The hotel is housed in a stunning 15th-century building that makes a great first impression from the outside. There’s also a charming courtyard where breakfast is served each morning, which was a nice touch.
The staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, which made a big difference during our stay.
That said, the rooms were much smaller than expected for a property advertised as five stars. The carpets were stained, some outlets didn’t work, and we had recurring issues with the hot water that required staff to reset the boiler.
Overall, while the setting is beautiful and the staff were amazing, the experience felt closer to a three-star hotel by U.S. standards.
