We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We had newer rooms in the annex which were very comfortable and nice. The grounds are large and we enjoyed walking down towards the water and feeling a bit out in nature. Loved the free pool table and darts board. We had dinner in town one night and at the hotel another. The hotel dinner admittedly was not at the same level as the in-town restaurant but was still solid and respectable. Hotel us an easy drive in to town and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was a nice place to stay for one night! We were in a room very close to reception but did not hear much noise. The bathrooms were a little small and the water had a strong sulfur smell compared to other hotels we stayed at. The sauna was small so did not accommodate many people. A little outside of town but only about 10 minutes. Breakfast was good!

Quite new rooms. We arrivederci there with two large groups. Dinner and breakfast were crowded and the choices were limited. The hotel is on the other side of Akurery in a very isolated area. You can walk in the countryside. The owner was very nice and tried to help and serve. The food area should become less neutral and give more a feeling of intimacy

This was our first time traveling to Iceland and we wanted to see the Northern side of the country. The Hotel Natur was quiet, relaxing and the scenery was beautiful, even with the blizzarding snow. The staff was friendly, informative, and helpful. There was complimentary coffee offered 24/7 and the breakfast each morning was tasty. The room was clean and modest, perfect if you plan to explore through out the day. We were able to easily travel to Aukeyri and around the area, as well as down to the water from the hotel property. It was a warm welcome to the chilly country!

We loved all the amenities that others mentioned, especially the modern room with lots of smart storage. We particularly loved the lower level with an amazing view, comfy furniture (blankets included!), and a massage chair! I borrowed a mat from the rec room and did some morning yoga with a view! The hotel seemed to be under construction when we visited, which was unanticipated. The water was VERY sulfuric. We understand this is to be expected with the hot water but the cold water was unbearable. The temperature of the shower was unpredictable. This was the only reason I marked the place down. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with just those few improvements that could've made it better.

This review is written whilst we are still staying here. In one word: Great! Location: Could not get better. Rooms: spacy with a view. Staff: friendly! Spa: hot tub and sauna for free. My opinion: do not mis this accomadation, it is worth while! The breakfast is the best we encountered in Iceland. The owner is very helpfull, tried to help us when our rental car did not start. Be aware when visiting the diamant circle, april might bring you into a snow storm, If it occurs your journey will be much longer then initially expected. For sure I would recommend this hotel for everybody who is in the area! As a bonus we also saw the northen light in the tower. Super!

At check-in, we were told the price for dinner was 4900 ISK per person, but the second day at the hotel we got charged 7900 ISK per person. The reason the staff gave us was that they had a "big buffet", but there was the same amount of food and not more choices that the night before available.
