Hotel Nepomuk

Stayed here for two nights whilst on business in the area. I’ve stayed here before so knew what to expect. The hotel is uniquely placed, straddling the river in the old town, super close and convenient for both the city centre and the heart of historic Bamberg. ||Check in was seamless, and I was soon off to my room. The room was immaculate. Easy to use temperature controls, a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom, with good shower pressure and temperature. ||I took breakfast in the morning which was table served to order, with a nice selection of dishes. I ate from the dinner menu, whilst enjoying a drink in the bar and again food and service was great.||My early check out was facilitated by paying the bill the prior evening, so I could just leave my key with reception when I left early the following morning. The bill was emailed to me, which is always super convenient.||A comfortable nights sleep was had on both nights and the hotel offers great value for money in the centre of historic Bamberg. Staff and facilities are great and the hotel is immaculately clean throughout. I will absolutely return when the need arises again.

Unbelievable location. Amazing city. Kind staff. The location is ideal for staying in the beautiful historic Bamberg. It was very HOT while we were there, so not having air conditioning from 9pm until midnight it was a bit uncomfortable. The views out our window were breathtaking. |The only complaint is that the breakfast is al la carte. If you want bread with breakfast, there is an additional charge, as well as butter, honey or jam. Most smaller hotels in Germany have a buffet breakfast. The location of eating right near the water was beautiful. We would definitely recommend this hotel if your travels take you to the picturesque town of Bamberg!

We had a fabulous time at this lovely hotel. The hotel itself is positioned directly over the river Linker Regnitzarm. Our room had river views in all directions! It’s a special location in a beautiful city. The attached restaurant Eckerts serves lovely breakfasts

We arrived at mid day after flying some 17 hours from Arizona. We were greeted at the front desk and shown to our room. It was on the river and had a Saint guarding us. The heat was 32 and humid. They provided a fan and we had a nice shower. The breakfast was awesome and the hotels location was perfect for us.

The location of this hotel was beautiful. The town is so adorable and very unique. They have great restaurants all over as well. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is very minimalistic. It is ok for a night; however, there are very, very few amenities. There is nothing in the bathroom except for tattered towels and bath gel. The shower stall is very small (and I am not a large person). The beds were very stiff. I had a large stain on my duvet and had to ask twice to get. New one. We knew it didn't come with breakfast and the restaurant attached was adequate and expensive. It wasn't opened for dinner on two of the night we were there. There is no one at reception after 6:00pm, so cross your fingers that you don't need anything. A family member recommended this hotel, and we won't take his advice again.

Check in was fine and the building/room is clean (despite being a bit of a maze), however the pillows were folded blankets in a pillowcase, the trashcan is locked behind a cabinet with a hole from the top, parking is €18, and in the AM there is no coffee to be had to-go (and only for more € at the restaurant nextdoor where the staff was not friendly).
