5 minutes walk from the nearest car park and centrally located in the old town this hotel is sympathetically restored in an old convent. The room was a good size with espresso machine, towelling robes and quality toiletries. Reception staff were helpful and the gym although small had the necessary equipment. The buffet breakfast was superb, catering to all dietary requirements.

Make sure you don’t have room 116 or numbers around there if you like daylight. This room was like being in a cave or a dungeon as we called it over our 2 days in Caceres. No natural light. The hotel itself is atmospheric and historic but this room had bars on the tiny window above head height that looked out to the pavement and feet walking by. I’m sure other rooms on higher floors are much better but as we asked to be moved to another room and denied I cannot comment. For 229 euros for 2 nights without breakfast I think we deserved some kind of window and fresh air. The hotel is central. Special rates for car parking 600 metres drive from the hotel but walking back is much shorter. Good directions are given on google maps by the check in staff. The hotel itself looks very smart and grand.

We stayed here for one night en route from Seville to Salamanca. In fact the hotel was good enough for a longer stay. It is situated in a beautiful historic building. Rooms are spacious. Service efficient rather than friendly. Breakfast was impressive. The location in the old town square means that apart from unloading you must park your car in a multi storey 10 minutes drive away. Fortunately the cut through the pedestrian area means the walk back is just 5 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

I was in room 118 for 4 nights. We have been in NH hotels before and 4 Star hotels many times so you know what to expect including the upper market price. This hotel rooms had a general lack of maintenance with holes in the walls, cracks and dirty marks in walls and floors. Floors made of cheap laminated material imitating wood. The surface around the washing basins were also or cheap board and broken damaging my silk pyjamas. I asked for ironing facilities, iron and board originally it was left in room 116 and when I asked again the cleaner sent it to my room. The iron'a surface was burnt and I damaged a cotton shirt of my partner likely enough I didn't use it in the dress of the wedding I was attending that morning so the catastrophe was avoided. I asked for a second iron and this time was a new one and did the job without incidences. My partner tried to talk to a receptionist on the phone when asked for the iron and she hanged up on him. He had to phoned again. We paid 220 euros for the Saturday night alone which would be ok if the room wasn't a mess unfortunately the Parador where we normally stay was fully booked. We asked to change our room twice and the hotel agreed however we were so tired after the wedding and the reception of the wedding the day after that we didn't have the energy to move all our staff to a different room so we stayed. I remember this hotel when It was part of the Meliá group and I loved it and also the location is great, unfortunately it is not to 4 stars standards anymore and it is clearly overpriced. The mini bar selection was very poor and the toiletries were also very poor, we had 1 tooth brush for two😁 likely we had our own toiletries. We stay in NH hotel in La Haya two.months ago and the difference was massive. I won't recommend to anybody.

The hotel services definitely do not match the price. The beds are terribly uncomfortable, the temperature is scorching hot during the winter time due to central heating (no matter how much water you drink, it always seems that you are dehydrating), and if you are going during the holidays forget about eating or even having a cup of tea. If you go on New Year's eve, you will find yourself with more closed streets than open and fasting until breakfast: they do not serve you anything at all. They do now warn you that the restaurant will be closed for more than two weeks. The complementary coffee in superior rooms is simply ghastly. The breakfast is for sure not worth the price and all of the pastries look and taste very much store bought. If you are bringing your pet, beware that they charge you 35€/night. Lady, but not least, the noise coming from the fridge os deafning.

We had a great stay here at the NH. The hotel is set in a picturesque location near Cáceres old town and the plaza mayor. It feels a little bit quirky, with some nice original features. The breakfast was good, excellent choice, nice environment, welcoming staff, but a few small misses, like the pastries varied in quality and some of the fruit wasn’t quite ripe. The room was nice, a little tired in parts, with some flaking paint, and some drab decor. But overall, it was great.

We had a night here on a trip around central Spain. The hotel is in a great location just near the Plaza Mayor and all main sights of the old town. It’s a solid 4 stars from us on the basis that it was good value and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good (although fruit wasn’t ripe - first world problem I realise!) but the food provision didn’t extend past 15h30 pm for any tapas which we thought was odd seeing that all us foreign travellers were arriving in the afternoon and clearly many of us wanted a cold beer and some tapas on the lovely leafy terrace. Only a suggestion as we managed to get food in town but they could be taking €s if they didn’t close. |Overall a good stay in a lovely old town packed with stunning architecture.

Nice hotel very close to the city center. Room was very spacious and comfortable. It is in the old town and proximity makes it easier to have a short break during a hot day in the city. Breakfast buffet was great, there is a lot of selection and the quality was ok. Value for the price was also very good, is was competitively priced against the other options in Caceres and it is cheaper compared to more touristy cities in the region. It was my second stay in the hotel and I would definitely stay there again if I visit Caceres in the future.
