Hôtel National Resort & Spa

We just spent five days at the hotel and it was perfect in every way- exactly what we were looking for. The hotel itself is centrally located in the town, beautifully done, rooms are clean and nicely designed. The spa is fantastic and the views breathtaking. All the staff we encountered were incredible, polite, charming and helpful. We will 100% be going back for our next ski trip - an absolute diamond of a find

Amazing Swiss alps from breakfast area, swimming pool and our balcony it is really a big WOW, It’s definitely a dream holiday! It’s peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast is high quality and good pot of tea. We visited in December and snow the following day. A magical views wonderland like a movie. A few minutes walk to the Coop. A big thank you to the team at Hotel National’s Resort and Spa, very friendly and helpful :) This has been an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!!!!!

We spent 4 days and 3 nights here, and it was such a luxurious getaway from home. The entire team at Hotel National in Champery is super professional and welcoming. It feels just like a 5-star luxury hotel. It was genuinely enjoyable, and the views from this place are absolutely stunning!

We spent just a night there but the stuff was lovely and welcoming. We were travelling with a dog and she was really much welcomed as well. They even had a ball for her and we paid 20 CHF for her. Only (rather bad) thing to mention is the coffee at the bar.

An absolutely wonderful hotel! They upgraded our room to a mountain view and it was such a treat to wake up every morning to a wonderful mountain view. The room had a balcony where we had our coffee each morning surrounded by and intaking the beautiful scenery before we went down for breakfast. The staff is amazing. They anticipate your needs and are very helpful. The hotel is very clean and when we come to Switzerland again, this will be our hotel choice!

Staff members are really friendly and have been taking a good care of the guests. The room is very comfy and relax. Definitely will stay at the hotel again when I get the another chance to visit Champéry!

I booked for a day in the spa as an external customer with my partner looking for a relaxing day, ones there we realised that despite the spa policy restricting access to adults hotel guests are welcome to bring in children and let them run around jumping and splashing around the jacuzzi. We kindly asked staff to tell the other guests to keep the noise down but nothing was done. As we left we talked to reception, a slight apology from staff but they told us it was normal during school holidays for hotel guests to bring kids into the spa. The access was quite expensive and to be told that’s just the way it is is not very professional. Left feeling disappointed by the service for a place with such a high rating.

This hotel was recommended to us, and we certainly were not disappointed. Whilst the hotel is top notch and feels very special, it also has a really lovely 'homely' feel to it, partly due to the fact it is small enough for the staff to get to know all the guests, and partly because the staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. Centrally located in the very picturesque town of Champery, which has 'chocolate box' chalets and is surrounded by snow capped mountains, the hotel has a lovely bar and breakfast area with panoramic views of the mountains. Our room had a double aspect with two lots of French doors and balconies where we could sit and admire the view. The en-suite shower room was huge and impeccably clean with modern sanitary ware. The sound proofing of the rooms was amazingly good and the electric shutters, combined with quality curtains, meant it was dark whatever time the sun came up! Breakfast was buffet style with a fabulous choice of hot and cold items and 'proper' coffee and tea served by the staff. A big feature is the swimming pool which is heated but outdoors and surrounded by the mountains - a fabulous place to relax. There is also a huge jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms, plus the option of booking spa treatments. I can recommend the massage! Whilst the hotel does not serve meals, it does have a 'snack' menu including lasagne, pizza, etc. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who were happy to advise on walks and activities. Whilst all the staff we encountered were fabulous, we were particularly impressed with Andres who went above and beyond to provide a top notch service. There is a choice of restaurants in Champery, some fabulous walks going from the centre and also many stunning places to visit locally. I can imagine it is a great ski resort, but when we were there in summer there was still plenty to see and do including mountain biking. I don't think anyone could be disappointed by a visit to this hotel.
