I stayed here from Wednesday to Wednesday and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the bar service was excellent — they even offer a free shot for guests over 21 who drink. The hotel is very kid-friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was included with the stay. Even though I only speak English and most of the staff speaks Spanish, communication was never a problem — they understood me perfectly and were very hospitable. My room was clean, the pool was spotless, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you to hotel manager Josemary, who lives on site and is always ready to help if you need anything. I also appreciated the help carrying my bags to my room. Overall, this was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it!

This is a simple, inexpensive and absolutely delightful little hotel. It is architecturally compelling which, to us, was a great surprise. There is an inner courtyard with a bar and restaurant as well as a nice swimming pool. Breakfast is included and delicious with lots of choices. Every single person in this hotel was friendly and helpful. There is enough English spoken to make checking in and out seamless. If you have to visit Boca Chica, this is a lovely place to stay. ||Sadly every restaurant across the street from the hotel is over-priced and you should watch out for being ripped off, that is having your bill marked up by anywhere from 18 to 80%. We saw it all.

Outside at entrance you are welcomed by a open garbage dump with the appropiate smell. Travellingnwirh my child some relax time with tv would be nice, but not working. Shower, nope, no water either as pump was not working i was explained. Went for dinner to Neptunos resturant in front. Nope as i had a child we could not sit all the way out by the water, this was an empty resturant on a monday 7pm. There was some other family with children at sea front, maybe more important than us. Our spot supposedly beside the reconstructions all the way in. We of course left. After dinner i managed to repair the cable tv as it was a bad connection in rhe coaxial. Water was back on so we stay the night. Payment could not be done either as the card reader have bad connection.... All in all crap place with a shitty and expensive restutant in front. Save your money snd go somewhere else.

We have booked two nights this weekend, most important is that the hotel was very clean, rooms are good and the beds are perfect, breakfast was included, you also have free WiFi in the whole hotel, staff was very polite and helpful. Hotel is very close to the beach and if you book your room at the front of the hotel you have a nice ocean view. You can park your car in the private space at the hotel. I recommend this hotel when you want to spend some days in Boca Chica at a affordable price.

I picked Refugios on line and as a result of We had a simple room at the back of the hotel on 3rd floor. We had a king bed which was nice although the bed was a bit hard . We checked in and the staff was friendly. the hotel property was very nice with foilage and passion fruit vines over breakfast area. The whole property had a european feel. The only problem in room was the electrical on one side of room did not work. Upon checking out I informed the front staff. They were not aware of it. All in all I would definetly stay here again and at 50 dollars a night it was well worth it.

This is a little gem of a hotel. It is family owned and it shows. The staff was always there to help with anything. It's basically located across the street from the beaches and restaurants. ||We were able to just walk the beaches, get drinks, go to the supermarket, go to the local gym (planet fitness), fish markets, local food stalls, and rent a boat for the day at the local marina. The hotel helped us rent a nice boat for the day for $300. We sat on a little was out off the beach and had a great day.||Hotel is also very close to Santo Domingo for a day trip in as long as you go in off hours, because traffic around here can be crazy.||The restaurants in this area are fantastic, albeit a little expensive for Dominican standards. But the restaurant right across the street (Neptunos) really was a great all day place to eat and swim and relax.||I think this has to be one of the best deals in the area based on proximity to beaches, restaurants, good area, and super close to the airport.

PLEASE DONT BOOK THIS LOCATION WITHOUT READING THIS REVIEW FIRST. ||My husband, our niece and nephew and I stood here for a weekend in August 2020 and visually its a nice place. We stood on the first floor and the manager thought it was ok for her to come into the apartment after the fact that she gave us the rundown of the apartment already. You have to pay extra for the gas, you're paying what ever it is she tells you utilized. The icing on the cake was this lady the manager accused us of stealing towels which made really pissed off because I paid my money to go there and since it was an apartment we brought our own towels, which we opened up and showed the manager so she can see the towel weren't the same as the ones in the apartments. We told her no towels were put in one of the rooms to which she said that the cleaning personnel did and we argued back in forth until I got in the car and we left. The place is nice don't get me wrong but im too grown to steal. The pool is nice but the manager isn't professional AT ALL ! There was a tv in one of the bed rooms and in the living room which was black and white until my husband fixed it, they want you to turn off the Ac's to conserve light in 90 degree weather. If you stay on the first floor all you hear is the managers voice all through out the night.
