Hotel NH Collection A Coruña Finisterre

This review has been a long time in the making! We stayed here for 5 nights last September during the CAUMAS (Spanish Senior Universities) conference. It's an excellent hotel in all respects. We had a comfortable room with a view over the port area. The breakfast buffet is superb with same great view and the service is smiling, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended also for its location within easy walking distance from the centre and right next to the old town.

My friend and I booked this room three months ago and specifically requested two separate beds. To our surprise, after traveling thousands of miles, we were informed that the hotel had no rooms with two beds available — they were sold out, and there was no option to change. While the staff were patient, this does not make up for the lack of preparation and poor customer service. After a long and exhausting journey, all we wanted was to rest comfortably in our own beds. Unfortunately, this experience has left us disappointed, and I don’t think I’ll be choosing this hotel chain again.

Well situated, with the sea view and observing the cruisers entering La Coruna harbor. Spacious room, nice bar and restaurant. Temporary the driving to the hotel bit confusing, because of road construction works. Hotel parking with valet service at reasonable price. The staff is professional and helpful.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for the second time in June of this year and it just gets better. It has the most beautiful views in the heart of the city with wonderful transportation. . A beautiful basket of fruit was waiting for us. It is the most professional hotel I have been at. Our room was beautiful, very comfortable and quite. Everyone in this hotel is phenomenal. It was my birthday and I have to say that Ines Cambon, the guest relations made my day. I had met her on our prior stay there and found her to be wonderful. She found out it was my birthday and she sent a bottle of Champagne and a cake to my room with a free breakfast!! I almost had tears in my eyes. How professional is that? I will never forget her beautiful gesture. The ladies in the dining room also remembered me and got hugs from them all. Susana, Lupe couldn’t serve me better. I loved to see their happy faces in the morning. My coffee which is very important to me, was there as soon as they could get it. The concierge Luis, well I absolutely love him, he will help you with what ever you need. So personable funny and refreshing. The ladies cleaning your rooms go on and beyond for you. I have not one complaint, only good memories. I can’t wait to return to my favorite city and hotel. It’s a hidden gem. Thank you everyone for your help. I truly appreciate it.

The hotel has an excellent location and the rooms are pretty comfortable and spacious. The whole hotel is a little dated, and the real shame is the hotel bar which doesn't have any view of the sea (in fact it doesn't have any view at all!). However, the staff are charming an helpful and being so close to the port and the delightful old city make it a great place to stay. We didn't eat in the hotel, except for breakfast (which was very good). The only slip up was a dirty bath which did rather spoil the overall effect. We have stayed in the hotel on a number of occasions over the past 5 years, and this is not the first time that the bathroom cleanliness has let them down. The other less than perfect scores are really due to the fact that the hotel is a little bit dates/tired and could do with a re-fit.

This hotel offers exceptional value for money and is an excellent choice for accommodation. While the room was relatively simple in some aspects, it was well-maintained, comfortable, and provided everything needed for a pleasant stay. Given the affordable price, I have no complaints whatsoever about my experience here. The reception team was outstanding, providing me with all the essential information I required. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist made a significant difference in enhancing my stay. They were always available to answer any questions and ensured that I felt welcomed and well taken care of. I cannot recommend Hotel NH Collection highly enough. The combination of affordability, comfort, and exceptional service makes it a standout option. Without hesitation, I will be directing my family and friends to this establishment whenever they visit.

Paid for a room with sea view, a glimpse through a side slit window was provided.||The swimming pools were not under NH control, with only access for guests. They were packed and noisy(the Olympic pool had no water in it) therefore one of the other pools was for single lane swimming only and the other very full.

The only 5 star hotel in La Coruña. views of the marina & bay. In the heart of the old town & 5 minutes walking to the Maria Pita Square.

Hesperia Finisterre is an excellent hotel in many ways. The customer service was very good at reception. We had a problem with lights and someone addressed our situation immediately (although I did make my requests in Spanish). The room we had was extremely spacious and it was very relaxing to have the cries of seagulls lull me to sleep. The beds were also very comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and one of the best spreads that I have experienced while traveling. The dining room also gives a lovely view of the port. There is a great fitness area for hotel patrons as well, which includes weights, treadmills, elliptical, etc. The location is great, as it is walking distance to a lot of attractions, shops, and restaurants. You will need a taxi to get to the Renfe station, however. The only downside is the connection speed of the wireless Internet. It was extremely slow and made it impossible to accomplish any work. A cute plus: there are chuches (gummy candy) and champagne in the lobby!
