a small desk lamp to spotlight one thing. No joke. We couldn't see to get ready in the morning. There must be some renovated, nice rooms in the hotel - but believe the reviews that say their rooms were dirty, run-down and uncomfortable. When a hotel posts dozens of photos of their lobby, and one of the few amenities is "an assortment of spiritual reading available on request" - we should have known. This hotel relies on (and promotes extensively) its displayed art throughout the building. But its rooms are dismal. At least on the 22nd floor. We felt like third rate citizens up here.... Who might as well have booked rooms in a hotel 8. Or three for this price. I hate to leave scathing reviews but this was... not a nice place to stay.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with this Hotel. At first I wasn't to sure if this was going to be what was advertised but it really is. Parking can be confusing, it's either self park or valet. It is on site so your vehicle is right there when you need or want it. The hotel itself is bright, airy, clean and feels quite posh. The decor for the holiday season was stunning and the staff was so kind and helpful. The bar is not open all the time nor is their onsite restaurant. That's my only gripe at all. They do serve lovely drinks, are very accommodating. It's amazing. I literally had the best burger of my life in their restaurant with a glorious side of garlic fries. Normally I find hotel restraints a little lacking but this place really steps up their game. The location is also very handy. 10/10 for me. The room I had gave a view of the Tacoma Dome, good blackout curtains and a comfy bed.

Yelp
I would like to express my concerns regarding my recent experience at the hotel, specifically involving two staff members, Octavia and Jessica. Unfortunately, their behavior was not in line with the professional standards I expected. Despite the pleasant atmosphere of the hotel, their rudeness and lack of courtesy significantly impacted my stay. It is disheartening to see representatives of the establishment behaving in such an unprofessional manner, especially when guests are seeking a relaxing environment. I sincerely hope that management takes note of this feedback and addresses the situation. It would be beneficial for the hotel to provide additional training to ensure that all staff members understand the importance of respectful customer service. Thank you for your attention to this matter. My stay was so incredibly disappointing that I'm considering asking one of my journalist friends in the area to visit discreetly. I want them to witness firsthand the rudeness, disrespect, and unprofessionalism I've encountered recently. it's very disappointing and disheartening.

Yelp
Do Not Stay Here! This property is grossly unkept and is falling apart. Nothing offered is as advertised. Management is nowhere to be seen or heard from. Voicemail boxes are full and calls not received. Two weeks later and over charges still aren't returned. My young family stayed here over Christmas night. We upgraded to a patron suite as a treat. The jetted tub, pull out couch and patron club are what really attracted us to stay here. The jetted tub did not work. There were no extra blankets nor pillows especially for the pull out bed. The curtains were torn. The 'club' is a closet with a very few picked over small chip bags and granola bars. We tried to reach the front desk multiple time with no answer that night. Be aware you have to pay an additional $25 to park per night. The bar was closed and there was no continental breakfast the next day. When prompted were offered a $20 off coupon to their restaurant for breakfast, however. After over two weeks I still have not received my refundable deposit back. There is no one to call and no email address to respond to. This is a motel 6 with lipstick AT BEST.

Yelp
I had a concerning experience outside the Macomb Hotel in Tacoma around 3:00 AM on November 17, 2024, where I felt targeted in a potential robbery attempt. Despite reporting this to the front desk, the dismissive response left me disappointed and worried for my safety. I expected my concerns to be handled with more seriousness to ensure guest safety. Her response was "Well there's nothing I can do so" *shrug* She was very polite but handled the situation with zero understanding & no empathy. The severity of what I may have avoided is just now hitting me. There was a cop outside too who was keeping an eye on things; I'm assuming that's why he began to leave while they went & walked inside the hotel. I'm not sure if I'll come back but the rooms were very nice! Could be a one off incident and there was a small misunderstanding over a can of mich ultra that was not mine but obviously left/trash. I was in the wrong here & I did not take anything. I put it back then proceeded to pick up 5-10 cans outside during the incident. I used the cans as an excuse for moving towards the entrance of the hotel. Mainly as redemption for me being a annoying Idiot earlier but also to gradually get away. If you work at the hotel, just check the tapes & you will see it play out exactly that way. I'm not one to ever complain on a google regiew & I am not after any compensation or refunds. Im more-so concerned how she responded to my complaints of guest safety. To be brushed off like I was trying to report a potential robbery of a old school & well known set up is incompetence, unwillingly ignorant and highly concerning. Small annoyance should not warrent a disregard to guests physical well being. I'm still deciding if I want to stay here or not. Feel free to reach out to me via email. If you are deciding to stay here, don't go out for a smoke at 3:00am. One of the reasons I did was due to the 5 cop cars parked outside. Not relevant to what happened directly but this is why I felt safe to go out for a smoke. Once the officer left & I thought I was doing the right thing.... I did not feel safe. Overall the expierence was strange enough for me to take the 2 hours to write & report this incident.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay and didn't hear any noise from other rooms, super important to me. The place has a swanky vibe, but I think there's some attention lost in the details. Could be partly to do with the age of the place. It's grand and impressive upon entering and being on the 20th floor the view was great! They do have a lot of parking - valet and some self parking. They do not have a pool. Didn't eat here as we came to explore more of the brewery blocks. The bed was firm, the sheets were clean, I think the overall cleaning of the room could've been a little better. I might stay again, for over $300 a night I would need a good reason.

Yelp
It's a very nice hotel. The venue is modern with featured glass artist's works on each floor. A clean and well equipped fitness center. My room was modern, clean, quiet, even right next to the elevators, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It is located within walking distance of The Museum of Glass, The Washington State History Museum, The Tacoma Art Museum, and the University of Washington Tacoma campus. I would recommend the Hot Murano and would stay here again.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying I don't really leave reviews however my experience was very unpleasant it was necessary.. This is the first time staying in Seattle and when you walk it the lobby looks great. However the rooms are ok our AC didn't work and when I called to ask them to send someone they stated they couldn't fix our problem unfortunately however someone would come up. When they figured the problem was unfixable They stated they would bring up a fan. It took a whole day to bring up a fan. The next day we ordered house keeping. Walked downstairs and everything. They didn't send anyone up. I called the next morning to complain and they stated that they had no one. At the time I asked for towels and toilet paper. Mind you this was early in the am I returned to the room at 9pm at which time there was still no toilet paper. I called and they stated they would send someone immediately. This also took about 30 min. Mind you we needed to use the restroom. To top it off they had an attitude when finally delivering the toilet paper. The customer service was horrible. Upon arrival we also asked to have one of our family members get moved closer to us. They stated it was just an elevator ride from the 5th floor to the 22 needles to say no accommodations were made. THIS was one of the WORST experiences. I will not be returning to this hotel EVER!!!

Yelp
I stayed in a king suite for a few nights and was not happy with my experience. The front desk personnel were unwelcoming when I first arrived, the WiFi did not work in the room, the bedding had a ton of stains on it, and the bathroom did not look like it got cleaned. The shower ceiling and shower head had mold and the bathroom counter was not wiped down. All of this is surprising based off of the price of the room. When I informed Hotel Murano of my experience they sent an uncaring response by text that looks like it was just copy/pasted. I would NOT recommend this hotel to people visiting Tacoma.

Yelp
The lobby and entrance gives a extravagant feel but my hotel room didn't even have a ceiling light, just a bed side light and a desk light. The view from the breakfast room is really nice tho.

Yelp
Stayed 2 nights & received wonderful service. Fresh hot/cold Breakfast. Clean Room had 2 queen sized beds, 50" tv on the wall, small refrigerator, closet and nice sized bathroom. Shower/sink Water was always hot/warm. Food at the Restaurant on the 4th floor was awesome & affordable. You need to check it out!

Yelp
This place feels very tried, cleaning seems to be at a minimum and the furniture in the room as seen better days. Lack of follow-up proves they have given up, sadly

Yelp
We booked one night for a staycation and primarily chose it for its location. The room was larger than I expected though and had a very nice view! The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. I really liked how each floor featured a different artist. The one downside was a very strong smell of perfume or cologne in the lobby that was difficult to handle. Once we got into the elevator, upstairs hallway and room there were no issues. I would 100% recommend this hotel but you might want to wear a mask if you have a sensitive nose.

Yelp
Don't discount this place as it looks unassuming from the outside inside it's definitely four star hotel with a beautiful lobby and up-to-date common areas. The nice touch is all of the glass work done on each floor. My first room was facing towards Rainier with a beautiful view at the 23rd floor. However, when I had to switch rooms due to not being able to extend in my current room, staff was extremely helpful and my view was beautiful, definitely a good value walking distance of many good restaurants and bars. Be sure to check out Ebony and Ivory coffee shop right across the street.

Yelp
Dated hotel, windows fogged, rooms not as large as advertised. Definitely 3 stars but gets 1 star because of the god damn key cards that pretty much do not work in the elevators to get to upper floors. Key cards replaced once already. For the price of the room, that shit should work. This is a dated hotel, sure the furnishings are newish but beige electrical outlets tell me this place was a budget remodel. Oh ya, no secure parking. Once and done with this place.

Yelp
First, the moment you walk into the lobby you're engulfed in a throat scratching, horrible stench of cheap knockoff men's cologne - they must just pump it into the place. That smell was a constant over the 2 days of my stay. Second, they didn't give me the room I reserved. Third, mildewy shower, stained walls, and uneven, creaky floors in the room. Fourth, I ate breakfast there one morning and I heard a server tell another server she was sick and "don't come near me, I don't want to give it to you." But then she went and took a customer's order and delivered his food. Have we learned nothing from the pandemic? So, it wasn't wonderful. It's a good location though.

Yelp
Hotel is ok. No pool no sauna. Restaurant way understaffed. Expect to wait. They have their ringer turned off so unless they're stand in front of it Well you know. So you have to go down order at the bar then wait or come back for your order. Just bad business. All these problems fall management just either lack of management or piss poor management overwork staff that when mistakes happen. Took three try la to get order right. Vey sad. Well, today's a new day and new adventures. Wrote this post last night, but then I figured out the ice machine on our floor doesn't work. The electric has went out twice in the building not on the street. The hotel is like overdone, but the infrastructure is very poor.

Yelp
The hotel was nice yet expensive! There was no pool, jacuzzi or room service. On the phone that you call the front desk on had a button that "eat in bed" and there was not an option to do so. That was very disappointing! On top of that, my husband and I were about to check out so we pressed the button that said "luggage/car" and there was not a bellman to bring us a cart for our luggage. The front desk said they were sure where the bellman was and didn't "see" any carts. In addition, the pressure in the bathroom sink was too high and made a mess on various occasions.

Yelp
The name Murano comes from Italy. Glass art is famous there. Few miles away from Chihuly garden and bridge and the big museum completed with workshops where they actually blow glass, this hotel is a convenient place to stay. Parking is free outside hotel. There are art works on every floor. Many are commissioned by the hotel when it was built. Our room was functional. Small fridge and tv and single coffee maker using filtered single bags. The windows do not open. Room Smelled a bit off, but after few hours, we weren't bothered. A/C was pretty strong. Weird thing about this place is the restaurant is on 4th floor. We didn't like that. But, it was ok for one night. There is a gym, but I didn't use it. I hope they remodel and have few inches of windows Open and move the restaurant to more accessible location.

Yelp
Did not enjoy my stay. The breakfast was awful, there are no vending machines, you have to wait until the restaurant opens to find any eating utensils, and there is no microwave in the room. The building is nice the lobby is nice and the hall ways are nice. The room is basic and no different than a best western hotel. This hotel is very overrated.

Yelp
Downgrading as the cologne/perfume of the lobby and bar is so overwhelming I had to cover my face and hustle to the elevators each time I needed to enter and exit during our 3 day stay. I avoided the restaurant too as I am afraid it shared air space. What the heck? Why does this place smell so strongly? I will not stay here again as smells trigger migraines for me. Cool place. Love the art. But the smell/scent is so overwhelming I just can't do it again.

Yelp
the room was dirty and they have put used soap and shampoo in the bathroom! The front desk was awful and rude! Do not recommend To stay there!

Yelp
Hotel Murano provides luxury, convenience, caring service and amenities. Staff we're attentive and sincere. Especially kudos to Front Desk manager Morgan Veras and the hostess in the exclusive 24th floor guest service room. Rooms were clean, great views and neat. Our recommendation is to pay the extra to get on the 23rd floor because of the views and access to the 24th floor amenities.

Yelp
Terrible experience, I would not recommend. I have stayed in dozens of hotels over the years & this was the worst experience of all. It started with a bug bed in my bed. I would add the picture but it's just gross to few! I called the front desk to advise, they put me on hold, then when I told them the response was "we will send up housekeeping, to take a look," what?! I had to ask for my room to be moved & the new room to be inspected. Then I get to the new room & the tv doesn't work. So, I call the front desk & am placed on hold, of course. Again, they have no concern for my issue & just say they will send someone asap which was about an hour later. By then I had fixed the tv myself. You would think a manager would have reached out to me at that point but no. I was given a nominal credit for my "inconvenience" but it sure wasn't enough to compensate for the lack of service or concern.

Yelp
Girls at lobby desk did not seem happy when I came to check in as if I was interrupting whatever they where doing. They provided us a room key to a room that already had someone checked in watching television. HUGE SECURITY RISK. Room was supposed to have a view of the mountain. From floor nine we could only see the back side of buildings. Room seemed clean, art through out the hotel was interesting. Location was decent...paid parking with glass in the lot didn't feel too safe. UPDATE: at 8:50PM someone tried to enter our room and then a few minutes later the lobby called our room to ask who we were. I wouldn't waste your money staying here.

Yelp
Hotel Murano has a beautiful lobby and nice staff, but overall not a good hotel! The pictures online look nothing like the actual rooms! Our room was small and didn't even have a countertop in the bathroom. I literally had to put my makeup and skincare on the ground... Then when we called for more towels, a blow dryer, and shampoo, it took them 3 hours to bring it. We also ordered 4 separate food items from the restaurant, and all of it was disgusting! It was a waste of money because we couldn't even eat any of it since it was so bad. I would of much rather stayed at a Holiday Inn honestly.

Yelp
Hotel Murano - I am calling you out for your decision not to issue a full refund or even consider me moving my reservation to a later date after I tried to cancel my reservation for October 18-19 in light of P!nk announcing the postponement of her 2 Tacoma Dome concerts late in the day on October 16. On the morning of October 17, I called Hotel Murano and explained my situation and my desire to cancel my reservation because of the concert postponement. The Hotel Murano employee I spoke with said there was nothing she could do because I made the reservation through hotels.com, and that I would have to take up the matter with them. After contacting hotels.com customer service and explaining my situation, they contacted Hotel Murano. You refused to budge on offering a full refund, saying I did not cancel by the established date to avoid getting penalized for 1 night's stay ($330!). The date for that was October 14 and P!nk did not make a postponement announcement until October 16. You did not even consider the circumstances of myself and many others that were traveling to Tacoma just to see P!nk. This clearly feels like a money grab because you'd already hiked your room rates for the nights that P!nk was to be in town. I get it- supply and demand. All of the hotels near the Tacoma Dome had elevated rates during this time. But the fact that you would not even consider my request to move my hotel reservation to 2 nights the following week (and refund me the small $$ difference) just reeks of greed. I understand you have revenue goals to hit, but you took advantage of people like myself that were pretty much only coming to Tacoma to see P!nk perform. I hope P!nk is able to reschedule her Tacoma shows to a later date. I will definitely plan to be there, but I will NEVER consider your property again as a place to stay while in Tacoma, Normally I stay at the Marriott when I come up there, but this time I decided to try out the Murano. That was a huge mistake on my part given your lack of customer service.

Yelp
To start, I'm rating this a 2 for multiple reasons. I'm attempting to be fair with the rating and show pros and cons. The fact that this place is rated as a 4 Star hotel is more than misleading. It's completely dishonest. And here's the reasons. 1. There were no items in the bathroom to shower with. No shampoo, no body soap/wash. When I asked for it, nothing ever came. 2. The room itself was dirty (I.e carpet felt sticky, sink was brownish, bathroom counter covered in dust and dried water) 3. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed of any hotel I've done, and I've stayed in the past at some 1 and 2 star hotels. 4. The common area of the hotel smelt like I was in an old Vegas hotel. Smoke and BO. 5. No on-site parking. Had to pay $25 to walk 10 minutes to park. Literally timed from hotel room to car. A pro: I had a decent view of the mountains/port area and saw a great sunrise. Overall for $250 a night, this place was extremely disappointing.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible. Homeless person in parking area. Carpet in entrance needs stretched. Big wrinkles the entire way. At check-in I find out I have to pay 24.00 per day to park out there. Perhaps the homeless guy is just undercover security. The corner room on the website is not like the corner room we got. And bring your fire stick because they don't even have an app on the tv so I can sign in. Went to get bfast for myself and wife so she could sleep in a bit. Apon my return do ya think my card card worked. Oh hell no! So had to wake her up to get in. USB charger port on nightstand doesn't work. All this on night one. Luxury hotel my butt.
