My wife and I stayed at the Lodge for one evening in Sept 2025. Parking was easy and was in the parking garage 200m away (was free for us). The room and location were excellent. The little village of Heiligenblut was nice to walk around in. I would give the room and facilities the highest rating (5 out of 5). The staff 4 our of 5. The restaurant 3 out of 5. Parking 4 out of 5, and an overall rating of 4 out of 5.

I was disappointed by the view from our balcony suite-yes, it faced up a lovely valley but also directly overlooked the main road into the village 😐 and faced AWAY from the spectacular peaks of Großglockner mountain 😕. And my wife could not sit in the low, reclined balcony chairs- they hurt her 68 year-old back. There was also no lobby to speak of, just a check-in desk. |Otherwise, no complaints- very helpful staff; nice breakfast in a lovely dining room; complementary parking in a nearby garage; comfortable (though not luxurious) room.

The good: staff was great with the exception of one very cranky woman working the dining room and bar.|Food was very good, but overpriced.|Room was nice with a good view.|The bad: the pillows were like large bean bags, not at all comfortable.|Our room had a key that inserted into a lock. Like the olden days. The only way to lock the door from the inside is to turn the key in the lock. Seems very unsafe in case of an emergency.

The whole experiance was wonderful, everyone we met ie reception staff , restaurant staff were friendly, spoke to us in English, the spa area especially pool ,sauna steam was exceptionally clean , the position of the hotel in the village is central and near the very pretty church, we took a bus to glossglockner which was great and just outside hotel. If in area will go again to this great hotel, fantastic views, staff and just wow

Ok I mean you’re paying for location to the Alpine road. The staff was very nice. But. I felt like I was staying at the hotel from the Shining. Weird staircases, elevators, and rooms in strange nooks and crannies. We paid for budget double because we figured most our time would be in the park But. It was a relic. And our view was the cleaning ladies smoking on their break in a crevice between the buildings. For the price we paid I would’ve expected a nicer room. And the parking you have to walk 200m to a free garage but god luck on the 6 corners to get your car to next level/exit without hitting the narrow corners. I would not go again but as I said the staff was very nice it’s just the building is creepy old with no updates to rooms. Especially for price you pay.

All points from my side. The team there has been very friendly and helpful from the beginning (what is not always the case when you arrive with a dog and bikes :-)). The location of the hotel is beautiful and central so you can start in any direction down the vallay into the small adjacent valley or up the Glockern Hochalpenstrasse. They also sport a nice pool and sauna area with a beautiful outside space where you are surrounded by majestic mountains while chilling your live. (We where there in summer and the pool water was refreshingly cold, big like for that). We can also recommend the kitchen and the restaurant, very good and local food at really reasonable prices. I'll be back :-)).

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It is unnecessarily expensive for what it offers. The service was poor and definitely not up to the standard you would expect for the price. The mattress was extremely soft and uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The rooms are outdated and in serious need of renovation. Overall, the hotel feels old and neglected. The only advantage is its good location.

Not every paid advertisement in Financial Times is truthful unfortunately. The hotel is well located, but the ski slopes are quite below the average ski resorts in Austria. There are no other ski resorts nearby. Good for beginner skiers. The premium suites are just bigger room. The bathrooms were not renovated much since the last century. Would have been acceptable if the prices were adequate. There is no good value for money. Though the food is good and diverse. It is funny to paid for the water which is from the tap in the restaurant. The staff are quite rude apart from one. There are a lot of rules to follow and it easy to be in non compliance. The spa is great!
