Hotel Nepomuk

The location is amazing, right in the middle of the river, with amazing view. Several older buildings were combined with modern extensions. My room was modern and very nice. The hotel restaurant was delicious. I ended up having breakfast there both mornings I was there, as well as a lunch and a dinner. All the food was first class. I will definitely stay and eat there on my next trip to Bamberg. Indeed, knowing this hotel is available makes it more likely I will return!

This was a really nice stay; phenomenal location (on the water), great attached restaurant, and very pleasant rooms. I'd easily recommend staying here and would again in a heartbeat. Convenient distance from sights and restaurants.

This is my second time at this Hotel, Nepomuk, as so many others have stated, the location is perfect. Right smack in the old city. The rooms are modern and super clean. The bar and restaurant are great! Service is outstanding. Bamberg is a fantastic city to visit and just walk around and take in all the history. To get there you have to drive on a few super tight streets, but we managed without any problems. You can drop your bags off at the front door and parking is a 5 minute walk away in an underground lot.

We stayed for 1 night along our 6-day road trip through Bavaria. Tiefgarage Geyerswörth is the closest parking available is only a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel. Our room (#113) was modern and clean with a great view of the river and the City Hall downriver. The hotel is literally located on the river so access to the old town and the obsessively photographed Alten Rathaus is a mere 5-minute walk away. ||The staff recommended we reserve a table at their restaurant (Eckerts) for breakfast (not included) and dinner; however, there are a ton of options for dinner in town and although breakfast was perfectly fine, I'm not sure it was a very good value at -8 Euro for bread, butter, and jam...||Overall, a great place to stay for a night or two while exploring Bamberg and old town!

We loved our stay at Hotel Nepomuk. The best things was the position and location of the hotel. We had fantastic views from our room, and it was quite, but in easy commute to all the best Bamberg has to offer. Bamberg is a definite favourite, and we loved walking around this beautiful city, then returning to a quiet and clean room. The room was comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast so cannot speak to the food at Hotel Nepomuk. The staff were indifferent. Some were very pleasant and others appeared a little surly. Perhaps it was the time of year. Having said that, I’d definitely stay again as we found the location to be perfect.

Wow! This hotel has it all: spectacular central location in the "old city," nextdoor to an iconic Bamberg brewery/beer hall, several restaurants nearby, views of the river from some room windows, scenic restaurant attached, large rooms, hot showers, and comfy beds. We enjoyed just spending time in the hotel room. Also, the hotel was easy for taxi to access and appeared very elegant at the entrance and lobby.

I am in love with Bamberg! And Hotel Nepomuk's location was excellent. I'll definitely be back. My room was very practical, spotless and had a great view onto the river beneath it. Breakfast at "Eckert's" is a MUST. Here again, the best location, tasteful and light ambiance, tasty breakfast with lots of homemade products. Friendly staff and good service.

Excellent location, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. The breakfasts were extra but were very good and a fantastic waterfront location. The restaurant is clearly very popular as well.
