We were shown 3 rooms that all were in unacceptable conditions for what is apparently a 3-star hotel. Firstly, they tried to put us in a room that had 3 bunk beds? (we are a family of 3) The second and third room were just awful. The place is dangerous with live plug sockets hanging out of the walls, No smoke or carbon Monoxide detectors in the rooms. Bathroom covered in mould, Furniture falling apart, Bulbs missing or simply not working. Beds that are old with sunken mattresses and very uncomfortable and the general cleanliness of the hotel in an unclean condition. The food in the morning of Sunday was adequate, but come Monday & Tuesday the food was getting worse, almost like the food was the left overs from the weekend with pastries that were rock hard, bread that was stale and hard, scrambled eggs that had a weird flavour and made my son and wife sick almost instantly. Another couple that were sitting close by were also complaining to each other about the whole scenario of the food and conditions of the place. ||The photos of the hotel must be years old on this website and I welcome a Hotel Inspector to visit and do an unannounced spot check on this property. Unfortunately I booked through Booking.com site where the ratings are somehow higher than Trip Advisor, Booking.com explains that the room are sound proof, this is so wrong, you can hear people walking past, going to the toilets, climbing up and down the stairs, people talking in the lounge and the lift is the worst thing you can hear, and there was no WiFi in our room. ||The staff were incredibly rude, arrogant and lied to us over and over again with examples of stating the mattresses in the hotel were double memory foam beds that had been replaced this year, in fact they are old fashioned sprung mattresses of at least 10 years of age. ||Please any one needing to stay in a hotel in Sierra Nevada, do not pick this one.
