Hotel NH Collection Madrid Gran Vía

Absolutely phenomenal! If I could award six stars, I would. From the second we arrived, the incredible staff made our stay exceptional, going above and beyond, especially to ensure my 4-year-old daughter was comfortable. The location is likely the best in Madrid, and the view from our junior suite honestly surpassed the brochure images. The room itself was fantastic: very comfortable, clean, with great operable balconies and an outstanding shower. We also appreciated the voice-activated Alexa for easy access to music and updates. The little touches were constant and delightful—we regularly received surprise cheese platters and chocolates. Breakfast was delicious, and on weekends, it's available conveniently past noon. The Guest Relations team was an invaluable resource for local dining suggestions and information. Finally, the rooftop bar offers an incredible view, and it was a bonus that hotel guests had free access. Overall, this is an outstanding hotel, and our experience was truly elevated by the amazing staff. Thank you!

I stayed at the Catalonia Hotel on Gran Vía with my family for six days, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The facilities are very modern, new, and exceptionally clean. Our room was spotless and comfortable throughout our stay. What really stood out was the hospitality—the staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel at home from the very first day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid. It felt like a home away from home for us.

I had a wonderful 3-night stay at NH Collection Madrid Gran Vía. The hotel is in a perfect location, the rooms are modern, comfortable, and spotless, and everything about the property feels welcoming and well cared for. What really made my stay special was the staff, especially at the reception. I would like to recognize Carolina in particular—she was extremely kind, professional, and always ready to help. Even when I arrived early in the morning before the usual check-in time, she went above and beyond to make sure I could check in earlier, which made a huge difference after a long journey. Throughout my stay, she was always attentive and supportive with a smile. This level of service truly sets the hotel apart. Historic buildings in Madrid often have to balance preserving their character while adding modern amenities and this hotel does it beautifully. You enter on the ground floor to check in, but the main lobby is actually on the 8th floor, which also hosts the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. On the 9th floor, the Skybar offers stunning views and unforgettable sunsets. Shout out to Veronica who set us up with a tuk tuk tour! The staff were exceptional friendly, attentive, and often rotated between the front desk and the 8th floor restaurant, so you get to know them throughout your stay. Our room was perfect for three people, with two balconies overlooking Gran Vía. Centrally located and full of charm we would absolutely stay here again!

I would like to compliment the staff member Isaac, as he was very helpful in resolving an issue with the safe in my room. He was kind, efficient, and discreet. The hotel is excellent, very well located, and the service — not only from Isaac but from the entire team — left a very positive impression on me.

This was a nice rooftop bar in the center of Madrid. It's located at the top of a hotel and occasionally has a line. I went early enough that I was able to walk right up. You can pick your seats, scan the QR code at your table and your drinks are served. The music is a little loud, appealing to a younger crowd. I liked my drink and thought it was a reasonable price.

This was a very nice hotel in Madrid located in a prime location walking distance from everything. They also have a nice rooftop with beautiful views. Amazing staff and great service. I highly recommend staying here.

I know, I just reviewed the hotel itself and then Clyde's breakfast service, but tonight, I stayed in, had a nice shower after exploring, and went up to the 8th floor for what I thought would be a quick drink. (First hard alcohol in Spain!) While sitting there enjoying a Negroni, I decided to look at the menu (always with the QR codes!), and decided on "Brioche tostado de carabinero, mahonesa ahumada y lima, huevas y albahaca." I was presented with two dinner rolls, split and filled with a wonderfully smoky, savory shrimp/squid/shellfish concoction, topped with what looked like mayonnaise, but brought more smoky mystery to the game, as well as chopped chives and fish roe. It's like they read my mind and said "Give him the fishy stuff he loves, in spades!" Not only that, but ordering food brought out hummus, topped in a smoky sauce and several types of sesame seeds, along with bread and fresh olive oil. I am in heaven.

Meh over-priced drinks, meh service, great view at sunset. Sadly, our evening was overcast. So, 40 minutes in the queue for Meh.

We booked our stay through Costco Travel. The check-in is on the eighth floor so the first floor just has a small lounge/waiting area with a receptionist/bellboy who tell you to check-in on the eighth floor and take your bags. There are two elevators, both fast but small. The hotel is located on the main street, Gran Via and is fairly centrally located to all the tourist spots- maybe 15-20min walk to everything. Our package include daily breakfast buffet. They offer a lot of good food, most of which are fresh. I did feel that their vegetables were not fresh and that they put out fruits from previous days. Our room was small but it was plenty of space for two people who packed lightly. It seemed as though they just renovated their hotel so everything was very modern. If you're in a room that is shareable by one door, you will hear everything- coughing, snoring, talking, even walking. Check-out was simple, staff were very courteous and pleasant. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location. Clean and well kept up. They lock the doors so you cannot leave before 7am and there is no way to get coffee. Great view from roof, however.

It's a good hotel. Fine rooftop bar. But my experience there wasn't the best due to some bad hospitality! I stayed there for a week and even though everything went well during my stay, the checkout day was pretty bad.... the night before I found out my flight was delayed so I asked to front desk for a late check out to what they answered that there was no problem and that I just needed to pay some additional costs, then the next day they called to my room and said they could not honor their word and that I needed to leave by the regular checkout time, which I did (I did an online checkout and payed for the extras). So I decided to leave my bags at the front desk and have something to eat batiré I went to the airport. When I came back they didn't give me my bags until I payed the extras, to what I answered "I already payed online". They asked for my credit card and charged it with the extras, right after they says they were sorry because I was charged twice for the same thing... I had to dispute the second charge with my bank to get it sorted out. A pain in the but!
