Hotel Nani Mocenigo Palace

We’ve spent pleasant days in Mocenigo Palace, specially because they gave us an upgrade to a very large room which has a living room, huge bathroom and even a balcony with a small table.||It is very well located near the Accademia vaporetto station to the north, already inside the Grand Canal, and Zaccaria to the south. Beautifully decorated with antique furniture and Murano chandeliers of old and modern styles. It has a room with small exhibits of modern art.||Be advised that the breakfast is not a buffet, at least in our stay in low season January. A waiter will take your order from a menu. It takes about 30min from sitting until you get your order delivered. They will serve you pastries right away though. This method makes the whole process take longer, which is not bad, unless you are scheduled to some tour or meeting. We used this relaxing time to admire the seagulls in the hotel garden.||I would definitely stay in Mocenigo Palace again.

I stayed here in January for just under a week and it was fabulous. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and (I suppose because we were staying a while and it was quiet) we even were upgraded, which I thought was terrifically generous. The building is beautiful and the location is also great -- it's a 20 minute walk from most of the major landmarks, but was quiet and close to the water and good restaurants. I read a review on Google saying breakfast was slow or somehow deficient -- I would wholeheartedly disagree. There was a well-stocked buffet on the weekend, and during the week, when it was quiet and so the hotel had table service, we were able to order everything we would have gotten from the buffet. The fruit plates were especially tasty. I looked forward to breakfast every day, and it became a very relaxing ritual to start the day. The service at breakfast, as indeed throughout the hotel, was charming, warm, and thoughtful. The front desk was also always willing to help. They recommended restaurants and made multiple reservations for us (including changing one when we realized we'd had too much lunch to have a big dinner), and when my sister had to take a pre-dawn taxi to the airport, the person at the front desk walked her to the boat and confirmed the price so that she could feel confident on her journey. I sincerely hope to come back to Venice soon, and to stay at this hotel.

Excellent Hotel, great and very friendly service and staff. Especially the restaurant La Bauta is one of the best in Venice as well as on an international scale. We have been extremely pleased by the dishes and the whole team as well as the waiter Giacomo who is one of the best of its kind. We have been very impressed by his professionalism as well his great ability to add a personal touch so that we look forward to come back and to be guests in this restaurant over and over again. This has been one of the best discoveries in Venice over the last years. Thanks again!!

Nani Mocenigo Palace is a gem with a true Venetian soul. Perfectly located next to Accademia, the building is amazing with wonderful common areas and a beautiful garden. Rooms are beautifully renovated full of genuine details. The front desk staff, the bar and the restaurant offer a seamless service. Highly recommended, even better in real life than it looks online.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 romantic days at Hotel Nani Mocenigo Palace and loved every minute of our stay. The room was spotless, beautifully designed and decorated. The concierge service and in general all staff have been perfect. The location is perfect to reach every place in Venice by foot. Breakfast was incredible. We will definitely be back soon!

A fantastic hotel on a quiet canal but centrally located. The hotel is charming and grand yet still intimate. Our room overlooked the canal and was charming in a typical Venetian Palazzo style. Perfectly decorated and well thought out. The bathroom was large and very clean. The staff was amazing and caring - helping us sort out our transportation and strike concerns. The inner traditional courtyard garden was peaceful and green. |Just lovely!

I am writing this while waiting for 20 minutes and counting for coffee to be served at this hotel’s poorly run, chaotic breakfast service staffed by two young men who are clearly overwhelmed. It’s a beautiful hotel on a great location on quiet, quaint Dorsoduro near the Accademia and the Accademia bridge. The lobby, bar, dining room, and patio are well appointed and pleasant if it’s available to guests. They rent out the restaurant and patio for events so on the day we arrived, we were not able to enjoy these spaces except to walk through them in the midst of wedding festivities and on to our sadly situated $500/ night Superior room in the back of the hotel with its separate tiny staircase and hallway of janitorial and laundry rooms with doors wide open for guests to enjoy. Beware of rooms 107 and 108.||After a 3 night stay at Hotel Due Torri in Verona, this following experience at Hotel Nani Mocenigo was a let down. Perhaps it’s unfair to make a comparison because the price points are different. However, while I was not expecting 5 star accommodations and service, I was also not expecting to be accommodated a shoddy dirty-carpeted room in the back and uneven service. The breakfast offering was sparse, slightly compensated by deliciously pastries.||On the staff: young and trying their best with what seems to be a poorly planned breakfast service. Why not have ready carafes of coffee ready to serve? Front desk: helpful and somewhat cheerful. ||I’ve stayed at much better 4-star hotels in Venice. If the above low points don’t bother you, then consider this hotel for its location and patio.

The hotel is in a perfect location, on a picturesque canal. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, courteous and attentive. Our room was both beautiful and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant one night and the food was sublime. Just fabulous!

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Nani Mocenigo! The staff are so wonderful, welcoming and helpful. We felt immediately at home and comfortable. My fiancé and I stayed in the family room which was *huge*. It's a two room suite with a living room, master bedroom, second large bedroom and large bathroom. We never even used the second room-would be a perfect size for a family of 3+ or two couples. The hotel grounds are beautiful with stunning chandeliers, grand sitting areas and a gorgeous courtyard. The included breakfast was very good and we enjoyed eating every morning out in the sunny courtyard with the flowers and fountain. Bed was very comfortable and towels were soft/plush. Housekeeping services are excellent and we were always left a sweet note and chocolate on the bed daily (including a murano glass candy the last night). We took advantage of the hotel's murano glass factory tour and it was excellent way to start a day trip! The water taxi picked us up around 10:30 and whisked us away to Murano (there were two other couples on the tour). The factory itself was very informative and it was great seeing the glass made and learning about the process from sand to the finished product. There was no pressure to buy at all though I did end up getting a pair of earrings. You can return on the water taxi when you're done or continue exploring other islands as we did on our own by catching a vapored to (we checked out Burano and Mazzorbo before heading back to Venice). I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. The location is super close to Zattere stop on the canal and the Academia bridge. We also enjoyed exploring the Dorsoduro as it's less touristy and pretty quiet at night. Two local bars on the same street as the hotel also have excellent cicchetti. Highly recommend for the grand feel of the property, the excellent service and the location.
