NH Collection Santiago de Compostela, a Design Boutique Hotel Santiago de Compostela, Spain

"This design hotel is in a quiet area, a 13-minute walk from Obradoiro Square and the Cathedral. It offers free WiFi, an indoor swimming pool, and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. The NH Collection Santiago de Compostela is set surrounded by the Obradoiro Parks. The university campus and Auditorio de Galicia are both minutes away. The hotel has a heated pool, a sauna and Turkish bath. There is also a fitness centre and a massage service. All rooms at the NH Collection Santiago have a canopy bed, soundproofing and city views. The modern design includes a 46-inch flat-screen TV, tea and coffee facilities, and attractive wood furniture. The hotel's healthy Antiox buffet breakfast features antioxidant dishes. The restaurant serves creative Galician food, and there is a choice between a daily menu or à la carte dining. A café-bar is also available." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Conveniently located but still a bit of a schlep from the Parador and Cathedral. The NH Santiago is definitely a city hotel and a bit generous with the 5star rating. Room on the second floor very roomy clean with all mod cons. Dropped bags and headed for the pool. Enjoyed using the indoor pool very much as was beginning to miss my daily swim in London. Maybe in the morning will brave the outdoor pool before we check out. Would recommend staying here as a good choice for those wanting to avoid the hussle and bussle of countles pelegrinos. |Fernando Nieto travelling around Galicia visiting from London

A spacious room, very clean and nicely decorated. Alex on Reception was rude Another Receptionist checked us in asked for my credit card, we explained we wanted to split the bill at end of our stay. She told us I wouldn’t be charged, just card would used as insurance. The full amount was charged and I have not been refunded yet, despite paying in full on different cards. Hotel is a good 15 minutes from the old town. Pool had too few sun loungers and all placed in the shade. Outside bar area lacked atmosphere

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful, very sleek and modern looking. The only complaint is that the location is not quite ideal- but this isn't a deal breaker. You will enjoy your stay here.

Nice hotel about 16 minutes walk from the Santiago Cathedral. Quiet area, pleasant rooms, good breakfast. Very little interaction with staff. Set menu for dinner as pictured was underwhelming … the potato was hard and dry and the pork was tough. Otherwise a good stay.

About a 15 min walk from the main center. Like a convention center. Limited ambience. Rooms comfortable and clean but dated and showing their age in certain areas (wooden toilet seats?!). Good breakfast in the lobby cafe if you do not want to have the full service - we got a coffee and some delicious pan con tomate. Rooms are well priced.

The restaurant named “Abeiro” deserves Much acclaim. Victor, the manager, runs a first-rate restraint that towers over even the Michelin * restaurant in this town. The Wine list is superb, Victor knows his wines well, and they have a generosity of spirit here that is just above everybody else. If you are a red-wine lover, then definitely order one made out of the indigenous Mencia grape - such as from Bierzo or Ribeira Sacra but also from non-regional local vineyards. They also have world-class white wines here too.I highly recommend this restaurant and tell them I sent you. My only difficulty was with a fool who was moving tables there, who, when I asked him how to spell the hotel name, he very condescendingly told me “Abeirto” and he was not nice about it. If you want educated people talk to Victor and his staff, but don’t talk to a guy who is moving tables or doing the grant work because you will get nothing but ignorance.

The hotel is ideally situated, providing convenient access to the charming streets of the old city of Santiago de Compostela. Its prime location makes it easy for guests to explore local attractions and enjoy the rich history of the area. Overall, the staff were attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, I did encounter one staff member during check-in who seemed to be having a difficult day; his demeanor was noticeably rude, which was a bit off-putting. Despite that, the hotel itself is well-maintained, with clean and comfortable accommodations. I found the beds to be exceptionally firm, providing a restful night’s sleep. The dining options were satisfying, with a variety of tasty dishes available. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view of the sunset from the hotel; it was truly a memorable experience that added to the overall enjoyment of my trip.

A 6 night stay at the NH in Santiago, highly recommended. Friendly helpful staff, clean spacious rooms, indoor/outdoor pools. Lovely food. Family friendly. Great value for money. Choose to have breakfast on 2 occasions great choice and caters for Coeliac residents. Environmentally aware, great incentive. A Free drink voucher Per room occupant if chose not to clean room.
