This hotel has a very low comfort. After only two night, I ended up with a serious acj Pai. The matress was horrible and so was the pillow. No cooffee in the room. No free internet. Most of the furniture should have recieved new upholstery a looong time ago. A hamac in a scout camp would be a better choice.

We were given a night in this hotel by Air Greenland when our helicopter was cancelled. The room was a good size with comfy beds. Dinner was great and the breakfast buffet was large and well stocked. The staff were super friendly and took us to the airport in the morning. The only downside was having to pay for the Wi-Fi.

The Hotel Narsarsuaq is a bit of a mixed bag. Room quality varies significantly.||||The first time I stayed was at Air Greenland's expense, due to a flight cancellation. The room was noticeably worn and had a shared bathroom with the room next door. ||||The second time was at my own expense. This time I got a much nicer room with a private bathroom. It was still a little basic (especially at 1400 DKK per night), but perfectly fine for a few nights. ||||I suspect that in general you'll get a better room if you are a paying guest rather than on an Air Greenland delayed flight complementary stay.||||I believe the underlying issue is that Narsarsuaq Airport is scheduled to close in 2025 and Hotel Narsarsuaq with it. So naturally Air Greenland isn't investing much in the hotel. It looks like things that would normally have been upgraded or repaired are getting left as they are. So room quality may vary significantly.||||The lobby is pleasant. Most of the staff are friendly, although some are rather cool (perhaps due to wariness of the occasional disappointed guests!) Rooms aren't cleaned everyday, but apparently every third day. There's plenty of hot water. There is an non-advertised next-day laundry service - if you leave laundry at reception in the morning it will come back the following evening.||||There aren't really any other choices in the area and this is fine for a short stay.

The hotel is vast and rambling, but smart and spacious. ||||Our room was well appointed, with most of what we expected except tea and coffee making facilities, and there was nowhere to hang a damp towel. ||||There is a lounge area in the lobby with huge squashy comfortable armchairs and sofas. ||||The restaurant is on the upper floor, and is airy and spacious with views across the airport to the fjord and mountains, and is to be commended for not having muzak. ||||Breakfast was varied and excellent, but dinner was disappointing. There are normally an à la carte menu and a dish of the day, but on two of the four nights we dined there, only a 'buffet' was available. This involved only a choice of two main courses, and no starter or dessert. The dish of the day was priced at DK85 when it was available, but the 'buffet' was DK125 which I thought was poor value by comparison. ||||Transport is available to and from the harbour and airport, but as you can walk to the airport buildings in about five minutes from the hotel, the fare of DK75 is extortionate.||||One big black mark is that the hotel charges residents for wi-fi, and it is extortionately priced - DK40 for half an hour, going up to DK400 for three days - that's GPB16 **per day**.

My final 2 nights in Greenland were in this hotel. Much bigger than other places I had stayed in Greenland so more impersonal. Room was a good size and very comfortable. WiFi expensive. Very handy for airport. Buffet style meals were good and available for longer than elsewhere I had been. Staff seemed a bit stressed at times and could not help with trip I had planned.

Very friendly Hotel near the little airport. Just 5 min to walk. We stayed for one night because our flight was cancelled. The Hotel helped all passengers fast ... thank you for that. Buffet was good ! And the stuff ist super friendly.

The hotel has 2 types of rooms. The newer ones are comfy and with wc and shower, and you can enjoy the beauty of land, but there is a lower end- I have got unfortunately this type to one night because of overbooking. You know what- never ever, you even loss that amusement, that nature in Greenland gives you. That room made me sick for rest of my job trip and I never want to come back to Greenland.

Hard to rate the hotel vs the restaurant so the stars are for the restaurant. Chef Kunuk Grønvold is phenomenal. All his recommendations—Our starter was a Minke whale tataki, dried seal, apple, blubber and Rye bread croutons. Our main course was delicious best lamb in the planet and a biscuit with buttercream, angelica and and a meringue with a lime ice on top. A “burnt” brioche bread to top of off. Highly recommend. The hotel is a 2 star. Built long ago and definitely needs a remodel, but with 130 people living here and not as many tourists as let’s say, Iceland, it’s fine for the night.
