Hotel NH Collection Barcelona Gran Hotel Calderón

An unforgettable stay at NH Collection Barcelona in May 2024. From the moment i arrived, i was treated like royalty. I was generously upgraded to a massive, stunning suite, bright, luxurious, and impeccably designed. I truly felt like a princess. The location is also perfect, i was able to walk everywhere easily, which made exploring Barcelona even more enjoyable. But what truly touched me and made this experience unforgettable was the level of care and attention from the team. I had lost a lipstick and asked the front desk if it had been found. That evening, when i returned to my room, i was amazed to find a brand-new lipstick and mascara, along with a heartfelt handwritten note from the Guest Experience Manager, who later came to greet me personally. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to me. It’s rare to encounter such genuine kindness and attention to detail. It’s what turns a great hotel into an exceptional experience. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so magical. I’ll absolutely be back!

We recently stayed at the NH Hotel Gran Calderón in Barcelona and had a wonderful experience. Although we had a brief incident with a water leakage in our room, the way it was handled by the hotel staff truly turned the situation into a positive one.||A special thank you to the General Manager, Mr. Roger, as well as Jaime, Maria, and the entire guest services team. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond was truly commendable—what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. They made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.||Beyond the excellent service, the hotel’s location is another major highlight. It’s conveniently situated within walking distance to a variety of great restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, and shops—making it easy to explore and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Barcelona.||We left with warm memories and would happily return. Highly recommended!|

This hotel is perfectly fine and location is excellent. There is 24/7 shop next to it if you need anything. Staff is efficient and helpful. The problem is that there is no way it is a 5* hotel. It's at most 4* but I'd rate it 3*. Rooms are rather small but it's not too bad. Gym is tiny, there were already 3 people there when I went and I gave up. Pool is not the biggest one and each time I went to check it area was fully occupied (it was weekend though). Rooftop bar was also packed on weekend I think people from outside also have access, so there was barely any space to sit left, waiting time for drinks was also taking about 15-20 minutes because of amount of guests there. Breakfast was something what you could expect in 4* hotel but nothing outstanding. Overall, if truly want a 5* experience you won't find it here. Otherwise it's a good place to stay for a weekend and location is brilliant.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the rooftop bar, and much of it was thanks to our incredible server, Eric. From the moment we arrived, Eric made us feel genuinely welcome with his friendly attitude and professional service. He struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy the stunning views over Barcelona. Eric had excellent recommendations, the cocktails were spot-on and paired perfectly with the sunset. His knowledge of the menu, upbeat energy, and effortless charm elevated our evening into something truly memorable. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it made all the difference. The view of the city skyline was breathtaking, but Eric’s service made the whole night unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back and we’ll be asking for Eric!

Loved staying here. We were upgraded to a room with a beautiful terrace. The room itself was quite small and difficult to navigate for 2 people without bumping into each other constantly, but otherwise the service was great, and I would still come back.

Our first experience was meeting with Raul, the hotel’s guest relations manager. And it was lovely. He was helpful, friendly, warm, and he covered all the bases for us to have the best stay. At the hotel and in the city, recommending us different itineraries that would match our preferences. He also helped us find a beautiful restaurant to celebrate one of our birthdays. We felt seen, taken care of, and immediately at home. Raul provided us with the very best first experience. The rest of the staff keeps a high level as well, and the facilities are clean, modern, and the roof top pool facing the sea to die for. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely incredible view. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit dated. The staff was really kind to us. Also, the DJ playing on the top floor was quite loud until 10pm. Good if that's your jam. We did go and enjoy the rooftop for a bit — tapas and drinks were yummy.
