This ryokan does not care about tattoos! I know that's a big thing for tourists because it was for us when looking at places to stay. Did not know that when we booked but were pleasantly surprised to find out we could use the public onsen, in addition to the private one in our room. The public onsen was small, but did not matter to us. Nice to soak after a long walks/hikes/traveling.
Rooms were big, and comfortable. Staff were friendly, and welcoming. Meals were pretty good, and I was full from both dinner and breakfast meals.
Was about a 10 minute walk to Nara Park, temple and a 15 minute walk from the train station/main Street.
My only complaint was that they tried to charge us for a private bath our group did not book. Just double check your receipt. Once they realized they were mistaken, they took it off our bill. No issues.
Would definitely stay here again.
